Pros:

does its job

Cons:

lack of sexual desire/bodily response, gas

Lack of sexual desire is right! I've been on Yasmin for a month and wow, I've never been so uninclined to masturbate or so on/off (ie. wet, then dry) during sex. Will continue taking the pill for another month just to make sure it is Yasmin and not some other factor, but I doubt it! Advised to go on Yasmin by a doctor because it was stronger than Alesse (which didn't work for me) and it was covered under my healthcare plan. Then again most things are. Might end up trying Ortho Tricyclen.

Pros:

By three months my skin started drying up, six months I was almost perfectly clear, and now 9 months later I haven't had an inflammed pimple in months. Truly a god send. Leveled my cycles, reduced cramps, increased my chest...No complaints.

Cons:

Price if you have no insurance.

Try it. Try it. Try it. Changed my life.

Pros:

Cleared ance within two months of using

Cons:

MUST take at same time, and do not skip a day. First six months were an emotional roller coaster, but fine now.

If trying to clear up acne without emotional side effects, try taking everyday without the seven day placebo pills. This will helpeven out your emotions faster. Will also prevent the few pimples you may get with every period.

Pros:

Great reliable birth control, mild but consistent acne around corners of mouth, has disappeared. In one year of use one zit, due to change of skincare lotion.

Cons:

Terrible headache on reminder pills that lasted days and not effected by pain killers. Pigmentation increase of face. Bleed everyday for first three weeks when I initially took started this pill.

This pill is very expensive in Australia with $60 buying three month supply, not on PBS, but if it keeps your face zit free, and you can afford it, go for it. The headaches were excrutiating and often I would take my active pills after only two or three days of reminder pills just to relieve headache or skip them all together. It reduced my appitite initialy which is great but I wonder if it contributed to my anxiety issues after a few months contineous use.

Pros:

I've had bad acne forever. Yasmin is the only thing that ever helped it. Also shorter and more regular periods, less bleeding and sometimes less cramps.

Cons:

Unfortunately I developed pretty bad irritable bowel syndrome from the pill.

I went off the pill 4 months ago - my irritable bowel has gotten a lot better, but my face is breaking out worse than ever. My friend switched to Yasmin a few months ago and is getting crazy yeast infections. Bottom line is everyone is different and you have to keep trying until you find the best pill for your body.

Pros:

Major sex drive increase.....feel like i'm 18 again in that area :) I buy mine overseas for 20 a month.

Cons:

I have a little bleeding mid cycle if i take two months in a row.

I also still bleed heavilyl for two or three days. They are not as light as some pills.

Have been using 5 months for POCS symptoms mostly. It has made all those things go away. I love enjoying sex again...........It's all good here!! I am 39 years old.

Pros:

My skin looks 100% better, no weight gain and no irability issues as last BC pill.

Cons:

Lack of sex drive. Fatigue

I have been on the b/c pill for almost 15 years. I have been through 4 different kinds, Yasmin being my 5th. With other pills I have had problems with weight gain, to mood swings and acne issues. I have had the most sucess with Yasmin, aside from the sex drive. The lack of sex drive is causing some issues within my 8 year marriage. I am now starting to contemplate looking for a new form of birt control. Hope this review helps someone.

Pros:

Fresh complexion... no acne, protects against pregnancy

Cons:

moody.. mood swings tghe first month...

Very good for clearing up my skin.. My skin is amazing.. even the little bumps are gone. Only issue.. it makes me extremely cranky the 1st month. The adjusting to hormones is probably the issue. I began working out and it made me feel alot better
