Pros:

nothing. nada. zip. worst thing i was ever coerced into. two months later and i still regret ever trying this product.

Cons:

everything about this product is a con except the fact that i can get my money back from those liars and scam artists at carleys

terrible. i used to have mild to moderate acne that was annoying but actually manageable. i wish i had those days back. carleys gave me SEVERE acne and im not lying. i was so depressed and im still so sad about what it did to my skin. it changed the type of acne i had, i would get it in places i never did before. i used it consistently for months (like 4 to 5) and emailed the guy and he told me to stick with it. i just couldnt stand to see my acne get much worse, i had huge cysts on my cheeks, chin and forehead. i felt so gross and unattractive. i even got cystic acne in places i never had any problems with before, namely my jawline and even my neck! so dont fall for all the fake reviews like i did, if you really read them youll notice that they all sound the same. also, a product that ONLY either has 5 stars or next to none...thats a little sketchy. every product has reviews in the middle...it just seems like theyre only trying to sell you the junk. so PLEASE dont make the same mistake i did, you will regret it later when you have to go back to the dermatologist or dans regimen!

Pros:

Clears Face quickly.
Feels clean.

Cons:

Smells funny.
Small amount for money.
Stains stuff.

This is a great product. I've been using it for a little over a month. My skin isn't ALL the way clear but mostly. And the one or two that are left are small and hardly seeable. They come back in different places but go away in about two days. Makes my skin soft and fresh felling. Defiantly recommend it. Anyway, everything has it's pros and cons. Nothing is 100 percent perfect and probably never will be.

Pros:

If you like clogging your pores and having horrible painful acne you should buy this. If you want normal clear skin stay away!!

Cons:

It gave me cystic acne and white heads something i never had before. I went from having mild acne to my face being really red and covered in these deep red acne marks. I can't believe i got scammed into buying this product.

I read all the positve reviews and thought this would be a miracle cure. I can't believe people can sell/use this product it's the worst ever. Completely dried out my skin, gave me cystic acne, and not my face is all red. Do not buy this!!! From reading around it turns out these guys are making up fake stories. I wish i figured that out before being tricked into buying this. I mean they tell you to rub a shea butter soap on your face...shea butter is horrible for acne...I can't believe these people have the nerve to write fake reviews and completely take advantage of us real acne sufferers. Do not buy!!!

Pros:

EVERYTHING!

Cons:

-a little drying to skin at beginnning

-have to wear sunscreen on your face when tanning outside for an extended amount of time

I LOVE Proactiv Solution! I've tried every product possible and nothing worked as well as Proactiv did. I was a little nervous at first because it was very drying to my skin and didn't work right off as I anticipated. But i kept using it and within 2-3 weeks I had no acne whatsoever! The Refining Mask is awesome! When you have a blemish, just a dab before bed and within 1-3 days, it's gone! No other product has worked so quickly! It is a little on the expensive side, I ordered my first system through Proactiv itself for $19.95, but when it was time to re-order (and you don't get it for $19.95), I found it ALOT cheaper on [link removed]! I hope this review helps you make the decision to use this product!

Pros:

nothing worth mentioning

Cons:

-Caused worse acne than I've ever had around my mouth
-Made me break out in places I have never broken out in before

This product had so much hype I thought I'd give it a try. From all the positive reviews I thought that I may have found an answer to all my acne problems. This was not at all the case. For the first while when I was using it I saw no change at all, but the website said it may take weeks to notice any change. Then after using it for about a month things started to get bad. The acne around my mouth, which was never that severe to start with, got really bad, red and sore. I also started breaking out on my cheeks and I have never had acne there before. I followed the steps just as suggested and used it fluently and consistantly for over one month. I am beyond upset because now I'm left worse than how I started and I have to start from square one again.

Pros:

Dries pimples and bumps up quickly
Clears them away

Cons:

Looses effectiveness over time
Only eliminates pimples where applied
Dries skin up

Do not use if you need a long term solution and don't expect it to clear your face up. On the other hand, it can be used to eliminate scattered pimples but it will loose effectiveness.

Pros:

It does work!!!!!

Cons:

You must use as directed!!!!

Acne start from under the skin. So using this product on your face helps for a little on the outside of the skin. But what about the inside of the skin. Sooner of later you well have to use a antibiotics. Ance is an infection of the skin. So that's why this product only work for a little.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
