Pros:

Cleared my acne, got rid of black heads, it evenly dispenses, I like the foam and it makes pores smaller

Cons:

If you do not use moisturizer it will dry your skin out.

I love this product. I would suggest this for people with mild acne who have larger pores and have oily skin. Highly recommend it!

Pros:

Cleared up skin

Cons:

Can't find any!

I had a really hard time with acne, and felt like I had tried everything! From Proactiv to home remedies, I just couldn't seem to find anything that worked. Once I started using Clinique, I saw a difference right away in both my acne, and the overall texture of my skin. While I sometimes still have one or two pimples that pop up once in a while, I just put some of my spot healing gel on it, and the zit is gone within a couple days. I will say, the price is not the most desirable...but once I started seeing results I really didn't care! I could not be happier with this product, I have been recommending it to all my friends and they have all seen results as well. Try it!! You will LOVE your skin!!

Pros:

Dries clearer (just a slight hint of cloudiness) than Oxy Vanishing Cream (Oxy Cream when dried, makes it look like you've been standing under pigeons and seagulls for too long).

Cons:

No change in reducing redness or acne after a week.

I bought this item because I needed an emergency treatment. It said it was clinically proven to reduce redness and acne size within 4 hrs. I used it after cleaning my skin, and 4 hrs later... voila! It did NOTHING! =( It looked the same as before, no less redder, no reduction in pimple size. Disappointed, I tried using it 3 times a day for about a week, and it still hasn't produced results! It also dries out the skin and makes it feel stiff, but that is typical for most acne medicine. Very disappointed.

Pros:

Lessens pimple size
Cheap

Cons:

If you apply too big of an amount, it will dry and look "cakey" on your skin

I've used this product for years. Whenever I have a big breakout, I apply a dollop of it to that pimple (I don't rub it in) before I go to bed, and when I wake up the next morning, the size of the pimple is significantly smaller. i prefer to use the vanishing cream instead of the tinted. I only use the tinted if I'm going out somewhere and want to cover it up. Highly recommend this product for people with pimple problems.

Pros:

Minimizes acne

Cons:

Makes skin dry
Stings so horribly
Does not clear up acne completely
Stops working after a few weeks

I used this for a couple of months and this is total crap. It did minimize my acne, but it never cleared out those small acne dots. The toner (Step 2) made my skin sooo dry and it stung me like a bee.

Pros:

clears acne fast
works on both pimples and blackheads
cheap

Cons:

none =)

I used this as a teenager to help with my body acne; then when I got pregnant and was having major body acne problems I started using it again. It is AMAZING! It totally cleared my back up super fast and I didn't have any of the huge zits I'd been having. I recently ran out and have definitely noticed a difference in my skin. I can't wait until it gets restocked on the shelves! =)

Pros:

IT WORKS :)

Cons:

none

THIS PRODUCT WORKS WHEN USED CORRECTLY WITH NATURAL SOAP THATS COMES WITH EVERY ORDER AT NO ADDTIONAL COST. I have spent 1000's of dollars trying stuff and visiting doctors regarding my skins acne and hyperpigmentation issues. i have had cystic acnes for years and now I DO NOT. i am typing this from my office at work wearing ABSOLUTELY NO MAKEUP. dont miss understand i think ALL women should wear makeup and keep the world beautiful but today i didnt have time and BAM i still think im cute makeup free and all... I also use and recommend the "nighttime acne moisturizer" "mineral makeup for acne prone skin" and the "daytime acne moisturizer". one of the longest and hardest lessons i did learn about my skin is that i have to keep it moisturized and protected no matter how oily i get or think i am. if i dont have moisturizer on, than my skin produces more oil automatically causing more breakouts. so the moisturizers in addition to the "KICK A**" & soap are now a part of my daily routine and i would absolutley die if i could not get my hands on this product in the furture. Change your pillow cases every other day, BUY THIS PRDUCT, USE IT FOR NO LESS THAN 90 DAYS with MOISTURIZERS, and you must FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY. if so, you will be HAPPY AND THINKING YOUR CUTE LIKE ME :))), I PROMISE... -V

Pros:

works great
has several different types (normal, sensitive, sport and sever)
cheap compared to other products like proactive, and murad where you have to pay shiping etc
Face wash last a long while if you use the right amount.

Cons:

can get pricey if you buy all the other stuff they offer (scar eraser, spot treatment etc)
can dry out skin if not careful.
wish the tonner bottle was bigger

I got this about 3 weeks ago (The sever version) and it has worked great on my oily skin. I've tried proactive, several different doctor prescirbed treatments even birthcontrol to handel my skin but so far this had dont the best for my face. The tonner doesn't agrivate my skin and the lotion is light so i don't get all shiney after putting it on. I work in fast food so my forhead breaks out from having to wear my hat to work. Within a week of using this my forhead is pretty much clean as well as my chin. I still get a few zits here and there but I can deal with that (I never planned on it giving me super model skin or anything) The sever kit works great highly recommended to anyone with oily skin with stuborn acne :3 word of caution: IF you get the added products that aren't sold in the kit do one in the morning and one at night or every other night (ex: spot treatment at night and the scar eraser in the morning) as not to dry out your skin! (i have oily skin so i mean this!!!! if you don't have oily skin and you don't do thid you will fry your skin!)

Pros:

surface treatment, can be applied at night, very good at drying and healing. More preventive than curative. Effect stops if you stop using it. Low cost. I have suffered from Acne for 45 years, except for time in a desert climate, when I had no occurrence and used no medication. Panoxyl seems to work the same as the drying effect of suntan, but without cancer risk.

Cons:

bleaches your pillow (tell your mum that should be the least of her worries since you feel so miserable with the acne). Wash hands after applying so you do not bleach clothes or get in your eye. Can make skin a bit red - but what's better: reddish skin or acne? If it dries white on your skin you are using too much (though I suggest using only at night). No scarring for me, but do not apply too fiercely - once a day.

45 years acne: I have had 2 courses of Accutane, and was on antibiotics for years: both quietened it down, but still need Panoxyl. Now using nothing except Panoxyl gel; have used it and a predecessor Benoxyl for 40 years. For new users, suggest apply on Friday night at least two weeks before the big party. See how you are Saturday. Apply again Saturday night, and see how you are Sunday. Maybe skip Sunday night if your skin gets red. Maybe apply moisturiser (though I never do).

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
