Life saver
I am a big advocate for this product. It was the only thing to clear up my cystic acne within a few days. It is not for people with sensitive skin. Has anyone heard of the magical powers of taking a Zinc chelate supplement? It has worked wonders. I take a zinc vitamin and use this acnefree system in the mornings. best skin in years!

I already know that it's curing my acne♥️
Hi, I'm from SriLanka. I've actually never had acne during my teenage years but after leaving school, for some reason i started getting acne. They were not severe or inflammed but some mild acne where i could easily get rid of using a neutrogena facial cleanser. I was used to be a heavy makeup lover I kept on trying different methods. I was moving between estee lauder double wear and revlon colorstay foundations. Something went wrong somewhere and my acne began to become little worse than before. When I found that there was nothing neutrogena could do, i went to a dermatologist where i was prescribed with doxycycline tablets along with adapalene. It cured my acne to be honest but it was little late when i got to find that if i stop taking doxy that my acne would reappear. I had clear skin for almost 6-7 months even after i stopped the treatment but my acne returned as if they're going take some revenge on me. I did everything I could except for going back to a dermatologist cause I really didn't want to take any oral medication because i felt that it somehow affected my monthly cycle during that time. So even when my mom was insisting me to go for a dermatologist i kept on searching alternate ways of battling against my acne. I tried almost every DIY method that's been popular on youtube. Facial cleansers/scrubs/masks/ayurvedic methods etc etc. I remember i used benzac AC 5% on my acne for a month listening to my best friend but that only burned and peeled my skin off like crazy so thinking back about benzoyl peroxide was a huge NO NO for me . Onedayi accidentally came across a forum in MUA where many people were swearing upon a thing called "The Regimen by acne.org" I was curious i kept on reading and went on YouTube to search on it. The result was tons of success stories of the regimen users. I found that it has benzoyl peroxide too. It made me think twice but i decided to make the choice because i had nothing to loose. When people used to ask me about my acne almost everyday (except my boyfriend) it was really stressful. I ordered the regimen starter pack and received it only last week . Been using it for five days now. I'm already seeing a big difference. My bumps have reduced to a great extent. I don't flake severely because my skin is sort of used to benzoyl 5% strength so it can tolerate 2.5% easily. However i can feel my acne healing gradually . It's still the 6th day but I'm really happy that I decided to give this a try in the end. Thank you very much Dan. You found a miracle product. I'm waiting for a month and then will use AHA as per instructions. I ordered jojoba oil and AHA so waiting for them to arrive here soon. Acne.org customer officers are also very supportive i got all responses for my email queries. Thank you again acne.org. I have a hope now. I know I'm going to end this battle soon :) i will keep on buying this miracle product for maintenance(once I'm totally clear from my acne) *****if you really want this to work pls make sure that you stay away from heavy make up (atleast for a while) let your skin be free from other chemicals , if you really want to use makeup try mineral makeup so it won't give your skin that heavy feeling :) i know it works this way because when i was going through my dermatologist prescription on previous occasion i did not use make up and i healed faster than he assumed :) hope this helps

favorite treatment
I've used the acne regimen kit awhile back before, but stopped once I ran out of cleanser. I didn't have too many breakouts, mostly hormonal & a lot of hyperpigmentation & made my skin look worse than what it really was. I love skincare & love taking care of my skin but for some reason my skin was not loving me back. I would have so much texture and whiteheads, stubborn pimples. I've tried soo many things with no results & it just did not want to work. I still had benzoyl peroxide left, so I decided to use it again. I've been using it for about a week and my face is significantly more smooth! When I wash my face, I don't feel anymore texture & it makes me so happy! I had some breakouts on my cheek and they were gone in about 3 days & I have no active breakouts. This benzoyl peroxide is truly amazing :) I ordered the kit again, this time with AHA, so I'll see how that goes!

have u tried it on the front neck area? was curious if it would irritate it
June 21, 2017
@leahh0805 yes, kind of. I applied it to my lower jaw/under the chin area and the top part of my neck was itchy, irritated and red and it stayed like that for a day or 2. Now I just avoid going too far down. Hope this helped!

after stopping and using the regimen again, has your skin clear up again?
July 14, 2017
@cynndi yes! I kind of took a break from it because it was making my skin too dry for my liking. I traveled out of the US and didn't want to bring it and deal with my skin being dry for my vacation. Due to traveling and being on the plane for so long, I did break out and started getting texture again. Now that I'm back, I used BP for a couple nights to clear my skin and it did. I only get a breakout every now and then. I mix the AHA into my moisturizer every night for my scars and my texture has smoothened out drastically. Hope this helped!

