Toothpaste worked well on acne
It worked well. Put only on the acne, not on the face or other part of the skin before going to bed. It dried the acne in after 2 nights.

Pros:

It worked, left my skin feeling nice. Sweeling and redness went away and it dried up my pimples

Cons:

It BURNS alot at first, but then it cools down. like an icy hot patch but real burn. It dries out your skin so use good moisturizer

Try if you think you should

Pros:

You people saying that it burns.. Are total wusses. It does not burn at all and it smells minty. THIS WORKS PEOPLE. If you say it doesnt work it does it cheaper and way BY FAR better then proactive that crap sucks.

Cons:

Its kinda hard to wash off but its not a big deal. TRY IT!

It works.

Pros:

Easy to use, affordable, leaves skin feeling clean and fresh.

Its a fast, simple way to make your skin look and feel alot better. I only use it as a mask once a day, and then leave it on for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water.

Pros:

DO NOT USE GEL TOOTHPASTE!!! ONLY PASTE TOOTHPASTE!!! Just had to get that out since someone actually used gel. Anyways, i left it on for like 2 minutes before going to bed, next morning, almost all the acne was gone!

Cons:

burns! do not leave it overnight for some people (leaves mark) leave it on as long as me. if nothing happens, do it longer than me :) and i already said it before, DO NOT USE GEL TOOTHPASTE!!!!!!!

way better than proactiv or really any kind of acne product!!! besides, it's basically free since all of us use toothpaste for our teeth all the time! Try putting it on before you brush your teeth, then brush you teeth (for 2 min. is the appropriate time) then you rinse it off, then go to bed. (for me I also use this 'oxy' product after I rinse the toothpaste) DO NOT USE GEL TOOTHPASTE PEOPLE!!!!!!!

Pros:

cheap, it works, i love the cool feeling i get when i put it on my face. it does not burn or irritate my skin and my face feels really clean when i wash it off. i put it on my whole face and just take it all in... it does not stink either.

Cons:

i really cant think of any cons..........except maybe that it is kind of hard to wash off.

i will use it everyday and NEVER EVER spend money on another acne product. i have spent so much money on other things and none of them have ever worked. i should have tried this years ago. i could tell a difference instantly after using it the first time. it did not burn or irritate my skin and my skin is much more smoother and feels so much lighter than it ever has before. I LOVE TOOTHPASTE. LOL.........

Pros:

If used correctly, it works very fast.

Cons:

It can leave you with a minty morning pillow.

This remedy is extremely old and it is not recommeneded by dermatologist because the FDA would go acne broke because people wouldn't be buying thier medications. The good news is that it does work effectively on 99% of people if used correctly. What you do to cure acne is researched and here. First of all, add a fiber supplement to your diet which will greatly reduce oil levels in your skin. Another really important step is to stop touching the acne because that is a number one come on for larger zits and more acne. The the cleaning process. First, After you take a shower, have a clean towel on hand that is a face only towel and dry your face well. While your pores are vulnerable from the steam and heat of the shower use a 2% salyclic acid face wash. After the face wash take some "Crest Tarter Control Regular Paste" and apply it on the whole area in smooth strokes. Let it dry and wash it off after you get up in the morning with hot water. Repeat these steps until it is gone. Works!!!

Pros:

It's fast, effective, cheap. It gets rid of pimples. I buy the cheapest brand for my treatment :)

Cons:

It leaves slightly dark spots on your face after the pimple is completely dried out.

Toothpaste really helps in drying out pimples completely. (If you have sensitive skin try it out on one single pimple, leave the toothpaste overnight and watch for any reactions the next morning.) Do not use the toothpaste method for long periods of time. I just use it once or twice a week. The bad side to it, is that I noticed dark spots on my skin a few days later after the pimple was gone, but a good facial whitening cream should correct this problem.

I faced the same thing as well, actually what happened is that we kept it for too long and it burned our skin.. I'm thinking to use it for an hour only on the pimple and see what is gonna happen.

Pros:

works well, and fast
cheap
smells good

Cons:

it does burn a little, and make your eyes water

use it. the other comments i've seen about it sucking, and drying out your skin, by NO means should you keep it on over night, or even more than an hour for that matter, especially if you are using a mint toothpaste. i usually put it on twice a day about 5 minutes before i brush my teeth and wash it off when im done. works fine for me.
