Pros:

Miraculously fast results, using 2 TBSP. ground flaxseed a day (instead of oil), my horrible face acne cleared up within a week. It remains clear; scars are fading. Smooth skin, no dryness or redness!

Cons:

None; be creative with what you mix it with; try to never miss a day.

haven't used the oil, but ground flaxseed mixed in oatmeal, yogurt, applesauce, spaghetti sauce, soup, pancakes or whatever has been my miracle cure. I was also using Herpanacine, vitamins, and Proactiv, but never saw any results until I added ground flax. Then within 7 days the out-of-control acne was gone! I am a teenager and do not want to be without my flaxseed now.

Pros:

AWESOME. I use 2 tspns. internally follwed by water. Also 3 x's a week externally on my face. Very cheap as well. I get cysts 1 x a month and this stops that and I haven't gotten any new pimples. WOOHOO :) just give it a try.

Cons:

None so far.

I take the liquid kind, no the capsules and twice a day. I think it is great. give it a try, at the least just use it as a face moisturizer in the evening before bed and wake up to soft, healed skin. :)

Pros:

healths the skin that does not have spots on it

Cons:

Not really an acne cure, well atleast not yet anyway.

Ive been taking 2tbs a day for the last month and it doesnt cure acne at all but it does even out pores/scars and gives yr skin a nice glow. Im also taking 4 tbs or apple cider 50 mg of zink and I drink 2 cups or green tea a day, also I eat very healthy so could be combination of these things as well, so I guess theres a chance it doent do anything on its own. But on a side note its good for your health so definitely worth a try just for that.

Pros:

-Easy to take
-Dirt Cheap price!

Cons:

-Developed Rashes after 1 hour of taking this. I've never had a dry skin problem, and this made me itch.

I called my dermatologist and he told me that some people get an allergic reaction to Flaxseed oil, so perhaps I will try to fish-based omega 3 capsules instead. I've never had a skin problem to begin with, so I regret buying it!

Pros:

easy to take and you don't have to cake your face in creams or take a bunch of Rx pills

Cons:

The taste was a little difficult to get used to, but now I don't mind it at all. I got the lemon flavored from Spectrum.

It really works. Shocking for me since I'm 21 and have been going to dermatologists since I was 11. I've been prescribed everything from differin gel, retin-A, antibiotics and a Dr. even suggested accutane! I used it for about a week before I went to go get a hair cut and the hairdresser and I started talking about acne. She asked me "What are you using for your skin because it looks like it's healing?" This is the first time I had ever met the women and I was elated that my skin was actually making progress and it was noticable! I'm still using it every day. I try to space it out to a teaspoon every couple of hours (3 times a day). I still do get acne, but it's not the enormous cysts that I used to get. They only pop up after wearing makeup for too long or forgetting to take the flax seed oil consistently. I still have to stick to a routine (as i did with clearasil and neutrogena) but I'd rather it be a healthy one, rather than applying chemicals to my skin every

Pros:

I have tried this and find it has great results. After a year of testing vitamins I am now giving to my two teenage children too.

Cons:

Have been told capsules don't work so well but I found them ok but now changing to oil.

I have dedicated quite a few pages of my site [link removed] to acne and how vitmains have helped. Can send free documents I have to anyone who requests them. Take a look. No cost.

Pros:

I like flax seed it gives your body omega fatty acids thats good for skin improvement

Cons:

umm don't put flax seed oil on your face( think about it)

i had bad acne throughout high school, now that I am 24 my skin has a little damage to it; nothing that a good scrubbing process can not fix; but my skin today never really breaks out. I think that using flaxseed in your diet along with medication, ( i was persribed diffren gel and tetracycline) your skin will improve; do not use harsh treatments, eat healty, exercise and don't smoke (it makes a big difference) then you can see improvement. Treat your skin like you would a babies skin...never pop zits and never fret your skin will improve...best advice see a doctor, get on antibiotics and special creams...its really the only way to fight a extream breakout.

Pros:

Affordable and natural

Cons:

Has worked for me but I am trying to know why. Maybe the dosage...

I made me breakout even more. I tokk 1 tsp a day, then increased to 2 tsp. The acne was just horrible . Do you know why this happened. Was I taking too much?

Pros:

Incredible skin

Cons:

none!

I have tried everything from accutane to birth control to antibiotics to every single topical treatment, and nothing has worked better than flaxseed oil and probiotics taken together. I take two tablespoons of flaxseed oil a day (you can take up to a tablespoon for every 50 pounds of body weight, according to Udo Erasmus). The probiotics help to balance the good and bad bacteria in your body. I take capsules because I can't stand the taste or texture. I haven't head a whitehead in months now. It's also important to keep saturated fats low in your diet. These will clog your pores! And eat lots of vegetables and fruits for antioxidants!
