Pros:

Solodyn kept most or all acne away.

Cons:

It needs to be taken with food or else there may be a slight queaziness...especially in the morning. Did not get rid of the small cystic acne below the jawline.

Works well. Nothing can rid your acne "FOREVER" so don't go in with unreal expectations but this product clears up moderate acne but not rid of severe acne such as large cysts below the skin.

It has helped me feel better about myself and now when I look in the mirror I feel pretty again

Pros:

It works as long as you keep taking it.

Cons:

The price if you don't have decent insurance or the discount cards. Some people complain of dizziness and weakness.

As long as you get the right MG it works. At least it worked for me. I've had acne for over 17 years and this really works for facial acne. I had slight dizziness and weakness when I first started taking it but it didn't effect my workout at all. I've been on the RX for over a year and just got another year RX from the derm. She didn't seemed concerned at all regarding the time I've been on it. No liver problems, no dizziness anymore, and no redness. My derm was kind enough to also give me a handfull of discount cards although I've already paid the $300 deductable for my crappy RX plan. Make sure you try to take it around the same time everyday with at least some water.

Pros:

It cleared the redness of my face within about one week :D At one point i thought nothing was going to work on my face because i tried everything in the stores. Solodyn is amazing, and i recomend it to anybody in their teens.

Cons:

the first few times i used it it made my stomach super sick, still get a few pimples here and there.

if you have really bad acne, this is the stuff for you. It isn't like all of the stuff you buy at the store, it actually works. It gave me my confidence back :)

Pros:

Clears acne quickly you see good results in just a matter of weeks!!

Cons:

So far none but minor headaches but worth it!!! If you have no insurance expensive.

This is a great acne treatment if you take it as prescribed. I have only been on this close to a week and have seen great results.

Pros:

-clears up acne
-new breakouts (if any) are small and go away quickly

Cons:

-makes acne worse BEFORE getting better
-takes some time to work
-pretty expensive

It took about a month of me using Solodyn before I started noticing a difference. When I did notice a difference, it was because my acne had gotten worse. Then, my face started peeling really bad. I exfoliated and exfoliated and finally got rid of all the nasty peeling. My face looks better than it has in 2 years. It is still dry and alittle flaky but I just use lots of moisterizer. I would rather it be dry than have acne!!

Pros:

It cleared my face up very effectively. I have mild acne but I still had a lot of clogging and I have an oily face. This medicine works very well!

Cons:

It took a while. I've been taking it for 4 months now. It is pricey too if you don't have the coupon.

Take it. It works and it's definitely worth the wait.

Pros:

clears cystic acne
heals existing pimples fast

Cons:

Severe side effects: Hives, severe itching, constipation, weird dreams

Antibiotics have been the only thing that worked to clear my acne. My acne came back so my dermatologist prescribed solodyn this time. While I was only on it for a month it worked great to clear my skin! I saw a noticeable difference right away. But 3 and a half weeks into it I began experiencing severe hitching and broke out in hives. I don't normally experience side effects with medication but the itching is unbearable. I didn't take the pill for one day to see if the itching would stop and I broke out with two HUGE cysts on my cheek. I can't take this any longer because the hives and itching are so bad. I say give it a try because you may not experience any side effects and it definitely works to clear cystic acne.

Pros:

I'm pretty sure it was making my skin clear along with a topical (Atralin), and it seemed to make some scars fade. I didn't have any stomach problems. The first bottle was free (I didn't get past the first bottle).

Cons:

I think was allergic to it. For the first few weeks it wasn't causing any noticeable problems, but then after the 1st few weeks I suddenly got hit with symptoms. I broke out in a rash of red dots on my stomach which started to spread to my back. I had the rash for a few days and it started getting worse. Then one night I had lower back pain and then I got a terrible headache, a fever and chills, and a sore throat. Fever lasted 2 days. The rash faded about 4 days after I stopped taking it.

If you have an acne problem it's worth trying. It seems to work fast, and I didn't have stomach problems like I do now that I'm on cephalexin. As far as I know the reaction I had wasn't common.
