Pros:

Cleared up body ance

Cons:

Did improve my facially acne but not to the degree I wanted. Keep hearing about body hair falling out. gutted, would'nt mind losing the chest rug.

Get on it and stay on it. Don't make any judgement till after 4 months or so. Still use your external regimes. I found that milk thistle made a difference inconjuction. This won't work 4 everyone, nothing does but it's not a scam, give it a go if u'v got the cash 2 flash.

Pros:

It works better than anything else I have tried

Cons:

It may lose its effectiveness after using it for a while. Maybe it's just my system begin to metabolize it faster?

It was great!!! I used it for about 8 months and things were getting better, but all the sudden outta blue, I get lots of breakouts. I am not sure what goes wrong. I started with 8g break it into 4 times a day and within 6 months I got it reduced to 6 g since my acnes were getting better. Now I am back on 8 g, if things dont get any better I will prob crank it up to 10g. This is frustrating. I thought things were going in right direction and my face was going to be completely clean by the summer time. Darn!!! Did anyone else experience the same problem of B5 losing its effectiveness? I also take other supplments - B complex, FishOil, Multi Vitamin, and Zinc. Btw, what's wrong with all these dermatologies out there? Arent they supposed to get this figured out? What's all the schooling for?

Pros:

Stops oily skin. Have had oily skin most of my life till I tryed b5. Stoped it over nite.

Cons:

B5 and Zorcor dont mix. The b vitamins are VERY dangerous with products like Zocor. I found out the hard way.

I have high colesteral and been on Zocor for years, after starting the b5 1000mg a day treatment for a month I was very pleased with the results then one day I woke up and could not walk !! My leg joints were so inflamed that I was hospitalized for 5 days . Not till I told them I was taking the B5 did they find the cause. The B5 makes the Zorcor 10 times more powerful then without it. Luck for me it was a simple fix. But they told me long term affects of using both would over tax my liver as well. My colesteral level went form 230 before taking the B5 to 90 in 30 days. B5 and colesteral lowering meds dont mix.. Take it from me !! I stoped the B5 and my joint inflamation went away in a week. I was told that B5 makes the side effects of this durg and others 5 times worse. Good for one thing --Bad for another.

I just started using vitamin B5 three days ago after reading so many positive reviews. Some of them sound so good (although I was suspicious that they might be written by vitamin sellers). I hope not. I have mild acne. My skin is oily around the T-zone. I decided to take 5g a day for the first three days. On the second day in the morning, I noticed a lot of small red pimples on my forehead (about 20). But, as everyone probably read before, it is probably caused by your skin pushing out the already forming ones. I hope that is what it is. Today is the third day, and I have a little bit more of pimples than I had the previous day. I hope this means this vitamin is working. I will come back and leave another review in about a week and tell you guys what happened. (Just look for reviews by Kate from CA, US)

Pros:

face is less oily, fewer breakouts

Cons:

diarrhea

I have been using SkinB5 for only a few days but already see an improvement. My skin is less oily and I have not had any new pimples since starting. After reading some of the other reviews, I'm a little nervous b/c I don't want it to lose its affect, this is actually working!! Hopefullly, the longer I use it, my existing pimples will go away. We'll see. It's worth a try.

Pros:

Pretty inexpensive

Cons:

Tastes awful, makes me feel sick and tired all day and I have constant diarreah.

I have only been taking this for two weeks now and I feel terrible. It has done nothing for my skin as of yet but I don't know if I can handle this feeling anymore. I keep thinking that my body will adjust like they say it will after approx. 7 day but I am not. Did anyone else feel like this at first. I want to keep going with it becasue it seems like it works for everybody else.

Pros:

does help with clearing skin better than antibiotics

Cons:

think hair does fall out quicker :~

Advice to Brian dont use vilantae i used it too it didnt work made it worse then i got some vitamin b5 on its own and took some pills and it helped calm the acne that vilantae had caused try it. i used vitamin b5 for some time it did help with the acne but it was like it was pushing big spots to the surface and i heared hair loss stories so i backed off after some of my hair was being lost i got scared...but my acne is still the problem so i am back on it now giving it another go but taking it in smaller dosage like only 3 or 4 or 5 pills a day and its doing the same thing its pushing spots to the surface and so im hoping after this it will start drying up the oil and my skin can become clearer. Good luck to everyone i feel your pain :(

Pros:

I think it is starting to help my breakouts.

Cons:

The reccomended dosage is 20 pills per day (10 grams)! Too many for me!

I take 6 grams (12 pills) a day plus a B-complex (helps b5 really work), multivitamin, zinc, and fish oil. I have seen a little improvement and will come back to comment in another 2 weeks.

B5 Pantothenic Acid
While I have not tried this exact brand per say, I am familiar with the main ingredient B5 Pantothenic Acid. The idea behind taking B5 is to reduce sebum production that your body produces. In theory less oil will help acne because the pores will not fill up and become inflamed with trapped debris. The B5 does its job at reducing sebum production however you need to take a significant dosage to see any appreciable results. Look into the powdered B5 which you can buy in bulk and then mix it so you can apply it on your face. It will save you having to swallow all the pills and it will be cheaper. The B5 pills are not cheap and you need to keep taking them or else your face will produce oil at the same rate before you started taking the B5 supplement. Its an alternative method that may work for others so there's no harm in trying it out for yourself

Doesn't last - Taken on and off for a few years
I've taken this while it worked, then stopped when it no longer dried up my oily skin. Then again re-started and it worked for a time. Unfortunately it just doesn't last. yes while it works it is great, oily skin to zero and great skin. But the funny thing is right now as i've cycled it for a few years it no-longer works at all. Even Pantethine won't kickstart the oily skin reversal anymore. I no longer want to touch the stuff, the effect of it not lasting is a right teeze. So screw it, back to the drawing board to figure out what exactly is happening that makes this stuff work even for short spells. I figured out that while im skinnier it lasts longer, while chubby it takes longer to work and for less time - so cholesterol lvl is a factor. Any of u guys have the same effect as me and are researching solutions plz message me.

Odorless garlic tabs are effective against skin bacteria and acne. The additional option is taking milk thistle to clean your liver to help skin. Esther C 500mg + and Lysine 500 mg+ increase collagine and keep skin wrinkle free.

Be careful with what you eat. The vitaminb5 become less efective the more trashy food i eat. Also take multiple small doses trooughout the day rather than 1 or 2 massive doses a day.

zinc gives me a similar effect to B5, try that. Far less expensive and you can just take one or two tablets as well.
