literally did nothing but make it worse
After seeing so many good reviews about this product, I was extremely disappointed in the outcomes after receiving it. It did absolutely nothing to improve my moderate acne and kinda made it worse. The use of the towel method thing that you had to do with the product harshened my skin so badly, and it was so disappointing. I really thought this could clear everything up.

After 20 years I'm finally free
I waited for ~6 months before reviewing this product, and now I can safely say: WOW, IT ACTUALLY WORKS! Let me give you a little background: I've had acne for almost 20 years and had tried all the treatments known to man, such as salicylic acid, birth control pills, Zynerit, glycolic acid, antibiotics. I visited many dermatologists, one of them even prescribed Roacuttane, which I took for more than 6 months. None of the treatments worked unfortunately (Zynerit sort of did something there, but didn't clear me up properly; Roacuttane and pills only made things worse). I tried at some point Brevoxyl (also benzoyl peroxide) but it didn't work for me at the time: now I realize I didn't give it enough time.
So eventually I decided to try the 'miracle' acne.org regimen, although it looked too good to be true. At first nothing happened, but after around 4 months my face cleared up completely. So if you are starting this regimen remember to give it time, even if it takes a few months.

Can't imagine my day without it
It is my favorite product from the whole line and I use it twice a day as my daily cream, thus under I put some moisturizing day cream for acne prone skin (previously Rev Acnosal, Effaclar H and now trying out Pergam Acnell) as I find it too light to keep my skin moisturized enough, especially in winter or when using topical skin treatments.
It keeps my oils under control. Specifically noticed when sometimes due to my laziness after washing my face/having shower I haven't put this cream immediately on, within an hour my T zone becomes oily like a pancake. Also once while traveling I was in a country where they do not sell LRP products at all (and I didn't know that) and I ran out of my Effaclar Duo - you can't imagine how horrible my skin became just in one week without the cream! Due to overproducing the oils my pores became clogged and I got pimples everywhere - even where I usually haven't got! And I kept all the rest of my routine the same.
I should note down I like the new Duo plus version better than the old Effaclar Duo, as it lightens the redness on my cheeks (sensitive skin) and acne scars. After one year of using it my old scars on the forehead and cheeks have become almost invisible, on the chin not so much but only because my acne isn't cured and pimples and cysts keep popping up there (hormonal imbalance).
I give only 4 stars because it doesn't moisturize enough for my personal preferences. Otherwise it would be 5.

Effective but....
I was on my 2nd week of using this regimen and i can say about 70% of my acne has already cleared up. But my face was so itchy, flaky, rough, red and everytime I'd apply the bp and moisturizer my face would burn.
Is that normal? Now is the 3rd week and I don't know what went wrong but a lot of pimples are starting to pop on my face and now i woke up with dry blood on my cheek, i might've accidentally scratched or touched it during the night when i was sleeping :((
Oh and my face is getting darker and still feels like sandpaper.

Works!
This is a review of the acne.org regimen INCLUDING the AHA moisturizer.
I am 44 yrs old. I have struggled with non-inflammatory acne (blackheads & whiteheads) since I was 16. I also have anti aging concerns as well - i.e. fine lines, uneven skin tone and texture. I was exhausted trying to combat BOTH of my skincare issues effectively!
Enter acne.org. I had serious reservations using BPO on my 44 yr old skin as I "heard" it would kill healthy skin cells along with acne causing bacteria. Absolutely not true! Benzoyl peroxide in a 2.5% concentration will indeed kill acne bacteria, and will not damage skin cells at all. My skin has never, I mean never looked better in my life!!
My routine follows Dan's regimen 100% accurate to his instructions. I use the AHA Moisturizer 3-4 nights per week after my BPO soaks in. I LOVE this moisturizer. It makes my skin soooo smooth and bump free! Thank you Dan for such amazing and affordable skin care for those of us with acne AND those of us with acne PLUS aging concerns. It's great for both :)

Don't Overuse!
This product could really dry me out. The first few nights I used it I woke up and my skin was super dry and flaky. I decided to start using it very minimally, as a spot treatment. Putting just a tiny dab on any pimples I have. I think it helps speed up the drying and healing process of the pimples.

