Pros:

helped a little

Cons:

Still broke out consistently

Just didn't work for me. Now I use Apple cider vinegar and it works great.

Pros:

I tried this in the past, I did it for about a month. I saw no new break outs, but did nothing to kill existing pimples any quicker. Now I realize I wasn't taking a b-complex, so I will try it again, and this time with a b-complex.keep ya' posted!

Cons:

Nothing that I noticed. My hair was fine, but I have very oily skin and I did not notice any reduction, again, I was taking no b-complex and the woman at the vitamin store said without a b-complex vitamin it won't absorb at all. So we shall see.

Will post back in 5 days when the bottle is empty and let you all know.

Pros:

Almost immediate result. The right dosage seems to stabilise my skin.

Cons:

Beneficial but not a miracle cure for me, and too high a dose made me look ill and affected my hair.

The problem with acne is that left on its own the day-to-day severity can vary so much, for no apparent reason. It is therefore very difficult to test out the effects of a new product. However B5 did have an immediate and dramatic effect on me. At 2g per day it dried out my skin and seemed to stabilise it. I did however look a little ill (although I didnt feel any different). My hair suffered badly too (like I'd used the wrong shampoo). At 3g per day I looked like I had died a couple of days previously. 10g per day sounds like nonsense to me. I have settled for 1g per day for now ' which seems a good compromise.

Pros:

Made my pores a lot smaller very rapidly.

Cons:

None so far.

I have been taking SkinB5 for just under 2 weeks. There has been no noticeable difference so far, but I understand that optimal results often require up to 2 months, so I will keep going with it. However, SkinB5 claims that a tub will last 20 days. I have already gone through 1 and a half tubs in 12 days? I have followed the instructions carefully, 3 x 5g scoops of powder daily. In theory, that ought to make sense, 15g a day x 20 = 300g which is quoted on the tub. All I can think is that the scoop they include 'for your convenience' actually takes more than the 5g, so you use more of the powder a lot faster, and hence go out and buy more of the stuff. I wouldn't mind paying £100 a week if I knew for sure it would keep me acne free, but I'm annoyed about SkinB5 at the moment. I will do some measuring!

Pros:

WORKS GREAT FOR OILY SKIN.

Cons:

MANY SIDE EFFECTS WITH SCRIP/DRUGS. BE SUPER CAREFUL

B-5 TIME RELEASE WORKED GREAT FOR MY OILY SKIN BUT I AM ALSO TAKING A SATIN AND MY LEGS WENT INTO SHUT DOWN MODE. SPENT TWO WEEKS IN PAIN BEFORE FINDING OUT THAT IT DOES EFFECT THE JOINTS AND I WAS IN LOTS OF PAIN, LOSS ALL MY LEG HAIR AS WELL. KNEES WHERE 3 TIMES THERE SIZE. MD'S WHERE LOSS FOR WORDS. AS SOON AS I STOPED IT WENT AWAY. KNEES WENT DOWN OVER NIGHT. MAYBE THERE ARE OTHER DRUGS IT DOES NOT WORK WELL WITH. MY MD'S NEVER KNEW OF THIS SIDE EFFECT BUT THIS TYPE OF BRUD HAS BEEN KNOW TO HAVE ADVERSE EFFECTS WITH SOME DRUGS MADE FOR BLOOD/JOINTS PROBLEM. IF YOU LOOK UP B5 IN THE AMA'S DRUG BOOK (NOT THE PDR) IT SAYS THAT LITTLE OR NO STUDYS HAVE BEEN DONE USE THIS DRUG FOR A LONG TIME. IT ALSO SAY'S THAT A POSSIBLE PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE TAKING ASPRIN'S IS NOW BEING STUDYED. NICE FOR OILY SKIN BUT TO RISKY FOR LONG TERN USE. I STOPED TAKING IT ANS ALL MY LEG PAIN AWAY, AND MY LEG HAIR CAME BACK. LIKE I SAID "ALL" MY DOCTORS WHERE STUMPED ABOUT THIS DRUG. TAKE WITH A OPEN EYE !

Pros:

Don't know yet

Cons:

Don't know yet

Just discovered these reviews so at the weekend I went and bought 100 500mg timed release B5 tablets, 50 Vitamin B complex and 100 multi vits. Having read all the reviews on here I though I would try out my own regime. I have suffered from acne since about 15 and I'm 31 now. I don't get that many spots but they're still unsightly and I don't like having a spotty back and chest, especially when getting naked with a girl for the first time... I'm a bit worried about the side effects - hair loss etc and also if you take a massive dose all the time that acne will be a lot worse when you stop. What I'm doing is having 2X 500mg in the morning with a B complx, and 2X 500mg in the evening with the multi vit. What I am hoping is I can gradually find my doseage without shocking my system too much. I'm going to do a week at this level and then see if anything has happened. Fingers crossed. :)