I couldn't Thank Enough :)
Suddenly suffered from hormonal cystic acne that terribly painful and prone since last September 2016. I did use proactiv solutions but I dont know why it doesn't seem to work on my skin anymore (especially their + products. So one day I browsed youtube and end up with acneorg's reviews. It took me a month before I decided to buy it because I am kind of sceptical since it also contains 2.5% BP just like proactiv. But finally I tell myself, what I got to loose, my skin is already on it's terrible condition anyway. (moreover, it's cheaper that proactive!) So here I am, entering the 5th week using the regimen. The only thing I could say is, my skin gets better and better. Yes, now I got super dry and flakey skin (I am normally oily skin), but the texture of my face, amazing. BP literally controls my skin, especially acne. Well, still got new acnes, but really small and not RED just like I had one before. Thanks for once again putting my self confidence back. Look forward for the better improvement ahead :)

A1 product: very detailed review
First let me say that I love the honesty and the straight to the point no bs factor about this product . I have the travel kit and let me tell you it's been barely 2 weeks the bottles are still full and my skin is 90% clear of acne if not more. A big part of that is because of this benzoyl peroxide ESPECIALLY because I've been using it as directed when it comes to delicately placing it on my face . And I follow that to a T . As with the cleanser and moisturizer 10 seconds . Watch the video on how to use these products and follow it. It works . I started off with skin that wasn't crazy cystic acne or anything like that but I couldn't get rid of my acne completely ever. This is looking promising. AND you know those annoying little bumps that aren't acne but are under your bottom lip area and above where your chin is ? They are clearing up as well. Honestly u can substitute the cleanser and moisturizer and buy plain emphasis on plain n gentle ones from wherever and just follow the same steps but the benzoyl peroxide is a must have (and I know u can get it over the counter but I like the acne.org one) it's a gel like formula that absorbs completely, no white chalky goo cream that u can't wear under makeup n gets greasy as you rub it on. When I put this on it kind of instantly calms any irritation or little bumps I might have now . By the time it dries down I can definately feel my skin being smoother nothing mind blowing but I see it and feel it. One thing that I didn't exactly follow is how much I used. The first week I used the reccomended amount to start off with and at night I used a tad more the second week I used a whole index fingers length at night and in the morning I used a little less. I'm still in the second week right now and I'm now using a whole fingers length day and night. And the reason I did that is because in the day I did it want to dry my skin out too much and risk being crusty and ashy even after applying moisturizer I was scared to go in all the way do I held back a bit. Now, my skins used to it and it does get dry like around my nose here and there and mouth if I don't take care of myself for the day.

Im back I just wanted to say also I'm a woman of color Black ,Latina and I noticed back when my acne was the worst it's been (puberty) that the neutrogena clean n clear etc etc drugstore fails that would buy often had benzoyl peroxide in them and were targeted towards Caucasians with blackheads crater like acne and redness (none of which were my conceren) those products never did anything for me really besides make me feel less dirty like any old bar of soap would .and I found that for my Brown Skin that salcic acid worked a lot better at clearing my whiteheads on my forehead n face . For example this ambi even and clear pump bottle cleanser was much more effective . So when I saw this was a benzoyl peroxide based system I was like UGH great another product that's not for me . I thought it probably only clears cystic acne and blackheads and wont do squat for my skin but this did so read my above review and give it a try. The travel size is a good deal and all u need for a while.

Acne is under control for the first time in two years!
I started struggling with acne in my late 20's and I am now in my late 30's. I had a major painful outbreak of persistent acne for the last two years and this kit has transformed my skin in about a months time. Today my skin is beautiful, clear, and luminous. I was afraid to try this because of bad experiences with proactive years ago and I thought benzoyl peroxide was not for me, but I was wrong. Upon first application the pain and irritation my skin was immediately soothed. I have very sensitive skin and knew this going in, so I adjusted the regimen. first day I applied twice a day, next day once a day and then a two day break and then two days on once a day two days off for the rest of the month. I did not increase application to every day because I was experiencing progress and I did not need to use the treatment every day for results. For me using the treatment to often causes irritation, today I use the treatment once or twice a week to maintain my results. I love the cleanser and moisturizer and I use these every day. This is a very effective system and I could not be happier!