Will never go back
Well, let me start by saying that I'm a 23 year old female and I have had acne since I was about 9 (around the time I got my first period). I also have a skin picking condition that I'm sure many of you are familiar with (dermatillomania) where I compulsively pick my skin, not just acne but everywhere. So the road has been long. I've never had really severe cystic acne (but I do often get cysts), however I had/have moderate acne made much worse by hours spent picking at my face daily. I got bullied very severely for my face in elementary and middle school so believe me when I say I've tried everything to get rid of acne. Oxypads, accutane, antibiotics, proactiv, all the drugstore regimens, Clinique, baking soda, lemon juice, plain water... You name it, I've tried it. Since high school, I was teetering between "screw it I give up cause nothing will work on my face" and "screw it I'll try anything because I have nothing to lose". About 5 months ago, I took the plunge and ordered the acne.org regimen. I've known about it forever but was reluctant to try it because I just figured it would either work for a week and stop working or not work at all like all the other things I tried. Let me tell you, if I had pictured myself going in public without a full face of makeup 5 years ago I likely would have laughed at myself and then cried at the thought of it. I never wear makeup now. I will never stray from this product. That being said, it has had its ups and downs and now I'm in a good place and have found a routine that works for me.
- In the first month, it was amazing. It cleared my skin so quickly I thought I was in a dream.
- End of the first month, the flakes started coming. Let me tell you, this was a bit of a nightmare. I kept reading reviews saying that they go away after several weeks and they seemed to be getting worse for me. My skin was so scaly and just covered in tiny tiny flakes that I couldn't get off. I had to moisturize multiple times a day. But I was still clear of acne. Also keep in mind I likely started with too much BP because I have used it before and I know my skin can handle it. So I recommend you follow the directions strictly.
- About 2 months in, I tried the AHA. I'll just be short and sweet and say it's not for me. I used tiny amounts and my face looked and felt like it was going to burn right off. It also had no benefit that I could see. So I just stopped using it.
- Cue cetaphil moisturizer + jojoba oil. One time I was at work and my skin was SO dry and I had no moisturizer on me so I ran to the drugstore next to my work and grabbed cetaphil lotion randomly which I had never tried (why I do these things I don't know). It felt thick and I didn't like it as much as the acne.org moisturizer but it was better than nothing. I put the cetaphil away that night kept using the regimen as it is (with a few drops of jojoba oil in the moisturizer). Then one night I ran out of acne.org moisturizer (and of course because I'm stupid, I didn't order more so I had none coming). My face was still insanely flakey so I said what the hell, let's try this cetaphil again.
- And here we are 5 months later, happy and satisfied. The cetaphil is a bit greasy but you need that thick lotion to combat the drying from the BP. Even if you have oily skin, believe me.... The BP will dry you out. I was very surprised at that. However, with the cetaphil my face is still clear but I only have to moisturize morning and night. No flakes.
- Of course, me, being stupid, I had to try and fix something that works wonderfully. A few days ago, I didn't want to pay shipping on cleanser (I live in Canada) so I thought hey I'll try one of the other cleansers Dan recommends! I tried Olay foaming facial cleanser and pretty much overnight I broke out bad. I ordered the acne.org cleanser right away and once I got back on my I routine, I was clear again. So I will never stray. Acne.org cleanser and BP + cetaphil moisturizer with a drop of jojoba oil is my holy grail regimen. My skin has never looked like this except when I was a little kid. Another trick I use now: on a popped pimple, blister band aids or polysporin ointment instead of letting it scab up. Heals it up SO much quicker and you don't get in the cycle of picking, forming a scab, picking the scab, etc. I never review products but I'm so happy with this and with my recent cleanser fiasco, I finally realized that this is for sure THE product for me. Tl;dr. It works. If you've tried everything and nothing has worked and you're willing to give up OR try anything at this point, just try it.

2-3 Months to clarity
This gel really does work the only things you need are patience & time. I've used benzoyl peroxide a good portion of my life (15-22 years old). Last year I decided to give my skin a break from it since it was soooo clear. I had baby skin and would get compliments every single day for how soft my skin looked & was. About 3 to 4 months after I stopped using benzoyl peroxide my skin FLIPPED out. I had a ton of tiny whiteheads everywhere and then started with gigantic cysts all over. I tried using natural products, sulphur masks, different face washes even retin-A but my face was crazy. I knew deep down that the benzoyl really works so I purchased a tube this October and patiently waited for results. What I noticed: - My skin took about one month to get back into the benzoyl peroxide (as it was no longer used to it)
- I was extremely flaky and my face burned for the first month
- Starting with less product during the first month helps Also wanted to share what products I am using along side the benzoyl peroxide treatment which I use twice a day (morning & night): Makeup remover (BEST EVER): Bioderma Sensitive Skin SENSIBIO H2O
Cleanser (morning): Spectro Gel (Purple one without fragrance)
Cleanser (night): Dior Snow Cleanser White Reveal Gentle Foaming
Cream (day & night): Bioderma Atoderm PP Baume (SUPER MOISTURIZING + hypoallergenic)
Serum for scarring (day & night + this is AMAZING): Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum
Makeup (best for acne prone skin): BareMinerals Original (not the matte one)
I have also been using the Clarisonic day and night as I find it helps with the dryness. I am almost 3 full months in and my skin is great! I still get a few here and there but it is not nearly as bad as it was when the initial freakout happened. Some of these products are expensive BUT the quality of the products are like no other. These products combined with the benzoyl peroxide will bring you clear skin, it really just takes time. Changing your diet and intaking lots of fruits and veggies will also speed up the process. Water Water Water. Good luck :)

The magic
Guys,my acne story began 1,5 year ago.I had been struggling since then,I have literally tried everything and I have spent a fortune on different cremes and beauty salons. And sometimes it seemed that it would never end.I actually was ashamed of myself, the acne gave me so many insecurities which I hadn't has before.
But when I found the regimen,it immediately got better,I started finally living my life to the fullest.I don't have any insecurities any more,my skin is perfectly, yes I mean perfectly clear.I have overcome some difficulties in the firt months of using the regimen.I had allergy(therefore don't use too much in the beginning).I was itching all along and it was devastating, but it was completely worth it.After two months,my skin got completely used to the regimen,so right now I don't even use the moisturizer,it doesn't become dry anymore :)
Good luck using it!And there is always a solution to every problem!
Enormous thanks to the creators of the regimen, pure magic:)
