Pros:

Reduces Oil

Cons:

Took 2-3 grams per day for 10 days. Hair loss started on 10th day. Stopped supplementing immediately. Hair Loss Has not Stopped after a month. READ BELOW,

I visited my dermatologist today regarding hair loss due to B5. He works at Tufts Medical Center in Boston with the Dermatology Department. His colleagues and him have seen many hair loss issues related to supplementing with all types of Vitamins. The Department is aware of hair loss due to Vitamin B5. The cause of hair loss is actually Toxicity. They believe the toxicity is a result of a binding ingredient used in the Supplement that is not labeled on the bottle. They do not believe B5 is the actually cause of hair loss, but it may be. So when taken in high doses, your body becomes poisoned by the binding ingredient (or possibly B5) which causes TE (Telogen effluvium). TE is characterized by diffuse hair shedding. Generally, recovery is spontaneous and occurs within 6 months. My dermatologist said most people recover within 3-5 months, but there are a few cases where people do not recover. Mega-dosing for long periods of time increases the chances of non-recovery. He explained that hair loss due to B5 (or the binding ingredient in the supplement) is not a Vitamin Deficiency! Therefore supplementing with Biotin or a B-Complex will not protect against the Hair Loss. Your body is poisoned and needs to naturally recover. The best ways he told me to recover are to exercise daily with lots of cardio (you need to sweat) and drink plenty of water. Supplementing with other vitamins, antioxidants, or oils will not stop or prevent the hair loss. Please Be very careful with B5 and DO NOT MEGADOSE (Over 1 Gram per day)

Pros:

The first few days it gave me more energy, but that wore off

Cons:

Taking so many tablets. As well I've been feeling more drowsy recently - although maybe that's cos I haven't been to the gym in a couple of weeks!

It hasn't done anything for my acne yet ! I've been on it for three weeks. One of the main reasons I want to stick with it is because it's supposed to reduce your pores as well and I've been struggling with open pores, which I think aggravate me more than acne ! But I've been trying M2 lotion ( 12%) for a couple of days and it seems to be super for my skin.

Pros:

less oily skin

Cons:

broke me out worst than EVER!

After reading all the great reviews about B-5 (especially for oily skin), I went and purchased the twin lab 500mg. I went with this product and stuck with it for close to 2 mths. I didn't mega-dose it because too much of anything is not good for your body. I took 6 grams a day spread through out the day, and you'd think after taking it for the time I did, I'd see SOME or even a SLIGHT improvement, but I didn't, it just made my acne SOOO WORSE. So bottom line, I'm not saying it doesn't work, but it's DEFINITELY NOT FOR ME! I feel like all the money I spent was just wasted. I found that Nature's Cure for Females did me better justice.

Pros:

Cheap

Cons:

Hard on the stomach
After 2 weeks didn't see any improvement

I don't know, this didn't work for me. I tried 15 pills (each 500mg) a day and there was absolutely no reduction in oil. Going to try Acnescript's oily skin version to see if that's a possible solution instead.

Pros:

No more large pores. No more rough skin. No more pimples. No more oily skin. :-)

Cons:

No more hair. :-(

If you love your face more than your hair then try it. I tried using accutane last year but I stopped because of the major side effects that I encountered. I switched to B5 because of the great reviews I read about it and it's safer than accutane because it's wate-soluble. By using B5 for almost 2 months, my face was %100 clear but I notice that my hairs were becoming brittle and around 100 hairs are falling from my head everyday. So again, what do you want %100 clear skin or 100 hair falling from your head each day.

Pros:

Not that expensive if u look around for the cheapest price.

Cons:

N/A

I've battled with mild acne since I was 14. I've tried everything! proactive, differen, antibiotics, every over the counter product u can think of. I've even tried my own experiments... Like putting different stuff on different pimples on my face to see which one really worked. Recently out of nowhere my face broke out horribly! I mean it was from my forehead to my chin. From ear to ear! I went to the dermatologist n he injected over 25 pimples with cortisone. It scarred the lower part of my cheeks. ( I had never had a pimple on my lower part of my face) Iam devasted. I don't go out at all! So I was googling acne cures and I came across clear5 that has b5. I ordered it immidiately!!!! I'll keep every1 posted after 2 weeks. Wish me luck

Pros:

none

Cons:

As soon as i started taking it my acne got worse and worse and worse, i took the dam stuff for over a month two! this is the worse my acne has ever been in my life!

It seems that it works for some people, I obviously wouldn't recommend it to anyone because of what it did to me. Seriously just go get accutane, that's what im doin today.
