Improved my acne-prone skin tremendously. My face is less oily. Worked really well if you follow the directions. Best customer service. Life-changing.

Cons:

None

I recommended this to my sister, my husband and my friends. They were all satisfied with the results and were all hooked to Carley's clear and smooth products.

Pros:

You can IMMEDIATELY feel a difference of the feel of your skin. My acne cleared up soo incredibly fast, and my skin feels amazing! I have not used this for very long, but so far I am starting to slightly see my pores shrinking, I can DEFINITELY feel my skin is tighter, smoother, and softer. This stuff is amazing! I am a gullible person and will try anything out once, but I will quickly drop it if it does not deliver. This product DELIVERS!!

Cons:

None!! Absolutely nothing. I am astounded with the results I see and will never go back to store bought acne products nor will I ever buy bare minerals again. Carley's products are the best of the best

I placed my second order and this time did the buy 3, get one free deal. Not only did it only take 3 days to ship the items to me, BUT! Get This! I asked for a sample of a face mask (received the biggest sample size I have ever seen), BUT I also received 4 extra samples of more of Carley's products. This is unbelievable service, I am telling everyone I know about this stuff. This is one company that I hope will last forever! They have made a lifetime customer out of me. No I am not being paid for this and I am not signing up for the affiliate program to earn while sending customers to Carley's because I want them to make that money to ensure they will stay in business. The more people that find out about this company, the better. The better for the company and the better for people out there suffering from acne, and other skin related issues. You are my savior!

i have severe acne and very serious. Been in a lot of product but finally stopped with this product. At first, I was scared as there is some rashes appear after I start using. But soon it cleared. I have been using 3 month and acne coming in and out. Nowadays the acne still appear but not severe. It is much lesser than previous years. My skin look more better. There was some time I had stopped a few days and my acne breakout. It look ugly and cause me weeks to recover. So I need to be very hardworking using it. I am reordering a new batch as it going to finish very soon. But I believe in this product. It make the skin better if you use them everyday.

Pros:

saw results after 3 days
sold in walgreens or Ulta!
love the retinol cream but can't be used every night-too drying

Cons:

still have breakouts but much less
very drying
cleanser doesn't completly remove dry dead skin
red spots from where acne use to be-will go away after a few days

I've been useing Acnefree Severe for a little over two weeks now. This product works very well. I was useing Clean and Clear Advanced and was not happy with it. In a matter of three days I was able to see my acne going away. It does dry out your skin and can make it itchy and red. You must use a moisturizer after. I stoped useing the retinol cream because it was makeing my skin too sensitve. That stuff is amazing! Like all acne medications, you have to give it 6-8 weeks to see if the product will work for your skin. Not all products will work for everyone. AcneFree may give you a big breakout because it is pulling all the bacteria from your pores and bringing it to the surface. Do not give up after a week because you are breaking out and have dry skin. You can also start off useing the creams everyother day to get your skin use to the product. Use moisturizer and continue to use the product for about a month before you get rid of it. They also have a money back guarentee!

Pros:

After a month it almost completely cleared my acne, inexpensive, easy to use... but...(go on to cons)

Cons:

After a few months it decreased in how well it worked and eventually stopped working, must remember to take pills twice a day, BP treatment is drying to face

Nature's Cure started out iffy for me but after I used it for a month it worked really well. The BP treatment was drying though so I'd use Aveeno Daily Moisturizer on my face as well after application. So I continued using it. However, later it gradually worked less and less until now, eight months later, it doesn't work at all and I'm starting to see much more acne on my face. So, bottom line? Nature's Cure eventually works, and it works well. But, like many acne treatments, your skin becomes more 'immune' to it and the treatment ceases to work.

Pros:

Great cleansing and skin clearing. Natural ingredients (no animal lard or other weird chemicals that are in basically every skin product on the market - yuck!). Free soap & samples, quick shipment.

Cons:

As others mentioned, bleaching will occur on washcloths. But this is true for any BP product. Also a bit time consuming, but worth it.

