Pros:

Initially I felt as though my skin got better and periods were steady.

Cons:

My chest grew larger! HORRIBLE! I have gained 10 pounds! Very moody, grumpy, sleepy all the time! No interest in all the things I loved to do.

This pill is not for verybody, please consult before taking and stop as soon as you see any odd changes.

Pros:

Started to clear skin and old acne scars after a few days, weight loss

Cons:

SIDE EFFECTS!! Gave me random (and scary) sensations of vertigo, messed with my vision, messed with my hearing, dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue, NO sleep, trouble breathing, bloated,

Just google the endless complaints on this birth control pill. I don't know how long this thing is gonna be "FDA approved", but SO many ladies are writing about the multitude of side effects this pill causes! Many girls have even had severe panic attacks and blood clots from it..The point is, YAZ is a very new drug to the market and it contains potassium, which could easily affect the blood stream and heart. I used this pill for 3 days, and on the first day I nearly passed out several times. I should've stopped then, but after doing more research a couple days later, I decided that synthetically perfect skin was something not worth testing this drug out for. I'm not against birth control for acne, but since this birth control tampers with your emotions and potassium levels, I won't even touch it. Seriously, just look up YAZ reviews and you'll get so many helpful stories telling you to stay away from this pill! And now I'm hesitant to even take bc, so I'm looking for natural solutions..

Pros:

Shorter, lighter periods, No Nausea, Larger Breast

Cons:

Broke out on my faces, places where I usually did not break out. Very emotional especially the first month. The worst cramps in my life, felt faint at times, some headaches, too expensive

Its really not worth the money, unless it does clear the acne and does the things it says it will in the commercial. Otherwise, don't waste your time.

Pros:

Contraceptive

Cons:

Mood swings, Weight gain, fluid retention, break through bleeding, low sex drive, headache.

Yaz changed my life in a bad way. I have become depressed and low in energy. I have been abnormally bleeding and have frequent headaches. The only good thing that has come out of Yaz is that it cleared up my mild acne.

Pros:

Didn't really notice any significant advantages to using this pill.

Cons:

Started having my period every two weeks... got tired of it and decided to quit. When I quit I started having panic attacks which still flare up from time to time. I think this medication threw my hormones waaaaay off.

I wouldn't recommend it. I know that if your desperate to try anything it sounds like a good medication to take, but try something else, possibly antibiotics or some other alternative. I really don't think the side effects are worth the risk. I wish I would have listened to the bad reviews and never taken it. I hope the new medication I'm going to take (a dioretic that controls hormones) will balance me back out.

Pros:

I assume it prevents pregnancy. I'm not even sexually active, but I'm taking it to qualify for Accutane.

Cons:

Three weeks into it, I'm getting painful leg cramps, cold sweats, fatigue and a weird tingling sensation all over. Yaz is also expensive, because there's no generic.

Too many side effects. My gyno says almost all birth control pills can help acne, simply because they regulate hormones. I believe Yaz is more dangerous than other pills, so I'm switching to Tri-Nessa (generic Ortho Tri-cyclen) asap.

Pros:

?

Cons:

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE breakouts worse then before I went on it.

i dont know if it takes a few months (like accutane) and has to bring everything to the surface before it clears it up, but right now (first month just completed) its doing nothing good. I have also been on my period for three weeks straight now.

Pros:

prevents pregnancy

Cons:

where do I start?...I have the worst complexion I have EVER had with deep, painful, under-the-skin acne always on my chin, MAJOR break-thru bleeding for 4-5 days, horrid moodiness around my period, very expensive $30 per pack, can't lose weight

DO NOT give in to the tempting claims of the commercial for YAZ (which Bayer is actually being sued over because the claims are false). It has done nothing but the opposite of what it says it does for you. I was quite happy with the RING but decided to switch it up as soon as YAZ came out because of the benefits it promised. I have been on YAZ for about 2 years now (or however long it's been out). It worked well at first, very light and short periods. After about 6 months I began spotting in between periods and the spotting got longer and heavier as the months went by. This month (last month i'm on this btw) I have literally been spotting for a week straight and my period is still 2 weeks away. This is killing my sex life too because I feel like I have my period 3 weeks out of every month. I have no self-confidence because of the horrible and painful acne marks on my chin...so embarassing. Dont wait to give this pill the benefit of the doubt!

Pros:

made me get my period. that's about it.

Cons:

didn't do crap for my acne. in fact it probably made me worse. i can't go anywhere without feeling self concious of my skin, i can't stand to look people in the face. it made me moody, and irritable, and i cry easily. this product blows.

don't waste your money, for every 100 consumers only like ONE will have good results. the rest of us are screwed.
