Pros:

-clears all types off spots
-completely clear skin

Cons:

-dry skin

It only took about 2-3 weeks to see a radical change. But to be honest it started to work on day 1! When using it your skin does dry but I promise you that you can peel it off (only when ready). You can also apply the gel before you go to bed and then gently exfoliate in the morning (your skin will be softer if you use a topical cream afterwards on slightly moist skin). I have really sensitive skin and used panoxyl 10%. On the first application your face will feel tingly and you will feel a slight twinge and stinging sensation. In a nutshell this cream has changed my life! Deffinately try it if you need a confidence boost!

Pros:

Good I can already see a difference, and I have only been using it in the mornings. I Might try before bed as well.

Cons:

Skin does get dry but I moisturise everyday anyway, and I do have sensitive skin but this has not affected my skin at all i.e. no burns. i;m still getting big spots but I think that's to do with the headbands I wear.

I rated it 4 because the effects are slow so far.

I am black and I was wondering if other users who are the same skin colour have different effects. I know skin colour can change things and the reviews seem to be mostly from white people (please correct if i'm wrong).

Pros:

cleared blackheads within a few days, great for overnight relief of sore pimples, not expensive whatsoever, easy access to product from retailers in america

Cons:

excessive drying of skin

my mother had used oxy-10 for over twenty years, and she never once had any sort of acne. remembering this just recently, i ran to wal-mart and bought some. this product literally saved my skin. i suffered from severe blackheads (we're talking about hundreds on my nose) and after using this for less than a week they were completely gone. however, my skin did get excessively dried out, but after applying my moisturizer the problem was solved. i'm going to forever use this product as long as it works because this has been the ONLY thing to completely remove my blackheads. salycic acid never came close to doing the job that oxy-10 did.

Pros:

Significantly reduced the appearance of acne
Easy to use
Polite customer service reps

Cons:

It dried out my skin at first, then I learned I was using too much cleanser.

You know, I read many reviews online before I decided to order this product. Many of them were negative but I decided that $30 to try something wouldn't hurt. I have to say this is the best acne product I've ever come across. It did dry out my skin at first, but I called customer service and found out that I was using way too much of the cleanser. Other reviews I've read bash the company altogether. The company isn't doing anything illegal. You're entered into a replenishment program - it clearly states that. On the commercials (worded "with auto home delivery") and is on their web site and it's even in their catalogs. It's not their fault that no one bothers to read. It also cancel at any time. Why is everyone up in arms about the auto home delivery? You're made aware of it by purchasing the initial product and it IS on your invoice that comes with your initial intro kit. Another thing that disappoints me about some of the reviews is the fact that no one seems to know math. Yes, the basic 90 day supply seems expensive - I had a heart attack at first, too. But after crunching some numbers and talking to customer service, I'm still only paying the amount that I paid for a 30 day supply each month. Of course, the more product you add, the higher the total kit price. To sum it up, the product is great. If it doesn't work out - you can send it back for a refund within 60 days (for those who don't know how to read, it's minus shipping and handling). Stop writing hateful reviews for a product because you're too ignorant to read the fine print and everything else pertaining to the product.

Pros:

good acne preventive
gel is smooth and applies nicely

Cons:

drying, but use moisturizer

For BP, I think this is the best formula I have tried. I am 38 and still dealing with skin issues..my skin is extremely sensitive and I have mild rosasea. Using this product nightly, applying as indicated by the directions, keeps my acne very manageable. I use only at night, since I use the rosacea cream in the AM. If I stray from using it, I do pay for it with little breakouts. For spot treatments, I dab Proactiv acne drying mask on them, and that does well for me. For mosturizer, I am currently using Cerave--in the the PM and the AM.

Pros:

Once you try it, you gain the knowledge to tell others how horrible this product and company are.

Cons:

Cleanser- dried out skin,
Toner- made skin SUPER shiny,
Lotion -smells so bad my husband wont kiss me when I use it.
Acne NEVER got better. TOOOO MUCH $$$$$

Don't even give it another thought! Do not buy this product. It's not healthy for your skin "even though they say it's ok." Even their new "gentle" formula is a Horrible on skin. I used it twice each time for about 3 months. I just stopped using it again last week, and added up my wasted money...3 stupid shipments = $107.71 The products smell bad, stains EVERYTHING , tares up your hands and face, and your skin goes pale from all the harsh products, and don't fall for their mask, it too smells so bad, and it works no better than a dab of toothpaste. just 200% more expensive. Good luck trying to cancel this product, it's confusing and takes months to complete...DO NOT PAY WITH A CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD!!! They don't seem to know when to stop charging it.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
