Danger of yeast infection!
Using honey on the body is very dangerous because its sugar promotes yeast infections.
In concentrated form, the hydrogen peroxide keeps away yeast, but this no longer holds in diluted form. I used to use honey and caught a yeast/candida infection that caused severe pain when working in climatized (dry) air,
because the eyes were so dry and sensitive. It tooks months to find a cure and weeks of external Aspirin treatment to heal. NOT recommended.

great exfoliater
ok, so I went through a phase of trying to switch to natural remedies for my skin. I am a loooooooong time benzoyl peroxide user....proactive, clean and clear, the regimen, etc. i thibk my skin is damaged and simply needs it at this point. anyway, I used organic raw unfiltered local honey as a cleanser for a bit. I noticed my skin was hydrated and bright. it is very soothing, though you need to be gentle if it's unfiltered or you'll scrub yourself raw (done it.). it didn't really keep my breakouts at bay but honestly nothing has long term. I would recommend this as a healing mask occasionally or to use weekly as an exfoliater.

Sort of ... I THINK
Sometimes I think honey does help - but in combination with other methods... I use raw honey but let me say YUM IT TASTES TOO GOOD!

Loving the honey cleansing, but getting red cheeks...Any suggestions?
I have been honey cleansing for a month or so...love the results, but yesterday had to try a new face lotion...due to a diet with no oil...so my face got all red in the cheeks...assumed it was the lotion...but after honey cleansing today...my face is red again...Could the crystals in the honey be too harsh? My face is on fire!

i love it! makes my skin so soft
I was aprehensive about trying it but my friend did it and it worked wonders for her so i didn't see any harm in trying. Right after the first time my skin was so smooth i loved it and i also found that it helps a bit with scarring although i dont have many scars or pimples. I just use raw honey and it does its job, sometimes i spice it up and add other ingredients such as lemon juice or cinnamon. Very natural, no odor, only con is that it can be very sticky haha

Good scrub
I have cystic acne and am very skeptical about putting things on my face. This has made my acne scars lighter without breaking me out... Be sure to buy FDA organic.

honey and aspirin
I suffer from hormonal acne and I have not had any otc or prescribed meds that have worked consistently. Currently I use a honey and aspirin mask every other day when I have really bad flare ups which is 3 weeks out of the month it seems. And then spot treat with neosporin. I have a citric mask (purchased frok while foods) I use on the other days. Well this combo has really made a difference. So, if honey is not working by itself. Try it with aspirin.

Gets your skin glowing & probably reduces acne
Cons:
Doesn't help any acne
No help on scars
My skin is super sensitive & acne prone. I had a clear skin after a long time but had scars. And, in order to reduce the acne scars, I consulted the dermatologist. Much to my vain, after around 4 months of treatment, I started having big breakouts on my no-acne skin. I stopped all the treatment & stuck with honey mask. I sincerely applied honey for around 2 hours every day without a miss. I dint see any improvement on the acne or the scars, but, I dint see any new breakout either.
Honey, doesn't harm my skin. It makes it more smooth & shiny for sure. But, I am really not sure whether it reduces the acne growth / fades the scars.

Pros:
Makes skin softer
Makes scars go away
Inexpensive
Cons:
Sticky
Can't use overnight...
I started using honey this morning as a mask for 20 minutes, and I already see a difference. It is a small change, so I think patience is needed, but my skin is definitely softer. I will definitely continue using this treatment for a few weeks. I will post my results then. I have had acne for about 3 years now, and it's only on the right side of my face....but I can see a difference already, so I really hope this works! I eat limited gluten, 8 glasses of water, and don't eat junkfood!
Pros:
Makes skin glow
Probably tries to stop new breakouts
