unclogged my pores! and has healed my skin
I've recently started getting these really bad breakouts and a lot of bumps on my forehead, cheeks and chin area. I tried so many products including ones that were meant for acne which just made my skin irritated and breakouts worst. a friend told me that I should stop using products on my face all together and stick to a basic skin routine, and that helped so much. I stopped using moisturizers which I noticed were a huge cause for my breakouts. I steered clear of any oils even though I heard coconut oil was good. I only washed my face with purity cleanser & applied tea tree oil to acne prone areas. but my skin got super dry after I would wash it with just water, and I still had lots of clogged pores. after searching up stuff on the internet I heard jojoba oil was great for unclogging pores. I was sure that it would be something that wouldn't work for me and just cause more breakouts, but it didn't! my skin is completely smooth and areas where I used to have lots of clogged pores are completely cleared! I highly recommend using it as a cleanser for makeup too. I love it

How long did it take to get rid of your bumps/clogged pore?
May 27, 2011

Pros:

soft skin
REALLY reduces oily skin with frequent use
reduces swelling and painfull pimples
evens out skin tone
reduces some scars with frequent use

Cons:

horrible initial breakout

LOVE IT however the hard part is pushing on through the initial breakout, i stuck with it and now i only have 1 active pimple on my face i both cleanse and moisterise with it, my skin is neither dry nor oily, i think i can officially say i have normal skin now! breakout takes about 3 days to develop and about 2 weeks to clear up depending on how much junk was hidden underneath your skin

How long did it take for the IB to be over?  I'm week 2 and breaking out?

November 27, 2010

Pros:

did feel nice as a moisturizer

Cons:

sorry... it made me break out

I wanted something for my hair actually. I would use it after I got out of the shower and massage it thru my long hair. I also used it on my face. At first, I was really happy thinking it wasn't a problem but after a week or two my back, neck, and chest started breaking out like crazy. I stopped using it and cleared back up.

Pros:

Multi-purpose
Effective
Natural

Cons:

None

This is a multi purpose miracle oil! I used it for face, body, hair, scalp and cuticles. Effective on every part mentioned. Face - I have acne on my forehead and very oil skin. After reading the reviews of the "purging stage", I would not dare to use too much of the oil on my skin. So I pat two drop on my face on the first day - it gets absorbs and my face is not greasy. On the second day, I pat 3 drops and it gets absorbs! It may seem a little oily after application, but it gets absorbed quickly and somehow, my face is not as oily after some time, as compared to when I use no moisturiser or no jojoba oil. I guess the tip from me is not to use too much and jus PAT, and not to rub in the oil. Now, I pat about 3 drops on top of my day moisturiser and about 5 drops for the night. I am using Dan's regimen to save my face from acne, and I think jojoba oil by itself would not cure acne. It just helps the flaking and the regulation of oil production. Hair - After applying a thin layer to my hair, it felt like my hair when I was a child. No damaged feeling from all the colouring, perming, straightening. Try it! Its really good! Much better than olive oil because I feel jojoba oil gets abosrbed and hair feels soft and olive oil just stays on the hair and feels oily. Cuticles - I have very dry cuticles and also a very bad habit of peeling my dried cuticles. After rubbing the oil onto my cuticles, all the dry cuticles disappear! Its v convenient too, I will rub the oil onto my cuticles before applying it to my hair. No wastage. :D My! Why haven I discovered this oil in the past! Try it! If you are worried, start with a little on the face. Even if it does not work for the face, it will for the hair and cuticles. It will definitely be a staple on my skincare regime. Think of all the $ saved on hair serum and skin moisturisers and cuticle cream. Best part is, it works! :)

Pros:

Reduces redness, reduces pimple inflammation, reduces oil production.

Cons:

Can temporarily cause existing acne to surface. May be too oily to wear during daytime for some people.

Jojoba is great! It made some existing acne surface during the first week, but I didn't experience a major breakout. Since using it for a couple weeks I've noticed less acne, less oily skin and a more even completion. I highly recommend this product, even if you break out during the first week, don't give up.

Pros:

My face has been clearer than it has been for a year and a half since using for only 2 weeks

Cons:

None

I have never posted a review before, but I felt i must for jojboa oil so i can help people like me. I have had acne since getting off the pill about a year and half ago which has been constant, i always had at least one or two spots on my face and bottom line is - i never a clear complexion. Tried a lot of over the counter medications (I am a pharmacist) but nothing seemed to help and just aggravated my face into a dry mess. Anywho, so I tried jojoba oil after reading the recommendations and it's only been two weeks but i haven't had ONE spot since using it. Very thrilled. And i have oily skin, but as everyone has said it hasn't been a problem. In fact, before using i used to wake up with a lot of oil on my face and that hasnt happened since using the jojoba. So i cannot recommend it enough. Hope this helps someone.

Pros:

+ does not clog pores
+ sinks into skin
+ moisturizes skin
+ makes skin soft
+ heals scars and red marks from acne
+ great as a makeup remover

Cons:

- needs time for sinking into skin

Jojoba oil is a must have! No matter your skin type, you should really benefit from putting only couple of drops into your moisturizer. Jojoba oil is great as a makeup remover, it takes everything off better than any other product. It did make my skin soft and touchable after some time of using it, and it was never a cause for my breakouts. I have been using it for more than a year now and it has never failed me. :)

Pros:

- Makes skin glow.

- Gets rid of acne.

- NATURAL!

Cons:

- Doesn't travel well (leaks/seeps easily)

- Seems pricey, but you only need 3-6 drops a day.

6 months ago I had huge (some larger than a quarter), deep pustules all over my face. Sudden adult on-set acne. Washed with Kirk's Castile (via Clarisonic), then with BP and Jojoba for moisturizer after my shower. In 2 months I my face was 75% back to normal. Today, my face is 100% and has been for at least 2 1/2 months. I've even stopped using BP. It's the Jojoba that stops the acne from forming. This stuff saved my life.

Pros:

Very moisturizing
Turns any facial lotion into rich moisturizing cream

Cons:

Oily

I put 2-3 drops of jojoba oil in my lotion and use it at night. The next morning my skin feels soft and moisturized. It is also great for cuticle care. I use what's left on my cuticles and hands, and they are plump and perfect! It did not break me out, and it reduced oil production in the daytime. All around great :) Be sure to only use 100% pure organic jojoba oil!

Skin Softener
Scar Reducer

Cons:

Oily at first
Initial Learning Curve

I use this product once daily, and I must say that the combination of this and Raw African Black Soap have done wonders. I only use two drops and apply with a small amount of distilled water. My routine is as follows: Morning: Wash with African Black Soap in Shower Dry with paper towel (unless you're using a new towel every time you wash your face, soft towels grow germs) Mist with my little spray bottle of distilled water (beautician bottle...I sometimes put a little aloe vera in there depending on my mood) Take two drops of Jojoba oil and apply on my slightly moistened face kinda as a moisture sealant Evening: Wash with Raw African Black Soap Spray my mist 1 drop of Jojoba Works for me, skin is supple clear and pores are reduced. Let me tell you, for me, Neutrogena is the devil. My skin turned into what looked like cornflakes if you can picture that. I had never had acne that severe...EVER. Sometimes you can give yourself cosmetic acne. If you find that the jojoba doesn't work for you, don't jump into another routine just yet. Start washing with clear water for a bit, then add Apple Cider Vinegar and use baking soda to spot treat. K.I.S.S. principle works with acne too. Check Youtube reviews on African Black Soap.
