Pros:

it was average

Cons:

proactive did not give me a refund. When I called them after a month of returning it, they say they have not received it. Also, the company did not send me the free mask they offered after I sent them pics of my acne and the form too.

The company is dishonest. They pretend they have too many callers and say they would phone u back within 24hrs. I did not get a phone call back and I'm sure I didn't miss it because I was home.

Pros:

Natural and good for the skin!

Cons:

None at all, except that one cannot purchase in stores.

I absolutely love the natural soap, moisturizers, exfoliant, mineral makeup & chap stick. I tried the soap and BP solution about a year ago and I had no luck. I have since been on a search for a miracle cure. One day I found the sample moisurizer that came with my order and used it when I ran out of my usual. It was glorious, it moisturized but didn't leave my very oily skin greasy as most moisturizers tend to do. I ran out of the sample and ordered a full bottle online and it came with the soap. I tried the soap without the BP solution this time and it has done wonders for me. Granted, I've changed my diet to no sugar, flour, packaged/process foods and mainly eat raw veggies. But I know this soap really helps, b/c I left it behind in a hotel a few weeks ago and had to wait 2 weeks to get my order thru the mail and I had a breakout during that time. I highly recommend all the products except the BP solution which just didn't work for me. But it might w

Pros:

works good

Cons:

irritating if too much is used

I bought this so i can follow Dan's regimen.. two days after using it my skin is burned, itchy and EXTREMELY dry, no matter how much lotion i use.. i also continued to break out after using it but i guess that usually happens upon using a new product.. my skin is clearing but the burn is not going away.. im going to stop using it for a week and see what happens. if you have sensitive skin DO NOT use as much Dan used im going to be using way less from now on hopefully it will still work

Pros:

Works GREAT! At least for my skin. You can see a change in "young" pimples the day after you apply it. Portable in its small tube. Has virtually no smell. Worth the money. Didn't sting or irritate my skin unlike other acne spot medications that do.

Cons:

Too small, wish they made a bigger tube. Since it is benzoyle peroxide, you MUST follow directions and GRADUALLY use it on your face. As in once a day in the beginning, and then slowly moving it to two or three times a day.

Works great. I think it's the best acne spot treatment out there so far.

Pros:

none

Cons:

it clogged my pores. it's al chalky feeling didn't help and it's very harsh.

it bleached everything this bp sucks compared to the neutrogena one. the texture was pretty gross and it didn't help my acne.

Pros:

It works for about a couple weeks.

Cons:

It stops working and the toner burns.

This isn't worth it. The toner burned my skin and only worked on my face for a week or so. If you are in your teen years and looking for a good acne product, don't use this. It doesn't help.

Pros:

I have pretty bad acne. I have heaps on my cheeks and within the week of applying, it helped dramatically. My acne is heaps less noticeable. Im really happy.

Cons:

Feels a bit yuck on your skin. Doesnt work for everyone.

Doesnt remove all pimples. But reduces them.

Pros:

It cleared up my skin a bit

Cons:

My face looked more clear, but felt scaly and the burning and itching were horrible! I could hardly blink my eyes hurt so badly.

Don't buy unless you can handle the pain...even though it was clearing up the acne...my face felt scaly and that is not worth it.

Pros:

Cons:

Pros:

I love this product. My skin was usually very oily and looked dirty all of the time. My chin had pimples everywhere and dark marks from where pimples used to be. Two weeks of using this product, my skin was no longer oily and the dark marks faded awa

Cons:

In the beginning your skin is very dry and peeling. After 2 weeks, your skin get used to the product and the peeling stops. Most people stop using the product because of the peeling, but if you stick with it, you will notice a big change. Trust me!

Buy it and stick with it. IT REALLY WORKS!!!!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
