Pros:

well...i guess it kinda worked, but onlt slightly.

Cons:

umm...well, it dryed out terribly, and made the skin kinda swell, i think it also caused a slight skin discoloration on my cheek, and very ichy. i couldn't wear it out side because the cream just wouldn't absorb and formed a chalky white layer.

well, maybe i could have used a bit longer, but, this is the worst reaction to any mediacation my body or just face had... If this doesn't improve..i'll porbably go back to salicylic acid.

Pros:

At first it seemed to work.

Cons:

Dried my skin up and made it very itchy. After I stopped using it my skin got much much worse. Also the company will charge your credit card w/o notice and send you more product even if you only signed up for the trial package!!!!

If I knew then what I know now I would never have used this product! It will make your skin break out more once you stop using it.

Pros:

Cons:

Pros:

This product works well. One bottle has lasted me about 8 months, using it once a day. I am 30 and had resigned myself to a life with acne as I realized that I had tried nearly everything on the market over the last 15 years.

Cons:

Just becareful not to start out using it twice a day. It's better to use it once and work yourself up to twice if necessary. The white soap it came with is very gentle and compliments the coarser exfoliant well.

Try this product. It is great.

Pros:

works pretty good

Cons:

smells bad, can over dry at times, shipping is ablsolutely rediculous, too expensive

i use proactiv and it werks. however it has some flaws in a few areas. shipping policy-REDICULOUS. i called the company up because i was running out within 8 weeks of getting it. i wasn't getting it until ten weeks because altho they ship in 8 weeks it takes 2 to get here. anyway, they suggested i move my shipping date back 2 weeks. so i asked them what that would do to the billing arrangement. they said in oder for me to receive it in 8 weeks i would have to move it back to every 6 weeks shipping and send the payment every four weeks to ensure that it would be shipped on time. BOTTOM LINE: the product i am already paying $60.00 every 6 weeks for just became $60.00 once a month. it is rediculous, they certainly aren't sayin that on their info mercials. i pay enough for this sh*t as it is. so now i guess i'll have to put up with the break out again every 6 weeks. as well i now think my skin is reliant on it. i break out without using it almost immediately. must be good for the skin:/

Pros:

Gets rid of acne, works as well as they say, feels like its working

Cons:

Takes a long time (months) and if you forget one day, acne comes on full speed

This product is absolutely amazing. I've been using it for about 3 months now, which is the reccomended time, and I don't get anymore pimples. None. I use to get some little ones, but my skin has never felt clearer or looked as clear. You HAVE to try it more than a day. Nothing will help you in less an a day. There are no side affects to it. Trust me, I never realized how bad my acne was until I realized I had clear skin. Its an amazing feeling and all you have to do is take two pills twice a day. Try it! Its better than any topical treatment you'll find out there.

Pros:

I've used this almost every day, twice a day, for around 4 years. I had mild acne beforehand, and it did seem to help. My skin felt smoother, and it cleared up all my whiteheads, even though I still have around 2 slight breakouts a month.

Cons:

Didn't get rid of the blackheads. The 3rd step always lasts way longer than the 1st and 2nd step, and the 3rd expires earlier.

A very good product to try. Try it for around a month, see how it works on your skin. I'd say if it doesn't get any better within a month, don't bother using it anymore. (If you're a girl and you seem to have breakouts before/after/during your periods, monitor how well proactive effects you at different times during the month, if at all!) This product is VERY, VERY good if you want to simply get into a routine every day that will at least slightly help your skin. I helped me to get into a routine that helped my skin a lot.

I started using 6% Triaz cleanser two weeks ago. My face is clearing some but I'm experiencing an itchy rash. Can anyone relate?

Pros:

it smelled really nice

Cons:

didnt work ive been using it for years and basicly just wasting my money but every time i seen a comercial it made me want to keep using it for some reason like maby one day it will work. i also had trouble with the bil like 2 charges for 1 f ing kit

jessica simpson is full of crap if you ask me! her skin wasnt that bad to begin with and im sure she has a great derm. but it did get her recognized a lot before her reality show!

I gave this a try the other day and had to give it a three in how well it works as I did not have enough time to find out. The pills made me feel as though I needed to vomit from the first one I took but I still took the 2nd at night like I was supposed too. I ended up waking up in the middle of the night with heart palpitations and low blood sugar which made me feel once again as though I had to vomit and also causing me feel extremely cold and shaky. I had to eat something to bring my sugar back up the proper level. I do not have diabetes or any health problems so this came as a surprise to me. Just thought that I should let others know that it can cause such a reaction in a healthy person. Needless so say, I got my money back and will be searching for another way to help my acne problem.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
