Pros:

+ soft skin!
+ no pimples
+ no redness
+ MIRACLE CURE

Cons:

- stinging
- lightens skin
- makes skin more sensitive to sunburn

Works beautifully! Takes at least a week for the full effects to set in, and a couple new pimples formed until then, but otherwise using lemon juice is extremely effective.

Pros:

-Smells very nice and refreshing
-Acne scars and pimples fade away over time
-Quick & easy to apply on
-Cheap
-Works for body acne as well

Cons:

-Can sting/initially irritate the skin

Cutting up a whole lemon into 1 inch bits will help extract as much juice as possible. I often use a cotton ball for wiping across my face and/or a Q-tip for dabbing lemon juice directly on a larger pimple once a day. Other people have said to wash after 15 minutes, but I prefer to keep the juice on overnight until I wash with a light acne soap bar the next day. My pimples (and scars!) have certainly made progress after a week. They're obviously not entirely gone, but I can definitely see progress after such a short period of time. Luckily I haven't gone through the laborious process of trying over the counter products and such, but lemon juice has been one of my most helpful natural treatments! I hope it serves you all just as well.

Pros:

Fades acne scars!
Prevents future breakouts
Clears skin

Cons:

May take awhile to see improvement
May sting at first
If left on overnight it can cause the skin to peel

At first I was discouraged because I didn't see immediate improvement in my acne or in my acne scars. However in combination to drinking this (lemon juice mixed with water, do not drink it pure, you must dilute it with water) at least once a day and applying it to my face, I have noticed that my acne scars which I have had for at least a few months have started to heal within a few weeks of continuous use. Because of hormones I would have a few large pimples every now and then. I recently had to battle with a large one on my cheek and while it subsided, it left a dark scar. I started applying this on my face throughout the day for the past three days and what inspired me to write this review is that this scar has faded to a considerable level! I have been using it for only a month so i'm not sure if it completely fades acne scars but I do know that they lighten them. So try it out! But be careful because some might find that their skin will be too sensitive for lemon juice so I would recommend just drinking a mixture of lemon juice and water instead (and drink through a straw to protect your teeth enamel). As a warning even though I don't have sensitive skin, I have super oily skin, I did experience a considerable stinging sensation when I first tried it so take it easy at first and wash it off after a few minutes or so and gradually build up to leaving it on for a few hours, but I wouldn't recommend leaving it on overnight. Good luck with lemons and if you're looking for something else to drink then check out drinking Green Tea which also has many skin benefits.

Pros:

Significantly reduced acne
Toned texture of skin pigmentation
Cleaned up my skin drastically

Cons:

Irritates skin if not hydrated with Bio-Oil (oil)

NIGHT: After washing my face with a mild face wash, I pat dry. I then squeeze lemon juice onto the palm of my hands/cotton and rub it onto my face and let it dry. I do this a few times to make sure it gets into the infected acne areas. To make sure my skin does not become irritated, I put 3-5 drops of Bio-Oil(helps scars, uneven skin tone, aging skin, DEHYDRATED skin) into the palm of my hands and rub it onto my face. Leave on overnight. MORNING: I wash my face with mild face wash & pat dry. I put 3 drops of Bio-Oil(helps scars, ) into the palm of my hands and rub it onto my face. 5 mins later, I put on SPF 55 sunscreen, and mineral based make-up, if necessary. This combination and routine has worked wonders. My skin is so soft and drastically improving. I have spent so much money on acne products and nothing has worked as efficient as this. I hope this works for you, Good luck!!! Thanks to this web forum :)

Pros:

Without a doubt 100 percent yes clears skin

Cons:

None man

soak face with *hot* wet towel or paper towel as hot as you can take to open your pores Take a lemon from the fridge, squeeze some lemon juice into your skin rinse face with cold water Within the first few tries you'll notice that it doesnt ''help'' with acne, but completely get's rid of it, and makes your skin look HEALTHY, you really do get this weird ''glow'' I can't emphasize this enough. FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS, don't use stupid chemichals on your skin, you're skin is something NATURAL, so it only makes sense to use something NATURAL

Pros:

-clears up existing and forming acne
-reduced redness after first application
-looks like it's helping heal scars faster too

Cons:

-dries sticky so I wash it off before going out

I've been applying lemon juice on the most acne-prone spots on my face for the past 3 weeks and it has made a world of difference! This has worked better than every other acne medication I've tried (except Accutane, which eventually cleared up my entire face, but then my acne came back 3 years later). Since I don't want to deal with the side effects of Accutane again, I've been trying everything and am so happy I decided to try this. My face isn't 100% clear (although it keeps getting better, so maybe it will be eventually) but is much, much better than it was before I started using lemon juice. I usually apply it in the morning after washing my face, leave it on for about an hour, then rinse it off and apply moisturizer. I'm very happy with the results so far.

Pros:

Reduces redness
Prevents most acne forming
Makes skin smooth and evens skin complexion

Cons:

Just stings a little but hey it's worth it!

I have only been using this for a week and results are looking good. I have had post acne red marks on my chin now for about a year and nothing seemed to be helping them. At night I wash my face with a clearasil skin perfecting wash that contains a moisturiser. I then pat my face dry and wait around 15 minutes before doing anything else. After this I squeeze a lemon onto a cotton bud and apply it to my whole face and neck area. I then leave it on over night and wash it off the next morning with cold water. This method has worked well on me so if you also have red acne marks I would definitely recommend giving this product a go :)
