Pros:

Skin felt softer and smoother
Acne started to clear up
Good for heart

Cons:

None

I've been taking 2 pills in the morning and 2 after dinner for about a week now, and I've noticed my skin has gotten a lot better. My skin used to be really sensitive and I would be afraid to even touch my face in fear of irritating my skin and breaking out with pimples. I've tried over the counter stuff and benzaclin, and none of it really worked. It did nothing to prevent it and I still ended up getting pimples. After taking fish oil for about a week, I started to notice my skin looking smoother and less bumpy. Even after a week it made a huge difference. I definitely would recommend taking fish oil, it can't hurt and its good for you anyways.

Pros:

The only thing that cleared up my acne! Cheap, too. I buy the bottle of 90 pills for $8 from Trader Joe's.

Cons:

Fishy smell and fish burps from the pills can be avoided by putting the pills in the freezer.

I've tried everything and this is the only thing that has worked for me! My #1 recommendation: BE PATIENT. It took me 3 months of consistent use to see results, but it was totally worth it! I don't even wear foundation anymore - I'd been wearing foundation 24/7 since I was 13: I had to! Looking back at old pictures from 4 months ago, I don't even recognize my skin.

Pros:

Good for dewey, healthy, smooth skin. Good for your heart and lowering triglycerides. Made those bumps on the back of my arms completely disappear.

Cons:

None.

I think it is really important to stress taking a high quality fish oil supplement. I use nordic naturals ultimage omega and get 1280mg of pure omega 3s a day from it. Remember, fish oil is considered a dietary supplement and isn't regulated by the FDA, so there can be some nasty toxins in it if you buy cheap. I am not suprised to hear that a lot of people had worsened acne after taking cheap and polluted fish oil. If you are going to give this a shot, please buy a quality brand like nordic naturals and give it a month minimum to see results. You can expect to spend about $28 a month on quality fish oil.

Pros:

Shiny hair, strong nails, and glowing skin! Reduces acne a LOT!!! It's cheap!

Cons:

It's a little hard to remember to take them when you first start.

I have had acne for 9 years; I tried everything from proactiv to TONS of over the counter acne medications, and natural remedies. I am 19 and my hormones are going nuts causing the most severe breakouts I have hever had and I was beginning to feel really desperate(my face was covered in bumps and itching horribly) so I started doing intense research on acne to find out it's an inside thing, not an outside thing. I truly believe regulating your hormones is the best thing you can do for your acne. I have been using gnc lemon flavored fish oil pills for about two months now along with a 30 min cardiovascular workout everyday and my acne has calmed down so much! I have very sensitive skin, I can't moisturize or wear makeup(20 pimple breakout the next day). My skin has improved so much that I have been washing my face only once a day at night with PLAIN SOAP and my skin only has 3 pimples right now and it's that time of the month! Not only has my acne decreased, but the pimples I get now are less red and inflamed, they are whiteheads and blackheads that come right out without any sore created! My skin doesn't itch anymore, it's glowing and moisturized. I really recommend this, if your conecerned about mercury being in the pills, vitamin C kelates mercury out your body, so grab some OJ or eat an orange daily. =]

Pros:

Skin all over body feels extremely soft
Body acne (back, butt, and inner legs) almost completely gone
Blackheads on nose reduced
Pores shrank
Oil on T area reduced drastically (surprising!)
Mood significantly increased

Cons:

Quite honestly I haven't had any problems with fish oil

My results are over a 2 week period of taking fish oil pills. I am so happy with the result and will be taking these supplements for the rest of my life for sure. I have very odd skin, it's dry in places and oily in others, however it seems like these pills have balanced it all out. I mainly have body acne which is so extremely hard to get rid of but this has really helped me. I also cleanse with Spectro Gel which also gently helps to get rid of body acne. Definitely worth a try if you're desperate and are willing to try anything.

Pros:

Worked really fast, clear my acne, unclogged pores, lightened spots.

Cons:

I've had a couple fishy burps.

I drink a shot of apple cider vinegar, take 4- 1000mg fish oil tablets and 1 multivitamin with A,C,E selenium and zinc twice a day. The acv improved my complexion alot on its own. far fewer inflamed zits- a couple every couple weeks instead of every couple days. I added the fish oil and multivitamin and redness, post-acne marks have faded in just a few days and my pores are totally clearing and shrinking. over all tone has improves a bunch. I give most credit to the fich oil. I'm very happy with the results. I don't even wash my face with soap anymore. And my skin is far less oily. I'm very happy.

There's acctualy a twist to this. You need to know how much of omega3 you're really getting. I know that 10plus pills a day souds kind of a lot. But the truth is that the most pills (of lets say 1000mg) only contain about 20 to 50 % of actual omega 3 (and just a percentage of that amount is DHA and EPA). READ THE LABEL! You need to get around 3 to 4g of actual omega3, so if the percentage is 30 you'll need to take at least 10 pills a day. PS: try to get relatively clean omega3, because most is produced from fish living in contained waters. Also I understand it's wise to keep the level of EPA/ DHA around 3:1.

I would recommend this to anyone who has acne,I had acne for about a 1year 1/2 I was so scared of what people at school would think of my acne that somtimes i didnt even go to school but amazingly i found this and i also spent about 100$ on stupid products that dont even work,But the pills alone wont clear your acne,You might need to find a product that works with your skin and helps it.Im curentlly using these fish pills and Acnefree severe system

Pros:

+ Clearer, smoother skin.
+ Shinier hair (my hair is usually dull).
+ My joints seem to click less... I normally sound like a defective ball joint doll for some reason.

Cons:

- Icky aftertaste.
- Remembering to take them consistently!

Overall, I'd recommend people try fish oil if they haven't given it a bash yet - you never know until you try! I've found it has helped me, and in combination with zinc, it's had a tremendous impact on the overall condition of my skin, not just my acne. My skin is softer and smoother, and my complexion has evened out a fair bit. It's difficult to remember to take them, but I've found that setting two alarms on my phone is enough of a reminder. The fishy burps afterward aren't very sexy but if you take deodorized fish oil from a bottle you might be alright. I've gotten used to it, mostly. You generally won't see improvement for a little while but be patient, you're doing your body lots of favours by taking fish oil, especially if you're like me and you don't like to eat seafood.
