Jojoba Oil

I wish I found this years ago! I was always afraid of putting oil on my face; I thought my skin would get worse! I bought because I couldn't control the flaking that comes with BP's initial use with moisturizer alone. The best way to use it for me is to smooth a thin layer of oil over my face directly after washing my face and before treatment or moisturizer. The oil keeps the treatment from stinging and since it's a "carrier" oil, I believe it helps to draw the treatment and moisturizer deeper into my skin. I keep some at my workplace where we oil our hands before lotioning and that has made a huge difference in the healing of our skin. And Dan's jojoba is half the price compared to local stores. Highly recommended!

I was very hesitant when buying this, I thought to myself "how can oil help control oil??" I was pleasantly surprised It has helped a lot. My skin is a lolt softer, I see less blackheads, my scars are fading, and my pores are smaller. I use it at night instead of a moisturizer. I apply about five or six drops on a cotton ball and swipe around face especailly in the areas where i tend to breakout frequently. I only use it a night though because it tends to make your skin look shiney. It's also great as a lip balm and for hair. It took me a while to find it though, I am using the Now brand and I managed to locate it in a local health food store. The only real con i had with it was when I first started using it, it made me skin itchy. But that only lasted for about a week. I think it was worth it.

I was skeptical of everyone who was posting reviews after using this for such a short period of time, and scared this was going to cause a break out so I let it sit in my cabinet a few days before I tried it. However, this is the third day I've used it and I can say that it's been amazing. I have hormonal acne and nothing, absolutely nothing, has worked for me, but this seems to really be helping. I combined mine with tea tree oil and a little bit of lavender and I love the way it makes my skin feel. I noticed that my pores shrunk, blackheads on my nose that I've had for 10 years are shrinking fast, the redness is down, and spots I've had for a long time are shrinking, it's also helping with the post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. This combination seems to be working as a moisturizer, as a way to heal my acne, prevent more acne, and surprisingly as a toner too. My overall skin tone is much more even and my skin where there aren't any breakouts to heal is actually glowing. I love it!

Jojoba oil is extremely non-comedogenic and beneficial for acne-prone skin. It's known for dissolving oils from hair, dirt, makeup, etc. It completely unclog the pores. It's also the most similar oil to our skin's natural sebum which balances oil production. I use jojoba as a makeup remover by putting several drops on a cotton cosmetic pad and wiping it over all areas of my face, especially my forehead. Then I massage it for a minute or two. I wash off the oil with a face cleanser, and then I use it as a part of my moisturizing regimen. Highly recommended!!!

I said to myself if it worked I would post this for another fellow acne sufferer because everyone should be aware of it. Two weeks ago I was searching for things to heal my face, just as I have for years and I ran into this message board. Im addicted now, even joined today. I saw the reviews majority being good so I bought it. I have the NOW 100% pure jojoba oil brand and nothing has ever produced better and quicker results. My skin tone is glowing, not shining, glowing from being even all around. I don't have bad acne but I suffer from scars which came from me "picking my face". It has been two weeks and I have not really had any problems. It shrunk my pores that were so annoying, slowed down oil also. My face is hardly ever oily. Who knew that oil could cure oily skin. My regimen is the following Morning Wash face with Anthony Logistics Glycolic Face wash (Glycolic acid is good for the skin research it) Pat dry or air dry and then rub a few drops into my palm and add my Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion in with it. VOILA! At night I use Neutrogena's Deep Clean Facial Cleaner which has Salicylic Acid. Air Dry/Blot and follow with a few drops of jojoba oil and Aveeno DML. It works. Please give it a try, it may solve your problems. I even massage it into my skin when damp and add it to my cleanser then rinse. Its amazing!!!

I have moved around my whole life so my skin and hair has been in so many different climates that finding the right product for hair and skin really changed dramatically with every place I moved. No matter what I would always break out. My acne progressed as I got older and eventually I was battling an extreme case of cystic acne. I was so depressed because I tried everything and spent hundreds of dollars trying to get my face back to normal. I was a poor college student at the time so money was a huge issue and I was spending it all on products for my face with out any results. Anyway long way short I started using jojoba oil on my face through the recommendation of a pharmacist. I haven't had any acne for over a year now. I use it straight, two drops (I always wash my hands before) at night and sometimes in the morning. When I travel to humid places I use it once every other day, and still works. Seems strange that an oil would clear acne but it has. Give it a try.

I have never in my whole life tried a better moisturiser before. I was skeptical about how putting oil will leave my skin matt. But when I apply the oil, I was amazed! It's so easy to spread, and it absorbs readily. And after a whole night out at the clubs, my skin still feels matt! You guys should give this a shot man. And one bottle last such a looong time. I only need 3 to 4 drops per usuage. I couldn't find the 100% jojoba oil, but I got one that's 90% jojoba, 10% vitamin E from Derma-E. And I think it works great as well.

coconut oil is the go to thing for just about everything these days, from split ends to heartbreak..... but when i tried it as a moisturizer, it left my face feeling super greeeeeazzzzzzey and oftentimes with break outs. i was skeptical when i ordered the jojoba oil with the rest of my acne regimen products, but i was pleasantly surprised. i use a few drops throughout my face followed by the moisturizer and it absorbs well into my skin yet leaves a healthy dewy glow. i tend to have very oily skin and somehow this seems to balance it all out. im very happy with this product. i should also mention a little goes a long way.

This causes me to get a few zits when I use it but I would rather have those than reptile skin.

This stuff is fantastic. I started the regimen using loads of Benzoyl Peroxide because I thought my skin could handle it - when the flaking and dryness got unbearable I bought a bottle of Jojoba oil and it works miracles. I use it generously before I go to bed, because using too much in the morning makes your skin really shiny. Also I think it may be helping to fade my red marks, which may be due to its high levels of Vitamin E. However I can't be certain about that, because i've also started taking zinc supplements. All in all a great product, highly recommended!
