Lemon Juice (applied topically)

I wish I had tried this first - before the $$$ on dermatologist visits/treatments, and all sorts of over the counter products. I apply the juice (from fresh lemons - not the type in the bottle) with a q-tip to older marks first. When the old marks were gone I used a swab with a little (goes a long way) juice all over my face - after a couple of weeks my face was noticeably smoother and brighter. Caution - if the juice is on your face (even dried) and you go in the sun it will burn you!

Okay, I really didn't think this would work but I have only used the lemon juice three times and my skin is noticeably less oily and even toned. My scars are lighter, pores are somewhat smaller and it truly does make your skin "glow". I'm 25 and I have been suffering from acne for 10 years and this is the first time ever that I feel my skin has glowed and been less oily. I'm amazed! I have been applying fresh lemon juice all over my face with a cotton ball day and night. I do not wash it off. I'm very happy that it has been controlling my oil production during the day. Nothing has worked this well for me. Ever.

I never write reviews for products. But after trying this I had to share with everyone out there. I've had moderate acne for the past 4 years, it started my senior year of high school and just spiralled out of control ever since. I am now 21 and still suffer. Doctors and dermatologists have prescribed me everything short of accutane (which just isn't an option for me). After my mounting pile of failed products I decided to step away from Western medicine and synthetic cures and try some more holistic, natural remedies. I heard that applying lemon juice topically can significantly improve your skin quality very quickly. In addition to that, drinking lemon water is another way to calm and treat your acne internally. The acne.org regimen cleared up my acne about five months ago (thank GOD), so I've been tinkering with it to work through my post-acne hyperpigmentation and chronic dryness. The lemon juice (I'm using the Delano juice+oil in the lemon from the store) feels amazing, smells nice, lightened my skin over night, and surprisingly it has moisturized the flakes right off my face! I LOVE IT! I used to get really large nodules in my chin area. Sometimes even 2 or so at a time. They were very noticable and very painful. I have tried so many things, and I am extremely happy to say that this has been the one thing that has worked incredibly well for me, not only me, but my mother and my grandmother as well. It got rid of my nodules and acne very quickly! It makes pores much smaller, and tightens the skin. It smoothes out your skin. It lightens dark marks after a while. I definitely suggest you try it. The first thing you want to do is wash your face with warm water. I sliced a lemon thin squeeze the juice in a container. Use a cotton swab and put the juice all over my face. For the first 5-10 it WILL BURN but that means it's working. I kept it on for an hour and the results were amazing this will be something I do on a daily basis

So here's my scenario: It was 8 days until a big event, and I'd had some acne scars on my face since I can't remember when. They just wouldn't seem to go away. So every night, I applied pure lemon juice (not watered down at all) squeezed from a lemon to my face using little round cotton pads from the drug store. I let it sit for 15 minutes, then washed my face with a washcloth. After just 5 or 6 days, my scars were barely noticable!! My face looks perfectly clear now!! The only drawback is the sting, but I just grit my teeth and bear it, because it WORKS!

I've been using this remedy for 2 weeks and all I can say is that it works amazing! I used to have bumpy, inflamed skin. Both of my cheeks were covered with acne and a little bit on my chin and temples. Now, my acne are 50% smaller. It also lightened my scars. First, I cleanse my face using a regular cleanser. Then, I dip the cotton ball into my lemon mixture (50% lemon juice and 50% water) and gently rub into my face and leave it on overnight. It kills the bacteria and dries up the pimples.

I actually began using lemon juice for my acne scars. I put a dime size amount of lemon juice on a cotton ball and apply it to my entire face. I leave it on for about twenty minutes then rinse it off with warm water. It has visibly reduced my acne scars, some of which were quite deep and noticeable I might add. It has also made my face look more radiant. I do make sure to use moisturizer with it however because it does dry out areas of my face, but other than that, this method has helped a great deal in reducing the appearance of my acne scars =)

OMG amazing I tired it for the first time last night after washing my face i squeezed a quarter of lemon in a bowl and took a cotton ball and lightly swiped it across my face and left it on over night.woke up and notice a difference in my skin put it on again this morning after washing my face left it on for 5-10min rised it off and put lotion on and i can start to see more a difference love it going to do it again tonight :)
