Pros:

This stuff really works...I too tried evrything under the sun including detox, etc. And nothing really worked but carleys is truly a God-send.My skin looks amazing and if I do get a pimple it goes away quickly.

Cons:

None really but you must follow directions and change your washrag frequently. Oh yeah and don't use any other products on your skin because it makes carleys less effective.

I would never stop using this product. I introduced this product to everyone I know with troubled skin and they love it just the same. Thank you carley. We'll nevr stop using your products.

Pros:

Cleared most of my acne leaving me with an occassional breakout.

Cons:

Very drying...harsh on your skin.

Ive used the product for 5 years and I loved it. I used it once at night everyday. It took a while for it to really start working but when it did I thought I would be using this product forever. Of course Id break out here and there once in a while...but for the most part my skin was great. Although it was great I do not recommend using it all the time. About 2 yrs ago my skin began to peel. It was horrible and lotion didnt seem to help much. Within this past year I developed eczema on my face so I had to stop using the product and within a week my face started breaking out like never before. It is very very harsh on your skin but it did work for me before I developed eczema. Now, I dont know if there is a link but If you do use the it then use it once in a while because you could develop an allergy from consistantly using any product for a long period of time.

Pros:

it stops pimples frm coming bk.

Cons:

dried my skin out till it was sore and strted peeling

its a good product just follow the instructions
July 9, 2009

Pros:

- It's full of power packed advertisements about its benefits

Cons:

- It strips off natural oil from the face, leaving it bleached.
- It does not work
- Causes more break-outs after second try

I refunded my products. It did nothing to cure my acne. It actually made it worse than before.

Pros:

bacteria cause acne, pus from a pimple is dead bacteria and white blood cells. washing helps remove oil and dirt, but you must also fight bacteria. benzoyl peroxide does that for you, while the toner removes oil from your face. no allergic rxn for

Cons:

must use everyday for it to be effective. i found that the cleanser lasted longer than the toner and repair lotion. maybe next time will buy the cleanser separately.

good product, shouldn't be any different than proactive since they contain the same active ingredient, might be slightly stronger

Pros:

none.

Cons:

The cleanser made my face worse and sometimes it was too abrasive to use in the morning. I tried to give this product a chance for a little over 6 months and was truly disappointed. The cleanser, toner, and lotion CONTAINS PARABEN.

PROACTIV CONTAINS PARABEN - A cheap unregulated preservative that acts like estrogen and can throw your hormones off balance and some estrogens are known to drive the growth of tumors. Paraben has also been found inside breast tumors and can stimulate breast cancer.

Pros:

It really works!!!

Cons:

None

For years I've had trouble with occasional breakouts but never had really bad acne...but it was enough to make me self-conscious about my appearance. I didn't find this product until I was 30 years old and wish I would've had it years ago! Within a week I started seeing a difference in my skin. While I may still get an occasional pimple, it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be and it goes away quickly. I hope Carley's is around forever because I never want to be without it! This stuff is that good!!!
July 7, 2009

Pros:

It seemed to work a little for the first two weeks of using it

Cons:

Irritates skin and makes it flaky, smells bad, expensive, make acne worst--more acne appear--, not available at store,

Don't waste your money over this product...Its all bullsh*t...The advertisement and testimony make the product seems to be the number 1 acne treatment...However, it only make the acne far worst and bleach your skin....I don't know if this will have any side effect in the long run...but good luck to those who like this product...

Pros:

Quality of ingredients, works great - follow the directions, no need to buy other stuff, gentle but effective, quick shipping !!

Cons:

Just be careful if you wipe your face with colored towels - it can take the color out - we love it so much we just use white or cream towels, it's worth it !!

I've tried pretty much everything in their line - I love them all - I trust that the ingredients are all from high quality sources and that i'm not putting unknown disgusting crap on my face/body like in regular store products !!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
