Did not work for me
I used this product for months but did not make any difference in my skin and in some ways made my acne worse! I know it is loads of good reviews on this and I do believe it work for some types of skin but i don't think is for everyone, for the price (which was quite expensive because I live in the UK) I would not recommend it to anyone.

AMAZING. I AM SPEECHLESS. BUY THIS. WORTH EVERY PENNY.
I cannot even begin to explain how much this product has changed my life. Within one month my severe acne completely disappeared from my face. I had been using Neutrogena's On the Spot treatment for ten weeks prior to receiving this in the mail with ZERO results. I FINALLY decided to cave and order Acne.org's solution. Not only did this cost 300x less than Neutrogena's 0.75 oz little tube, but it actually worked 300x better. I still cry happy tears looking in the mirror because buying this product was the best decision of my life.

Nice product but hasn't reduce my redness to a good extent
I have been using this for several months now, it is a nice product but again my main complaint with paulas choice is the price. These really are nice quality products so I understand the price, none of her products have broken me out which is important for most people on this site. It hasn't reduced my redness to a significant extent however this is only a face wash so don't have high hopes. It doesn't dry my skin out (Combination oily) and I don't really have any complaints. However, once my bottle has ran out I don't know If I will re-purchase due to the price and me feeling that it does not do that much for redness left behind from spots which is my primary concern. If you have slight redness I would recommend this, however if you have stubborn marks of redness like myself you need to focus on something targeting the deeper layers of the skin, I dont think this working on the epidermis will do much unfortunately.

The regimen is all products that you can get at Wal-Mart for half the price
Not sure how this is a thing. I mean...I tried it for 3 months. My skin has never been so dull looking and the acne still was a problem. Also, you can buy a soft Cleaner like Cetaphil (or others), get Benzol Peroxide and a non comedogenic moisturizer at Wal-Mart for half the price of this. I'm sure you can get some AHA somewhere for much cheaper as well too. I didn't look too much for that one. Just like with any product, you may get lucky and have it clear your acne. The price to pay for most of those who use BP every day is dull, lifeless, dry skin. Even with a ton of moisturizer and adding the Jojoba oil and trying the AHA. I gave it 2 stars because I know that getting most of these products at Wal-Mart can definitely clear the skin of some people. If you don't mind likely having dull, lifeless looking skin. Some of you won't mind...getting it clear is the only priority and I can get that.

Pretty Good
I didn't get the "quick fix" I wanted but this is the best product I've found so far. After the first few weeks I was still having breakouts but I noticed a difference in the consistency and duration of the pimples -- they weren't as severe and they faded quicker. It's been a few months now and I'm still not totally clear like I'd hoped BUT there is definitely improvement and my acne mostly just flares up in correlation to my menstrual cycle now as opposed to having moderate breakouts all the time. I use this product and the face wash but chose to buy a generic moisturizer. No problems with dryness or peeling.

Don't stop using it or you'll get breakouts!

Pros:

Clears acne quickly!
Good Price, good amount

Cons:

Must keep using
Makes skin flaky!!

I am a teen with acne-prone skin. My skin is very oily but since this product it has been oily but flaky? When I first began to use this product it worked tremendously within the first week. I had little acne bumps all over my forehead and active pimples around my mouth, chin and cheeks, pretty much everywhere. Your skin does go through a very harsh stripping of its oils to really just dry out your acne so my skin became very flaky. It took about 3 months for my skin to completely clear and I was left with loads of hyper pigmentation/acne scars. I did not see this as much of a problem since this could be covered with makeup. Before I continue I would like to say that the moisturizer is too light and did not moisturize well, it was also very oily! :( The cleanser has no acne treatment in it and is VERY comparable to Philosophy's Purity cleanser. It removes makeup very well! Now months and months passed I would never break out but I would still have this flakiness that would make my liquid foundation not very appealing :( It would be flaky and just not "perfect". At first i thought it was fine, at least my acne was gone! I thought that if I stopped using the Benzoyl Peroxide(BP) it would stop being flaky. I also thought that it would be okay to stop using it since my skin is clear. I was wrong. I replaced the BP with the Neutragena Stress Control Toner and it really did the trick! No acne, no flakes and makeup was applying perfectly! Little did I know that one week after not using the BP my little forehead acne bumps came back! and now I have about 4 pimples randomly throughout my face. I quickly stopped using the toner and went back to the BP and it began making my skin flaky again. I started using the BP again a week ago and no improvement yet... In fact, I have gotten 2 new pimples on my cheeks. Hopefully stopping the use of the BP did not ruin my "relationship" with The Regimen forever... Wish me luck in the next few weeks!

Acne.org Treatment is the best

Pros:

Cleared my acne
When it dries is clear not white like others
Doesn't smell bad

Cons:

Flakiness
Itching/redness
Drying

Since 5th grade (2005) i started with acne on my forehead then on my nose then my chin then my cheeks and then it was out of control all over my face by the age of 17 i felt like nothing would work. I even thought about cutting my face, because it was a fustration everyday. I would look in the mirror and be disgusted about my face. On a last hope i went to youtube and found acne.org i had doubts but after seeing it has worked for many out there i decide to give it a try and that was the best decision i have ever made. It worked!!!! THANK YOU DAN. The first days won't be easy, but hang in there is the best product to fight acne. I strongly recommended.

GREAT, BUT BEWARE

Pros:

none so far but hoping it'll clear my acne completely
keep in mind it's only been a week so im still hopeful
can tame the dryness (although it took me a while to find the right products)

Cons:

INTENSE burning
EXTREME drying in my case

Okay, so today is my 7th night of this regime. Yesterday, my face literally felt like a snake. It was tight, uncomfortable, and BURNED. First several night, I didn't notice anything different about my skin. No dryness either. But 4th night, oh my gosh, the burning was absolute insanity. It felt like my face was on fire, and the moisturizer didn't do anything to help, and frankly just made the burning worsen. Last night, I went to CVS and purchased some Aloe Vera Gel. Thank God I did cause it took care of the burning immediately, and at night I put the aquaphor all over my face, and it felt like heaven. And in the morning all the dead skin just came off when i rubbed my face. It felt great! All in all, so far, i don't see any clearing in my acne so i'm still gonna stick with it. But just beware yourself that if you do have sensitive skin make sure you have aloe vera and some aquaphor. It literally saved my life cause i would cry so much about the burning! i'm still gonna stick with it, and give some more feedback soon. Hope this helps!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
