Active Ingredients:
3 mg drosperinone and 0.03 mg ethinyl estradiol.

Inactive ingredients:
lactose monohydrate NF, corn starch NF, pregelatinized starch NF, povidone 25000 NF, magnesium stearate NF, hypromellose USP, macrogol 6000 NF, titanium dioxide USP, talc USP, and ferric oxide pigment, yellow NF. The white inert film-coated tablets contain lactose monohydrate NF, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate NF, hypromellose USP, talc USP, and titanium dioxide USP.

Pros:

Prevents pregnancy. not been on long enough to tell. kept appetite down, if thats a symptom.

Cons:

breakout(all under the skin, so bumpy effect), especially forehead and a lot on upper neck, behind ears.
Increase facial hair =( not v. noticeable
breakout bleeding for the whole first month.

Now that I think about it, it really has increased my acne. It may just be during bleeding though... and maybe the pill needs a few months to work.

Pros:

Did not have the emotional side-effects like with Ortho Tri-Cyclen/ no PMDD that is usual for me with no pill; did clear up my ace some

Cons:

High blood pressure (i'm usually right below the average 120/80 and went up to 140ish/?; feelings of circulation problems; did not sleep as soundly; some weight gain (have never had problems with weight)

The health risk was too great, was very happy not to have the emotional side-effects of other pills, and the PMDD I have naturally, didn't clear up my acne like Orth Tri-Cyclen does

Pros:

My boobs are growing! no pregnacy

Cons:

Less sleep at night, moodiness, minor low sex drive, very tender swollen breasts, painful migranes, always hungry(but no weight change, I haven't gained in years no matter how much I eat.)

I've been on Yasmin for almost 2 months. For the first month I experienced a lot of nausea, however I never vomited, so that's a plus. My breasts have been extremly sore, however I noticed they look slightly larger but I am not sure if that is because of the swolling. I hear the pill makes women's breasts enlarge, so I hope mine keep on sproutin'! I've always been emotional, even before the pill, so I am not sure if I can blame Yasmin for that. As of lack of sex drive, it's minor for me.

Pros:

not prego! cleared my backne INSTANTLY!!!!

Cons:

HORRIABLE SCALP HAIR LOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its good but i need to find out why my hair is falling out.

Pros:

-not pregnant
-huge boobs!! ( from an A cup to a C)
-no nausea, no mood swing !

Cons:

-Really really bad cysts acne !! i felt awfull !! all over my mouth, very painful!! never really had acne since i was a teen.( 7 years ago). Lower self esteem because of it. Stop taking it but after 6 mouths i still battle with this HUGE Cysts.

seriously if you do not have acne, do not take this pill ! if you have, maybe it will help you but if not, be prepare to have a lot of big friends on your face ! i'm now on the pill aviane ( generics for alesse) and no changes yet. Next is accutane :( Yasmin was my first experience with the pill and i'm 27. Good luck everyone.

Pros:

It got my period back on track. Supressed my appetite.

Cons:

I had clear skin, now I have acne, bad. My cramps are just as bad as before. Still have really heavy bleeding. Loss of concentration was noticed during first month. Mood swings and depression were also noticeable.

It regulated my period, and made me loose weight by sipressing my appetite. At the same time my cramps, and bleeding did not improve. I also have horrible acne after starting Yasmin. I would recomend it, but not to people that will be bothered with the acne.

Pros:

-protects you from babies!
-lighter periods
-skin looks healthier, but not clear

Cons:

-doesn't help with period cramps that much (buy some midol just in case!)
-didn't clear acne

you have to try it and figure out if it works for you. I'm switching to a stronger pill to cure my acne, hopefully for good. This pill has great to me otherwise, try it and find out if it works for you!

Pros:

my acne has cleared up heaps. yasminem i saw results in 1 month. i dont wake up with a new zit every mornining and an adiniional pro, my boobs are bigger!

Cons:

mood swings, outburst, very emotional, a feeling of discontent.

it is pricey but it has made my skin so much better, and i hate to say it but id rather be more moody and have CLEARER skin. too me havin acne just really crushd my selfeesteem (a strong point in my personality). and made me more intrevert to not goin out. in compareson i am much happier now that i dont have to hide my face anymore and crawl up in ball. im looking forward to seeing the results in a few months time :P

Pros:

No babies

Cons:

HORRIBLE SKIN!!! Since I started taking this pill my skin has gotten horrible. It has made me so sad to tell my face like this. Terrible mood swings, headaches and my boobs have felt triple the size. Very painfull!

If you know what's bet for you DO NOT take this pill

Pros:

I have probs with adult acne on my chin/cheeks, and nothing I have tried...skin medicine or other pills..does a thing, yet Yasmin makes my skin perfect. I also lose weight on this pill.

Cons:

Nausea in the morning, total loss of sex drive, and worst of all, intense, uncontrllable anger and depression out of nowehere.

I took this pill a couple years ago for about a year. Long enough to clear up my skn and stop the vicious cycle of breakouts. Because of this, any scarring started to clear up, and even the entire next year I was off of it, my skin remained calm. Only after a BIG mistake...a spray on tan, did my acne flare up again horrible. a year and a half later, after nothing else working, I am back on Yasmn. One week into it, skin is the best ts been n a couple years again. If it only wasnt for the moods!
