Pros:

i can't really tell - i was using tazorac as well

Cons:

-i had a really bad allergic reaction (that lasted for DAYS - not to mention, my first ever!)
-cost: my derm gave me a discount card which saved me $25 (i paid $25) so the total cost without the discount is a bit too pricey for me

it made me itch a bit the first 3 days or so after taking it - then all hell broke loose. about 3-4 weeks into it with no itching (and about 4 pills from finishing) i began getting this horrid itch all over my body. every inch of me itched terribly - my scalp, arms, legs, feet, hands, AHEM.. all over. anyway, the itching didn't completely vanish until 4-5 days after i had stopped taking it. i would definitely be scared to take that stuff again. i'd like to say that tazorac is what actually helped. i have mixed feelings about this med so i recommend it if you don't think you will have a bad reaction (i didn't know i was allergic to anything until i tried this) otherwise, use caution.

Pros:

I noticed my skin clearing up almost immediately. After a couple of weeks I could definitely tell a difference. I ran out for a few days and did have a small breakout but I am using a prescription face wash as well which has helped.

Cons:

Affordability will be an issue after my coupon. I refuse to pay $500 for any skin medicine. Beyond ridiculous.

I would reccomend it. I dont have any side effects at all, everything is normal except my skin is better. Which is the whole point. :)

Pros:

None =[

Cons:

This acutally made my face break out worse than it ever has before. By acne was always mild, but i was looking to improve it, and this product just made it worse!!! I also found myself feeling tired alot...

Wouldn't reccommend it

Pros:

I've only been taking it for 3 weeks but I have not seen much improvement yet. But I'm still waiting and hoping

Cons:

Ever since I started taking the drug I've gained 2-3 lbs a week. It has also given me strong cravings and a big appetite. I am worried that if I continue to take the medication it I will only get heavier!

Still waiting to see if the Pills have any affect on my acne. And hoping the Craving and Big Appetite will go away soon.

Pros:

My doctor gave me a card and it cost $0. That doesn't seem right.

Cons:

weight gain

The product works. I totally cleared up after 3 months and am still taking it. Will have a physical to check liver this month.

Pros:

No side effects. No interactions with other meds that i take and most other meds in general that my pharmicisy said. But always double check on your own

Cons:

It does help to a degree. I've taken it for almost 3 months there has been improvement but my back is not the smooth acne free like most other guys. There are still some stubborn acne that just wont go away as of yet.

If you have insurance with a minimal co pay go for it there are very few side effects plus they have these cards that you give to your pharmacist and they greatly reduce if not eliminate the co pay. I just take it in the a.m. My dermatologist says its improved which it has. But he is more optomistic than i am. And he gave me 6 refills even though its not recommended for more than 3 months but in many cases the Dr can increase the recomended dosage bases on your particular condition. Eeeeeeeeeeeeh if your Dem thinks its what you need go for it. There is also a generic version "Minocycline" Which is much more affordable. And solodyn is really and extended release for Minocycline. Talk to your Dem about that. Its the same thing you may just hace to take it like twice aday thats all.

Pros:

Doctor gave me a rebate card so it cost me only 10 bucks.

Cons:

VERY expensive if you do not have rebate card. I found it did nothing.

My derm told me to use solodyn for max 3 months. I did and am now off. I feel it did not clear up my skin at all. Not sure if I should ask her to continue to use it past 3 months. Maybe it takes longer than I think to see results.

Pros:

IT WORKS!!! Within a few weeks my severe cystic acne started clearing up!

Cons:

ITS SO EXPENSIVE! This drug costs over $400 and insurance dosent cover most of it. It also makes your skin very sensitive to the sun.

This drug really works. It takes a few weeks to start helping, but when it starts working its like a miracle. It costs ridiculous too much, but if you can afford it, its totally worth it. You have to refill the product all 3 times to get full effect.
