Don't waste your money nothing but scammers
Using proactive you will never be completly cured from acne I felt like my skin looked better after I stoped. Also look up custumer service reviews there's proof that they are crooks don't ever give them your card number. I had so many problems with them sending products after I canceled. Just don't do it there are so many different products out there.

Pros:

It works!
Cheap!

A couple of months ago I started to get lots of cysts on the back of my neck. Nothing worked!!!! Not even prescriptions! So I went to Walgreens and purchased this cleanser with a printable coupon (check out their website) The acne is gone!!! The dark marks are gone! Not even the Clinique dark spot corrector got rid of them!!! I'm so glad I decided to try this cleanser, today I started using the BP 4% on my face and will let u know!

Good Product

Pros:

Stops oily skin with regular usage
Reduces acne

Cons:

Burns at first

I first started using Dan's BP in 2009 when my breakouts started getting out of hand. I still continue to use this product now. The whole regimen hasn't cleared up my acne; however i believe the root cause of my acne is: Very bad diet Allergies Alcohol Highly recommend this product!!

Great product but they cheat their customers through billing

Pros:

product works well

Cons:

over priced
surprise billing

A few months ago I ordered Proactiv. You know, that celebrity endorsed recurring face wash commercial. What a great product. My face is now pretty much flawless. Note that I did not sign up for recurring purchases/orders. However, the next month I received another face wash kit in the mail and I was charged 22.99. I thought, 'Big deal, I was out anyway and needed to reorder so I'll just keep this system how it is.' The next month I was charged another 22.99 and never received my shipment. I called to ask why and I was told that the previous shipment I received (with no receipt, email, etc) was actually 68.97 and that I would be billed 3 consecutive months for the shipment I already received. Really?! Almost $70 for facewash?! So I did a little research and found that Walmart sells the same crap for $11. I give Proactiv 5 stars for the product and ZERO stars for customer service. They will no longer be receiving my hard earned money because I don't pay companies that cheat their customers. I will be buying the same facewash at Walmart for $11 because at least I know I'm not going to get a surprise bill next month.

Getting Ripped off by Rodan & Fields

Cons:

terrible service
uncooperative
not professional/ shotty containers that break.

I have been a customer for a year, and their customer service is less than zero. It doesn't matter if the product works or not they will not help you even when they have over charged you. Don't get ripped off like I did.

Wow, kookie, I'd say you're the one who is a "cranky pants." Why insult dandkmax personally? Completely uncalled for! You're treating a stranger terribly for no reason, so I can only assume, according to your logic, that everyone you meet treats you badly, too. If so, you deserve it!

Why, oh why?

Pros:

Easy to do regimen

Cons:

Stopped working
Waste of $$
Horrible customer service

Okay, let's go back to a time when I didn't have acne. It was 2010 and I had to spend a year in Utah. The air in Utah is very dry and the climate change kind of wreaked havoc on my skin. I didn't have acne, but I was experiencing my first "breakouts". Obviously, I panicked and begged my parents to send me some sort of acne products. Of course they send the almighty PROACTIV SOLUTION!! Guaranteed to work or your money back. HA, yeah right. First of all, they send you lots of cleanser and toner, but barely any moisturizer. Last time I checked, applying moisturizer sparingly will not help with the dry Utah air. Anyways, I used this "solution" for a few months and I suppose it helped make the pimples go away. I wasn't strict with the regimen, but it seemed to get the job done. Let's fast forward to January 2011... Why are the pimples coming back? I'm still using Proactiv and they're freaking coming back! I want my money back! Never happened. I made multiple calls, spoke to various people, and I never saw a penny of my money back. Also, it took months for them to stop sending me my auto-shippments and to stop charging my credit card. Horrible company, horrible products. Enough said.

In love with this product

Pros:

Clears acne

Cons:

Drying at first
Brief burning of eyes

I LOVE this product so much! Ever since I started using this product I've received tons of compliments on my skin. Prior to using this I tried so many different products such as AcneFree,Proactive, neutrogena, clean and clear but nothing cleared my acne completely. The benzoyl peroxide treatment is high quality and is better than anything you'll find in the store. It even works better than the medicine my dermatologist prescribed me. It cleared my acne in two weeks. I've been using this treatment consistently for almost two years, and it's the only acne treatment I use. :)

it works!

Pros:

it works

Cons:

expensive to ship to UK

after 7 months on accutane, acne returned and it was bad. And on top of acne returning I lost 50% of my hair. So, in a desperate attempt I decided to give regimen a try and it did wonders to my skin. I have no active acne and my skin is under control. It is costly for me to get it from states as I live in UK but I have no other option at the moment. I recommend it, give it a try:)

TERRIBLE

Pros:

Works for like a week

Cons:

Drys skin
Makes it red
Makes your skin break out

I started breaking out in fourth grade, with minor pimples, so my mom bought me proactiv. It worked for about a week, then my skin got red and broke out. It was terrible. I was a little chubby and now i had zits, so the stress got worse and worse. Now I am in seventh grade and my skin is almost clear, but proactiv started this nightmare i went through with my skin... IT'S A SCAM DO NOT BUY THIS TERRIBLE PRODUCT!

LOVE IT!!!!!!

Pros:

Works quickly
gets rid of acne

Cons:

It dries your skin

My best friend and I both purchased the acne.org regimen almost a year ago. We both suffer from severe cystic acne. Our acne is mostly on our cheeks and chin. We never get acne on our foreheads. When I purchased it I followed the directions exactly how it said. After a week I saw a big difference. Even my family started seeing a difference. The only down side I experienced when I first started using the regimen was I still had acne not as bad which is expected ( it take time to get rid of acne) but my skin was extremely dry. It was flaky and putting make up on top made it so much worst. My friend said this happened to her too. After a month of using it I only had acne scars and I stop using the regimen like the direction said I used it here and there. My friend stop using it after a week because she wasn't getting results like I was. If you are a person that wants to see results quick, please use it for two months and then decide weather it worked or not. I'm not the type that likes to stick to a regimen for to long and I like to try new things. But when ever my acne gets bad I always go back to the Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment. I really don't care for the cleanser or the moisturizer that comes with the regimen, So I didn't repurchase it. You can get better ones from the drugstore. But the Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment works really well. It is the only thing that really help get rid of my cystic acne.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
