Pros:

Clears acne quickly you see good results in just a matter of weeks!!

Cons:

So far none but minor headaches but worth it!!! If you have no insurance expensive.

This is a great acne treatment if you take it as prescribed. I have only been on this close to a week and have seen great results.

Pros:

I started to see results the first week. My face had less breakouts, and when I did get them, they were smaller. (btw i have oily skin)

Cons:

headaches

Take it as prescribed and it should help out just fine, however it will take time. BE PATIENT!!!!

Pros:

-clears up acne
-new breakouts (if any) are small and go away quickly

Cons:

-makes acne worse BEFORE getting better
-takes some time to work
-pretty expensive

It took about a month of me using Solodyn before I started noticing a difference. When I did notice a difference, it was because my acne had gotten worse. Then, my face started peeling really bad. I exfoliated and exfoliated and finally got rid of all the nasty peeling. My face looks better than it has in 2 years. It is still dry and alittle flaky but I just use lots of moisterizer. I would rather it be dry than have acne!!

Pros:

Any new pimples are much, much smaller and go away in a day or two without scarring (unless you pick them of course).

Cons:

Gives me headaches if I don't drink enough water.

You won't see much of an improvement until you've been taking it for a couple of weeks, like any other medicine. At first its not a drastic improvement, but my skin is better than before I was taking it so I can't complain, i've only been taking it for three weeks, so we'll see. I take Solodyn every night before I go to bed and I take Vitamin E and A in the morning, and it really, really helps.

Pros:

If you have the card it's cheap for up to three months. After that, it's up to your insurance.

Cons:

Only works after time and you need to stick with it or you may become immune to the antibiotics.

Some people may have reactions to it as with other antibiotics. Some of the opionions here are a little out there. I work in the medical industry and have to say that I don't think it can cause acne unless your cleaning habits changed after taking this medication. It carries the same risk as other antibiotics but this one is time realease so it ensures there is a steady stream of it in your blood to fight acne bacteria. I work out and it didn't make me tired or weak at all. No liver problems and no skin redness, dryness, or other reactions. Like other antibiotics, it's a temporary fix and although rare, it's usually not perscribed for more than six months. I did get a 10 month perscription which I found to be irrisponsible of my NP. Bottom line, it's a start to get you clear so you can get into good cleaning habbits and maybe wait it out till you get older. (I'm 30 btw and suffer from facial and body/back acne) Maybe one day I'll grow out of this curse.

Pros:

It cleared my face up very effectively. I have mild acne but I still had a lot of clogging and I have an oily face. This medicine works very well!

Cons:

It took a while. I've been taking it for 4 months now. It is pricey too if you don't have the coupon.

Take it. It works and it's definitely worth the wait.

Pros:

Works in 2-4 weeks. Very quick to get rid of lifelong problems. Not drying like most acne medications.

Cons:

Itchy skin all over body.

Works soo well on my skin! However, my acne was not too severe. I get the painful ones in the cheek areas and occasional ones on chin. I have not had a breakout since about 3 weeks after I started using it.
