Pros:

lightens skin
good alt to chemical exfoliant
cheap
no prescription or dr visit needed
fast results

Cons:

may cause irritation
redness
may over peel skin

1st used this on my face for acne scars (flat , smooth texture, not raised), it exfoliates well but at the 3rd day of usage put a hole in my face. HOWEVER when it healed it didn't leave a scar or pigmentation and was actually perfectly smooth. So I think someone with cystic acne would have much better results than I did, with regular usage. I now use it 1x a week just as a natural peel. Also wanted to mention I do use it more often on my knees and elbows and they are so smooth and beautiful. Bottom line is it is definitely something you should at least try. You don't need a prescription or office visit, very cheap, and you will know very quickly whether or not it will work for you unlike some washes and medications that take a few weeks or even months to see results. Even if it doesn't work for you, you would not have wasted much time or money.

Pros:

works amazing for age spots, acne, red brown scarring, pigmentation problems, uneven skin tone, stretch marks, unwanted freckles etc

Cons:

none really, nothing but i bit of stinging and maybe itching for a minute or so

i have tried loads of treatments to sort out my really bad red scars from acne, and i see that there are so many people that are wanting to treat theirs - i had such success that i want to tell everyone i can how great this stuff is! yeah it sounds silly but it does work. long story short- i tried loads of stupid expensive products that kind of worked but lemon juice works far better and is so cheap and natural, for more info. it wont get rid of raised skin scarring/ textured scars but it will help any color problems and fade away redness, its even great for stretch marks and freckles. just rub lemon juice on the red areas/ scars once or twice a day ( if the skin is not healed it will sting so i wouldnt suggest using until the wounds are healed up) and you should see good results from day 1 or day 2- the longer you use it for the better the results x hope this helps x

Pros:

I have been using this for about a week. I should say that I've had moderate acne my entire life and was previously on prescriptions from the dermatologist, tried expensive brands like Clinique, Dermalogica and also drug store brands. Nothing could clear my acne completely, I always had a few new breakouts and old acne scares. This cleared my skin of all breakouts within two days and my old scars (purplish) are beginning to fade. All this after one week, I'm clear for the first time in my life

Cons:

None for me...may sting if you have sensitive skin, but after all the treatments and prescription creams I've used my skin is pretty tough.

Use it! You won't be sorry, hands down the best treatment I've ever tried with the quickest, most visible results. Not to mention cheap...

Pros:

It Works ~ and Fast!

Cons:

Stings, itches

Try it! I have tried everything Proactive, Acutane, expensive brands, Acne Surgery, Epiduo, Trention, Clyndimycin, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, everything, and nothing works as well as lemon. when I first found this post I figured I would try it, but I did not expect results. I had just broken out bad too, so I was expecting it would take months for everything to clear up. However within the first 3 days I noticed amazing results!! My skin is now clear of all active breakouts. I have a few scars that are quickly healing but overall I am thrilled with the results. I am continuing to get acne surgeries, but less frequently. Hopefully, in a few months I will have the skin I always dreamed of. TRY IT!

Pros:

Lighting skin
fade spot marks
reduce spots
shrinks pores
reduce blackheads

Cons:

Stings a lot, especially if you have sensitive skin

It made my skin really light and faded some of my old spot scars =) made my pores smaller and my face was less oily. Dilute if you have sensitive skin and always remember to use an oil free moisturiser as it can be too drying. I urge you to get it a try!

Mix it with pure raw honey
I mix it with pure raw honey so it won't sting and leave it on my face for 15-30 minutes. Raw honey helps with acne as well. If it doesn't work, reconsider your diet and make sure you're drinking enough water per day. Also, make sure that you're using a natural moisturizer. I use raw virgin coconut oil as a moisturizer -- and no, it does NOT clog my pores. However, coconut oil helped me get rid of my acne.

Works well for acne and hyper-pigmentation
Due to my cycle, my skin recently broke out. It looked like I had severe acne, which was particularly concentrated on my right cheek. I'm currently working in a country where I don't speak the language, so going to a pharmacy or a doctor was out of the question. I bought some lemons from the local grocer and decided to give them a try. Every night I applied lemon juice to my cheek with a cotton pad. Occasionally it would sting at first, but I found my skin didn't dry out or react badly to the lemon juice. I did not dilute it and personally I haven't found any problems. Immediately my pimples improved and recent marks faded rapidly. I found it was not as effective on older hyper-pigmentation but I really don't care. I have no more pimples and the scars that were there have significantly faded. This was over the course of 1-2 weeks. I have very sensitive skin and I suffer from psoriasis on my body and scalp (although I obviously don't suggest putting lemon juice on broken skin). But if you're worried if your skin is too sensitive, it's worth giving it a try (at least once). I highly suggest giving it a go, but just be very careful about going out in the sun!

It works on the scars
I started using this and right on the next day i could see a difference. I have been using this to remove the scars left behind by the acne. For me 3-4 weeks would be enough to remove it completely and a week to fade away the redness. I cut a very thin slice of lemon and apply a drop of honey on it and rub the slice directly on the scars and leave it overnight. I also squeeze the juice out of the lemon slice to my scar and leave it overnight. It has been doing wonders for me. And the best part being a single lemon being used for more than a week.

amazing

Pros:

natural, cheap
fades scars fast
give you more radiant complexion

Cons:

may have made me broke out a little when using pure lemon juice

By far the best natural scar treatment, after years of using BP, retin a, and a ton of other harsh chemicals my complexion looked dead and worn out...and I still had acne and a few deep scars. after researching some natural products to fade scars I came across lemons. After a few DAYS there was a noticeable improvement in my scars and my honey complexion, my face seemed to glow. I have sensitive skin so using pure lemon juice without diluting it with water may have made me break out just a little. But I will continue to use if I ever wanted to boost my complexion or fade some dark spots fast, just will dilute with more water.

Pros:

Cleans pores

Reduces acne

Lightens scars

Cons:

Doesn't clear scars overnight

I boil a pot of water to open my pores. Sometimes I put tea tree oil for the extra benefits. I apply lemon juice on my face. Let the steam open my pores, allowing the lemon juice to soak in, then I apply lemon juice again on the open pores and steam for a little while longer. I do that a couple times a week. Otherwise, I apply lemon juice a few times throughout the day. My acne has majorly reduced. My face looks less congested. The tiny pimples that werent going away because they were caused by clogged pores are disappearing. My scars are healing faster, but no fast enough. This works for me.
