Pros:

my acne is almost completely gone

Cons:

dries your face out, stings a little

I read alot of people complain that it stings alot. If you really want your acne to go away you have to just bear with it, because its basically just frying your acne away. Just suck it up lol.. I only put the moisturizer on my pimples not on my whole face, so my whole face isn't dry. Then I use my normal face cream on the other areas. I have been using this morning and night for about a month. My pimples are not there just red spots. Every day the redness goes away little by little. I can only say for myself but this product really works for me. I have use clinique and that is also very good but this is so much cheaper and I have had the same results. I am so happy I bought this.

Pros:

Just an excellent product. Going on just my third day of using the soap and acne treatment and my face is already brand new again.

Cons:

Can't think of any.

If you want clear skin that looks and feels good, this is the way to go. Hands down better than the millions of products I've purchased from stores and infomercials.

Pros:

Dry pimple very fast especially those that are newly formed.

Cons:

no so effective on small inflammed whiteheads. It took like more than a week to dry it up. Leave dark spot on the skin but will heal when time goes by.

Only use it if tea trea oil or other not so harsh acne treatments doesn't work on you.

I had bad acne for maybe six years, and even after it started to clear up some, my skin still looked raw and shiny. Once I started using this acne wash, I was able to end the other treatments I was using. Since I've been using the acne wash -- maybe three years now -- my skin has improved so much that I consistently get enthusiastic compliments from strangers (and friends :-) ) on how beautiful my skin is. Thank you!

Pros:

?? Have not experienced any, and have now switched to a different system to see if things change

Cons:

See below

This didnt seem too bad the first few days, but nothing got any better either. The things I experienced were 1) extreme dryness of skin 2) VERY tedious to apply, takes a long time to soak in, and makes it almost impossible for a moisturizer to soak in on top 3) moisturizer (almost any moisturizer) would burn when applied over the BP 4) no clearing of skin, didnt really make it any worse either other than the drying, flaking, peeling, and redness 5) because of the drying, it was also impossible to wear any makeup without looking like an alligator 6)even after 3 months, nothing changed. I was religious - gentle 10 second wash, pat dry, 2 pumps treatment, moisturize twice a day. 7) upon quitting and switching to a less harsh treatment, at the very least my skin is no longer flaky, dry, and irritated. My acne is still not gone, but better than it was on Acne.org regimen. If you are interested, I have switched to Carley's clear and smooth, which seems to be working ok, but not completely clearing me yet. At lease it doesnt take long and isnt hurting my skin more.

Pros:

Cleared up my acne in 1 month!!

Cons:

Every once and a while my face got really dry and it stung to put it on. It takes a while to do all 3 items. VERY EXPENSIVE. Small bottles.

It is a really good product! Works pretty fast. You get what you pay for!! The refining mask is great. If you have a big pimple you put a bit of it on and in the morning it is twice as small!

Pros:

When I started sing it, within two days my acne began to clear up. It works great removing pimples overnight. It maks popping pimples easier (it "hardens the pus so when I squeeze pimples it easily comes out like a worm and the bump goes down :))

Cons:

Seeing that I live in the Caribbean, sun exposure wen using this product irritates my skin a bit, but the moisturiser, makeup and sunblock helps

I LOVE IT! The best Acne product I've ever used.

Pros:

-Noticed results in just a couple of times of using, i only put a thin layer on twice, left it on for 2 hours then washed it off.
-I find it works great with Biore as gentle cleanser in the shower and Avene spring water moisture spray and moituriser

Cons:

-Dries out skin a bit.
-Makes skin flaky.

It's so far been a great acne cream. Dries out skin and makes skin flaky but using alot of oil-free moisturiser is helping a fair bit. Overall, this product id great for anyone with light acne to sever acne. I'm only using 2.5% and it's done wonders already. Love it.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