Best thing EVER!!
I have had mild acne for years. I was never able to successfully clear it up until I found the acne.org regimen!! I didn't even know acne.org had their own regimen. I just used this website to find home remedies. Anyways, I've been using this regimen one week and my skin is so clear! I have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful my skin looks! I did have a break out this week (the instructions said I probably would) but it is already clearing up! I was only gonna buy this product once, but now that I know it works, I'll continue to use it! I 10/10 recommend. Use it exactly like it tells you and you will definitely see a difference in your skin. UPDATE** I am currently about 4 days in to week three. I still have pretty clear skin. My acne from week 2 cleared up fast, but I got 2 stress pimples this week. They are taking awhile to clear up, I believe it's because I've been stressed all week. Hopefully they will be gone by week 4. Still love this product! *WEEK 8 UPDATE** I started using AHA one week ago and it has been the best thing! My skin is SO clear!!! I used to have dark scaring spots on the right side of my face but the AHA has helped completely remove it! I am obsessed and will continue using this regimen.

Best Treatment Ever after 40 years of searching
I have been using the Acne.org regimen for 8 months now, and my skin has never been in better shape. I am a woman in my mid-50s and have been suffering with acne since my teens. I have taken antibiotics, used Retin-A and every kind of OTC acne medication available. Nothing cleared me up like this regimen. I thought I was allergic to benzoyl peroxide because my skin would get so flaky and irritated when using it. But using the entire regimen including jojoba oil, moisturizer and the AHA lotion work like magic to keep my skin clear of blemishes and to improve the texture of my skin to that of "normal" people. I am so grateful to have found these products and instructions. Also, the products themselves are superior to anything else out there and they are economical and last a long time.

Hi, how many drops of jojoba oil did you add to your moisturizer? Did you use it morning and night? Also how often did you use the AHA? I have just finished 3 weeks of the regimen and want to start jojoba for the flakiness.

Two month review
I'm on my second week of using these products and things are going well. The first week my skin was very dry, burned, and flaky but my acne was clearing up. There was even a day when I had no active acne! A first for me in a long time! However now the second week I am having a small breakout. Which they said is normal. I have two or three large pimples and clogged pores on my nose but the rest of my skin seems to be doing okay. I have to say I do enjoy the cleanser and how effortlessly it cleans my skin. Unlike any cleanser I've used before. Although it tends to dry out my face. The benzoyl peroxide goes on clear which is good and haven't experienced any bleaching with it yet. The moisturizer is also good as it doesn't irritate my skin or make it greasy. What I like most about these products is their ability to control the skins oil production. My skin is extremely oily and have never been able to control it until now and I've tried everything out there. What I dislike most is how much of each product I have to use which makes me feel I will run out quickly. (This stuff is expensive). My skin looks mostly like what it did before but less oily and slightly smoother. I will update in a couple weeks to track the progress. 1 MONTH UPDATE I have been using the regimen for a month and I still feel like I'm waiting to see the full effect of these products. I still get acne (maybe from stress?) but my skin is overall smoother. I am no longer dry but I am not oily either. I also have less clogged pores than before. I am now applying a generous amount of BP coating the skin entirely. One thing to note these products do nothing to fade acne scars. In fact the scars I've been getting are almost worse than before and are taking a while to fade. The acne seems to form quicker with these products but they don't fade any quicker. Definitely nothing dramatic but there's small positive changes. Still hoping I can get completely clear. 2 MONTH UPDATE Skin is acne free for the most part and have only broke out once in the past month. However every acne has left a bad mark so I don't feel like my skin is truly clear. I am currently searching for something to help the scarring while staying on the regimen (aha has not helped much). I am also concerned of skin discoloration another user has mentioned. I've noticed a slight unpleasant tan but didn't think anything of it until I saw another review about it. My skin is also somewhat rough and dry even with moisturizer. It's especially apparent when I apply sunscreen (needed on the regimine). Despite causing some addition skin concerns, overall I am impressed with the results and it has been a positive experience.

After 2 week did your skin become better already?
November 1, 2017
I've been considering buying the regime. Thank you for your update. What scares me is that there seems to be a lot of side effects to the overall good result. I have moderate acne and I don't want my skin to get worse...I ordered the travel size benzoyl peroxide and will use it with my regular skincare routine to see if that alone will make a difference. I know that in the past when I used benzoyl peroxide, I didn't put it all over my face just on the effected areas. And I used very little BP (I always used like a pea-size amount and never increased it) even though my dermatologist told me to put it all over my face. I never followed those instructions because it is crazy drying to my skin. So just applying BP to the pimple prone areas was good enough and I had pleasant results from it. I hope I will achieve similar results again.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
