Pros:

Skin becomes brighter and smooth

Cons:

Tastes not so good. It has 14gms of Fat per srving.

I have been mixing 1 1/2 tbls of Flax Seed Oil with about the same amount of cottage cheese each morning. The estatician said to eat it on and empty stomach. While I am not willing to say that it is clearing my blemishes or preventing new ones, I can say that the overall health of my skin is improving. The skin that isn't blemished has definetly improved. Blemishes seem to be fading sooner, but I think its because of the creme the estatician gave me that she has made in Europe.

Pros:

I just started taking a couple of weeks ago and have noticed considerable improvement in my skin. I also have carpal tunnel (originally why I decided to give flax a try). It has helped manage the pain, however, I still experience some discomfort.

Cons:

None

I'm going to keep using. Hopefully, in time it will help with my inflamation related to Carpal Tunnel. My skin looks fantastic!

Pros:

Gives my skin vigour, and faster healing abilities. My face now produces enough oil, and does so more evenly. Acne seems to subside before it begins (no broken-skinned flare-ups).

Cons:

You have to be creative to include it in your diet; it tastes strangely with sweet foods, and must not be heated.

I'm a dry-skinned vegetarian, so this just plain makes sense. If your acne seems to spring from dis-balanced skin and slowness to heal, try it. I'm glad I'm not allergic! I won't eat non-vegetarian capsules, but really, having something that goes best on salads just makes me eat more healthily. As for non-vegetarians, the price is kind of high, so eating fish with other healthy oils might be more reasonable... but I recommend it to anyone who can afford it!

Pros:

It really helped to balance out the oil production in my skin. I have noticed great improvements in my skin since I started taking it.

Cons:

The taste is a little hard to get used to, but I take 2 Tbsp. of the highest lignan oil daily and chase it with a drink.

I am an esthetician in a medspa in chicago and I began using flax for it's health benefits. When I started noticing improvements in my skin I started having some of my client use it and I continue to see great results and improvements in their skin.

Flaxseed Oil helped reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It made my skin much softer and I can tell a difference in the condition of my hair. I think it's great!

Cons:

None

Use flaxseed oil in capsule form. They are easy to take and will make a positive difference in your skin.

Pros:

Didnt do much for my acne.

Its healthy for you but i have been taking ground flaxseed for months and i have seen no difference in my acne so i have now switched to fish oil and will see where it goes from there.

Pros:

NOOOOOO. my face started breaking out in horrible cysts, and i, stupidly, could not figure out why or what i had started doing differently. i had been taking flax and eating flax cereal for about 2 weeks for omegas.

Cons:

i am pretty sure this in what inflamed my skin.

maybe it works for some people, and i know omegas are good but you can get them other ways. did NOT work for me.

Acutane will ruin your liver. research it. It's HORRIBLE for you. Have fun. I guess a ruined liver is better than acne, since acne won't kill you. Wrong. Eat a diet rich in natural raw foods. fruits and vegetables. Lots of juice. The benefits of flax seed oil outweigh those of acutane tremendously. People have been using it for thousands of years for all sorts of ailments. Acne is not the worst thing in the world. Please find a cure that won't do damage to your internal organs.

Pros:

Cleared my skin and gave me a healthy glow - almost tan color. I stumbled on this after reading about the BUDWIG DIET, which is named after a German scientist (9 times nominated for the nobel prize). You must search this more! It's amazing.

Cons:

None

I'm reading the Budwig diet which has some major points. 1. You should mix flax oil with cottage cheese until there is no oil. There is a GOOD reason for this which i won't go into here. 2. You need to stop eating all partially hydrogenated oils. Otherwise the flax oil won't work. This is why I think some people are NOT having success or more acne. Read this website for more info - they claim it even cures cancer! No joke - must read: [link edited out]