I struggled for years and years with severe, cystic acne and have tried just about every product on the market. Have followed regimens from online blogs, visited dermatologists, taken powerful and potentially harmful antibiotics, even followed a hardcore, vegan/raw food/juice fasting/garlic chewing/olive oil drinking diet (I was determined to beat this acne!) but NOTHING WORKED. I tried this product and it was completely effective. I think maybe the people who say it made their skin worse did not have bad acne in the first place. This is a BP product and BP is not for everyone, but for those who, like me, have tried everything to no avail and truly believe there is no topical product that will have any effect whatsoever, I would suggest giving this a shot.

Pros:

Goes on smoothly. Didn't cause any cystic acne or pimples to appear. Doesn't ball up, doesn't show up white when you sweat

Cons:

I had noticeable redness and extreme peeling even after 1.5 months of using this, and I still had tons of raised bumps all over my cheeks and jaw. And it was quite inconvenient, the fact it dyes pillowcases and I couldn't wash my face during the day. Plus all of the time that that regimen took every day just wasn't worth it, with this item.

I initially started doing the regimen with Neutrogena On-the-Spot 2.5% BP, and had amazing results - I was clear (that means also no redness and no peeling) after a week and stayed that way for the entire duration. After a while, though, I switched to the acne.org BP because NOTS is so expensive (argh!) and balls up and shows up when I sweat. I had incredibly high hopes for the acne.org BP, but unfortunately, it disappointed me. My acne stayed pretty much the same the entire time I was on it, but I had horrible redness and peeling that no moisturizer could fix. It was so disappointing because with NOTS, I was clear within a week, and I expected acne.org to be at *least* as good as it, if not better. After about a month and a half I took a break of about a week or two and then tried the regimen again with acne.org BP, only this time I had a severe allergic reaction. Stupidly, I decided to give the regimen 2 more times within the next month or so (after I managed to get the rash to disappear with a special cream), and both yielded the same results. It is extremely unfortunate that I must leave my acne.org BP bottle more than half full to rot in my cabinet, but it just isn't working for me anymore. :( However, I think that maybe this is just some problem my skin has with the acne.org BP - I've seen many people use it successfully, and I truly believe that it can work really well, just... not on my skin. Since benzoyl peroxide *has* worked extremely well for me, I just think there's something else in the acne.org BP that isn't working well for my skin. In other words, definitely consider using this but do be aware that it may cause a reaction such as the one I described.

Pros:

-Smooth and easy to apply
-Clears up acne fast!

Cons:

-Drying
-Can cause serious flakes if you don't use a good moisturizer

This is the best Benzoyl Peroxide on the market, period. I started Dan's regimen a few months ago and my skin has never looked better. This BP is drying (they all are) but with a good moisturizer (I use Dan's) and a lot of jojoba oil the dryness is easy to control. I honestly think this is the best acne medication available. As long as you use this and moisturize religiously you will see an big improvement in your skin-- trust me, I've tried everything, and this has by far given me the best results.

Pros:

Ok I had tried everything from Proactive to Murad to the cheap over the counter stuff, to prescription creams for acne-none of it worked to clear acne up permanantly and for good. I tried Carley's Clear and Smooth and let me tell you that name is so true, I have never had more clear, vibrant skin in my lilfe-this stuff truly works and is amazing on the skin with 100% all natural ingredients. I have given it to family and friends with nothing but success in clearing there's up too.

Cons:

None!!! This product is the best product you could use on your skin for acne and for other skin conditions. It treats pretty much anything!

This stuff works 100%. Believe me, I have even bought it for girlfriends and family members and they have been incredibly impressed. Bottom line is let me just say even if you dont have acne it makes your skin so smooth and clear and keeps it looking younger, but if you do have acne and follow this product properly, you might as well count it gone because everyone I have seen try this has been acne free afterwards!! Use it as the directions say and it will work. If your acne is really severe it may take a bit to kick in and for you to start noticing but it will trust me, just be patient and you will be impressed. You owe it to yourself if you want clean and clear skin. You will get noticed and people will ask you what you are using!!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
