3 mg drosperinone and 0.03 mg ethinyl estradiol.

Inactive ingredients:
lactose monohydrate NF, corn starch NF, pregelatinized starch NF, povidone 25000 NF, magnesium stearate NF, hypromellose USP, macrogol 6000 NF, titanium dioxide USP, talc USP, and ferric oxide pigment, yellow NF. Pros:

clearer skin, i have no dizziness, headaches, or weight gain so far. but my boobs are slightly bigger!

I was surprised to see that my skin started clearing up right away within the first week. (Yasmin- not YAZ) I thought it would take longer than this and from the reviews i have read, i thought it would get worse before it got better. this hasn't been the case so far and i hope it continues this way. I have never had good skin but i had it under control until i was 22. and then all of a sudden i got the worst acne of my life-huge cysts leaving dark marks all over my cheeks, chin, and jawline. i have no idea why it got so bad all of a sudden- but i am assuming it is hormonal which is why i think the pill is helping me so much. I think if this pill works at all- it will have good results within the first week of taking it.

Pros:

Weight loss (about 5 lbs), acne clearing up

Cons:

Mood swings, cramps

I switched to Yasmin after unsuccesfully being on Orthotricyclin for 5 months to clear up my acne- it made me break out horribly! and I was also really depressed. I've been on Yasmin for a little over 2 months and have to say its a lifesaver. My skin broke out bad the first month (little bumps all over my forehead and check, nose area) but now its clearing up and almost gone. On the negaitve, I've become very irritable and I get angry and upset quickly, I hope that goes away or gets better- but its not bad enough to stop taking it. I was tired and lathargic the first month I took it but thats pretty much gone away. The one major draw back for me is the price. $58 a month! But because its gotten rid of the acne I had since high school (I'm 20) I think its worth it for me and I'm going to continue taking it.

Pros:

clearer skin

depressed

i've put up with acne for years and i had tried strong antibiotics and proactive for my skin and none of this worked. my doctor put me on yasmin which i have been on for about 4 months now, my skin had started to clear up really well with just some scars which i thought would clear up over time, but now im starting to break out again and after reading reviews on here im worried im going to get proper acne again and im especially worried about when i stop taking yasmin now! i don't know whether to just stop taking it after reading these reviews?

Pros:

it significantly clears up your skin within 3 months, no nausea from the pill (if taken with food), no cramps during your period, and minor if any mood swings, also it doesn't cause you to put on the water weight that other birth control pills do

Cons:

ummm...it's kind of pricey, but other than that it's great.

I suffered from pretty bad cystic acne from the time I was 13 till I was 17. It really hurt my self image and I tried everything. Any topical you could name, and antibiotics, none of it worked. I didn't want to do accutane because it's so intense and can have some nasty side effects. So i tried this and my skin began improving within the first month, and continued to improve for the first three months of use. I still get zits every once in awhile, but I almost never get major cystic acne, and my face is clearer than it has ever been. I love this product.

Pros:

No weight gain,
No mood swings (more stable mood),
Less Acne!,
Boobs got bigger but went back to normal size after 3 months,
Not pregnant,

Cons:

always bloated
nausea (during the first week of a new pack, make sure your stomach is not empty hours after taking the pill!)
initial breakout

This is a wonder pill for me! You have to at least give it 3-5 months to see the difference. For the first 3 months I had big cystic acnes on my nose that wont go away! I had them injected with a cortisone shot so that they'd go flat and they did! At the start of 4th month I saw a huge difference. I mean there were still scars from the previous pimples but there were no acne anymore. I can live with the scars since I can always cover them with concealer and buy a scar removal topical. :)

Pros:

Improved my skin after getting worse for the first month or so, only one real side effect.

Cons:

Complete sex drive killer. No libido whatsoever :(

I've been on this a cuple of months now and was pleased about my skin but i'm going to have to change because i want my sex drive back!!! Now :(

Pros:

Prevents pregnancy, acne, and moodiness. Shorter, easier periods!!!

Cons:

Decreased Libido. Nausea when I first started taking it for a couple weeks.

I used this product for the first year of my marriage. It was wonderful as far as preventing pregnancy, and making my periods a lot shorter and lighter as well as drastically decreasing my cramps, and moodiness. I didn't gain any weight while on it either. I had some nausea for about the first 3 weeks, but nothing terrible. The only downfall, was the fact that I noticed my libido wasn't as strong, but that may have been due to other health issues and other medication for breathing problems. With insurance I paid $30.00. After a year I switched to a different generic BC pill and only paid $5.00 And it was just as good.

Pros:

does what it says it should - I haven't gotten prego, less bloating and cramps

Cons:

Moody, moody, low sex drive, moody, breakthrough bleeding (however I think I'm an exception on this one)

I like this pill more than some other one's that I've tried, however, after being on it for almost a year, I am really starting to feel dragged down emotionally. I have these crazy mood swings that I've never had before (not just when I'm PMSing), and god love my boyfriend because my sex drive has tanked. I'm getting so tired of having side effects to pills, but I would take slight acne and cramps over the depressing mood swings I get with Yasmine. I guess I'm off to the dr to see what other options I have.

Pros:

Clearer skin! ; little to no cramps, shorter & lighter periods, barely any weight gain, bigger boobs

Cons:

Mild headaches (for the first week I took Yasmin - they went away by the end of the week), spotting before period ( only for the first 2 months)

I had tried Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo before Yasmin & I had a lot of issues with feeling sick in the morning, my face seemed to break out even more while I was on it - so at first I was quite hesitant to try Yasmin ( I was worried it would have a similar effect). However! Am I glad I tried it! Within 3 months (almost to the day) my skin has cleared up. Before, I used to get huge, painful cystic pimples & now I have absolutely nothing ( I have a a SINGLE small pimple and it went away in 2 days!) I no longer have cramps & my periods have been bang on every month. Im really happy I tried this birth control & although the side effects are different for everyone - I would definitely try Yasmin to combat your acne!

Pros:

NO BABIES, SKIN IS SOFT, LOST WEIGHT.

Cons:

MY BOOBS HURT SO BAD, I DON'T HAVE THAT SEX DRIVE FOR MY HUSBAND AND I GET UP SET A LOT.

IT LOOKS AS IF ITS STARTING TO WORK FOR ME BUT ONLY TIME CAN TELL.
