Pros:

its not too oily

Cons:

wow. i dont know why, but this really stung my face and made is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO itchy.

im actually using the whole acne.org product system. the cleanser, treatment, and mostrizer. well, after the treatment, and then put the mostirizer, my skin got SOOOOOOO itchy. i couldnt sleep for 5 hours at night. and it stung too. but most importantly, my skin felt not too oily, but good. but it was SOO FREAKIN itchy. so.. i guess ill have to use it more than a week. i say give it a try?

Pros:

Shrinks my pores, leaves my skin feeling smooth, makes my acne manageable for the first time in years.

Cons:

Dry skin! Use the repairing lotion sparingly! I was slathering it on at first and had very dry skin.

Love it! I recommend it all the time.

Pros:

it keeps my acne free.no odor. goes on pretty good.

Cons:

expensive, takes along time to get rid of my pimples i get every so often. when i sweat i can feel it running down my face.

good at killing bacteria. takes forever to eliminate pimples, i use this every so often, but if i do have that little pimple, i just use byebye blemish b.c it works quick!

Pros:

This product is amazing and definately worth the money, once you get the right amounts to use on your skin of each product they should last equally as long. i have been on isotetranoin for 7yrs and its has never given as good a result as this!!

Cons:

slightly pricey and it has to be used regularly 1 or 2 times a day otherwise acne will come back quickly

definately buy this, no nasty sideaffects and skin is smooth and healthy looking, people have complained that skin gets oily again quickly but hello thats probably the reason you have acne!! a complete must have and i would recommend trying this before using horrid drugs like roaccutane or benzoyl perroxide.

Pros:

Works well. Leaves your skin smooth and refreshed and it smells good.

Cons:

To expensive.

Well I am 15 and I guess I dont have what you would call acne but I get some random pimples on my face so I thought I would give it a try. It works great, keep in mind I have not been using it that long. The only bad thing is it is true if you have sensitive skin, which I dont at all, you shouldnt use it! Well I hope it works for you!

Pros:

it works really good, and it feels good on the skin.

Cons:

the refining mask makes your face smell. i worn it and then went out side for some sports and it gave me sunburn and small blisters.

it works great, but be careful to read all the instructions and warnings.

Pros:

I use panoxyl acnegel 2.5 for a month now. So far it works wonders on my skin. It clears up my whitehead and blackhead. Apply before bed and wake up with smooth skin.

Cons:

Make skin so itchy. Need to apply rosehip oil and moisturizer again and again throughout the day.

Great product to replace neotregena bp 2.5 as i couldn't find it anywhere at local drugstore.

Pros:

really makes my face feel clean, noticeable reduction in acne

Cons:

can be drying, cleanser seems to run out faster than everything else, i've found the bottle to leak when i travel

this stuff is nice. i used Proactiv and AcneFree prior to this stuff and my face was so dry and red and it burned so easily because of the benzoyl peroxide, even with a good SPF sunscreen. the Clinique foaming cleanser contains salicylic acid so imo it's more gentle. it's foaming, which i like, and it really makes your face feel clean! i've noticed a difference since i started using it [along with the Acne Solutions toner] so i'm very pleased. it *can* get pricey after awhile ($17.50 every so often can really add up!) and it makes my face pretty dry in the winter time but other than that i'm pleased :)

Pros:

Dries clear, great spot treatment, works as effectively as 10% BP without harsh drying effect.

Cons:

Bleaches fabric like all BP products and I do not like the packaging of this product

I love this product because it goes on clear and nobody can see you have anything on your face. I do not use makeup or moisturizer, and do not have very bad acne but I do get the occasional pimple and have very sensitive skin. This product is invisible and i use it as spot treatment day and night. There was a visible reduction in pustule redness and size after one night of use! Does not dry out skin if used on trouble spots. The only thing I do not like is the packaging. I bought the travel size bottle which may have different packaging than the big bottles but I find the medicine hard to dispense and the bottle is hard to squeeze. However, I don't really care because the product is awesome.

Pros:

The acne scrub works! Follow the instructions on the bottle, if you do what it says you will get results.

Cons:

I didn't care for the anti-aging cream for acne prone skin.It is expensive, and you only get a tiny jar. I much prefer the day time cream. It goes on smooth, and is perfect to wear under your makeup.

This stuff is great!!!! The acne treatment works, just follow the instructions. The natural soap is wonderful, my entire family is hooked. The day cream and night cream are both great, they are light, leave no greese behind and won't casue your skin to break out.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
