Pros:

Cleard my skin completely in the first 2 months of use. Bigger rounder breasts are a plus.

Cons:

Increased anxiety, mood swings and a littl depression. also a slight dizzy feeling

Ive had moderate acne bothering me for the last 9 years and none of the topical creams or clensers i tied really worked. After 2 months on Diane i feel much prettyer when i look in the mirror because my skin is the best its been in years, plus my breats are bigger! but... i have definatly noticed an inability in controling my emotions. Havent really felt happy or enegertic since taking it. and the more i read about its side effects and dangers on the internet the less i want to continue, im thinking of stopping and changing to minocycline or another treatment.

Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

Severe migraines, nausea, vomiting...

I was on this for a week before I had to give up and stop taking it. The fact it was supposed to clear up my skin was insane to trade for feeling soooo sick. I have tried other pills, and this one has by far had the worst side effects for me.

Pros:

Birth control, clear skin

Cons:

Depression, mood swings including extreme anger. Increased PMS, total loss of libido

As a mum in her 30's I was sick of zits and my Dr suggested I try Diane-35. The first 6 months were great, clear skin, no noticible mood changes. Then my moods and depression got worse each month. I went off it and I couldn't believe how my moods and my sex drive improved. BUT...by the 3rd month I was back to zits big time. I had 2 packs left so I have gone back on it...halfway thru first pack and my moods are terrible...waiting for the zits to go. I will go back to the Dr to find something else.

Pros:

clear glowing acne free skin, bigger boobs, birth control

Cons:

mood swings and price

It was recommended to me by my doctor since i was 16 for my irregular cycles. It really works to regulate my period plus they are way lighter and less painful now. After a couple of months my acne was gone and to avoid it coming back i usually take it on and off, at least stop it off for like 3mths every year. This is the best product ever.

Pros:

Cleared acne, lighter and more regular periods, less cramps

Cons:

Unbelievable weight gain, SWOLLEN and tender breasts, hungery all the time, moody/depressed

It feels like PMS allllll the time-- my breasts are always swollen and tender as hell! I'm soooo moody that I thought if I didn't know how I was, I would think I was crazy.. I can't stop eating and I gained so much weight that it's unreal.. and it's only been 2 months.. my skin is definintely clearer and less oily however, my hair is so dry as well since this has affected the oil production on my scalp. My acne wasn't terrible, I just had larger pores and when I got a blemish, I got a blemish- those ingrown cystic ones. Another doozy is I think this gave me a painful bloodclot in my leg-- it kills-- still waiting to see the dr to verify this but that seems to be what it is when I speak to others who have taken this poison... finished my last pill for this cycle of 2 months and I'm done because frankly, I can't take the side effects... it helped one thing, my acne but created a whole bunch of ther problems...now that I am done, I just hope I a) deflate and b)don't break out!

Pros:

None as of yet.

Cons:

Depression has gotten A lot worse, constant cravings and wanting to eat, mood swings terrible, acne has gotten worse. Weight gain. Very emotional.

I have only been using this product for 3 weeks so im not excpecting to see any results just yet. I am willing to stay on it for 3 months though becuase my doctor said it may take that long for my skin to clear up but im hoping my moods improve because i dont think i can take feeling the way i have been any longer. Its been Terrible. I dont feel like doing anything, and if anyone says the smallest thing i go off and just start crying uncontrollably. I dont want this to scare anyone off using it because with any pill the first month of taking it your body is adjusting to the hormonal changes so you have to expect there to be some side affects. Fingers crossed things will be better within the next month, i will let you know.

Pros:

Continuously clear skin (for over 15 years!), regular & light cycle (virtually no cramping), no pregnancy scares

Cons:

Occasional depression and mood swings 1-2 days prior to getting period, and most recently, seriously low sex drive!

I have been on Diane 35 for over 15 years almost CONTINUOUSLY! I went on it when I was 18 after 2 unsuccessful attempts at using Roaccutane (after which my acne came back worse!). I am now 32 and have found Diane 35 to be excellent at treating my acne. I have attempted to go onto a more 'typical' BCP a few times because of the price. Diane is not subsidized in Australia making it 3 times more expensive than a regular pill. My acne has returned with a vengeance every time, particularly on my back & chest. Up until now I have been pleased with Diane 35 and have had relatively few side effects. However, recently my sex drive has virtually disappeared, much to the disappointment of my partner. After 2 years of suffering, he is at his wits end, and I am now researching possible reasons. Perhaps it is due to my age or other emotional issues, however I am exploring physical causes first: they're the easiest to cure!

Pros:

Will control oil production and reduce facial hair. Will clear up acne, control and lighten periods.

Cons:

Abnormally hungry, weight gain, loss of sexual appetite, moodiness, fatigue, headaches.

If your skin is ruining your life, it's worth it-but remember, there are tons of other products for acne. I take tetracycline for example.

Pros:

Birth Control; Clearer skin, regulated period, slightly fuller breast

Cons:

Increased menstrual pain while on the pills.
Weight gain; Skin more oily and broke out more after stopping; Increased menstrual pain; Constant hunger

It is not worth it. The cons outweight the pros. I took Diane for birth control purposes. I never had to take pain killers before, but while on this I had to take pain killers if not I would not be able to sleep. Weight gain was horrible, so I stopped after 3 cycles. I am petite (5ft) small boned, asian built. My hips grew from a size 0 to a size 4 within a month. My stomach also grew larger. Pants and skirts which I could have pulled off without unbuttoning before, I barely can zip/button up now. I had to buy a whole new wardrobe. (my cousin was also on Diane for half a year, skirts that hung on her waist now can barely fit her hips) Skin and scalp felt oilier after I stopped Diane, and my forehead broke out, which is unlike the past when I had zero acne. While on diane, I was considerably hungrier, and ate more than double my normal serving of rice. Even after stopping diane, I still feel the hunger pangs
