Pros:

Very Beneficial

Cons:

Not noticably great for acne

I've been taking this for so long that I am not sure if it has any effect on acne. But, what I do know s that Omega-3 is one of the most beneficial nutrients out there. It has been linked to preventing cholesterol problems, heart disease, arthritis, Alzhimers, depression, and even violent tendancies in one study. The US Institute of health has evidence for over 30 benefits of fish oil, and more are being discovered every day. So, you should take it.

Pros:

Helps Cardiovascular Health
Helps Memory
Helps Complexion
Helps Mood

Cons:

None for me so far

Ok, so I have moderate-moderately severe acne and not a very good complexion. I actually didn't start taking fish oil for anything like that, I just started taking it as a supplement myself since I figured it couldn't hurt and i was already taking a cleanse so it couldn't hurt. The kind I've been taking doesn't make you burp so you don't have to worry about the taste or random gross burps. Its been around a week maybe, and I noticed my complexion looking quite nice the last couple days and the one day I skipped taking it my complexion went back to looking not so great. Also, along with that I seem to be in a better mood and just feel better. So while it hasn't cleared my acne its made my skin overall better so I suggest just trying it.

Pros:

Many other health benefits! (Heart, eye, metabolism, and even shiny hair!)

Cons:

If not properly made, can become rancid, negatively affecting health.

I'm rating this based on what I've heard, not my own experience because I have only been taking these for a week. The reason why I'm posting, is to let readers know that I read some interesting things on several web pages on Fish Oil. I read that if not capsuled with an antioxidant, such as Vitamin E, the pills can become rancid, and in a shorter period of time than you might think! They should at the very least be made with d-alpha Tocopherol which although less effective (and less expensive) should prevent the pills from becoming rancid. I suggest spending a bit more in order to ensure protection from rancid oil. Just a warning, because it sounds fishy lol. Just be sure they are also purified, and contain deep sea fish, or have the fish specified. Also, Fish oil just makes sense to me because products that reduce inflammation in the skin are generally good for acne. Many acne sufferers are prescribed anit-biotics, which work to reduce inflammation, so this makes sense. I paid ten dollars on GNC softcaps 300mg per capsule.

Pros:

Reduces redness and inflammation. Evens skin tone and makes it soft.

Cons:

None.

All I can say is WOW. I have taken Carlson's Lab Very Finest Fish Oil for a month and my skin has improved significantly. I started taking 1 teaspoon every other day for seven days and slowly increased to two teaspoons a day (breakfast and dinner time). I didn't want to shock my system or whatver. Anyway, I totally suggest adding an oil-free moisturizer 20-30 minutes after BP, keep hydrated with water, and take fish oil! It truly works :)

Pros:

happier, more excited, and my skin feels so soft

Cons:

none

well i started taking fish oil like a week ago thinking that it would help my hair grow faster and it did help my hair and my skin, i dont have bad acne, i would just say that they are zits and pimples, i have them on my forhead, chin, and on the side of my lips, now ive tried proactive and avon products but they just made my face adicted to them and when i tried to stop using them myface would tighten up andhurtbadly, so right now i was my face with cetaphil in the shower at night and in the morning and take two softgels in the morning with my breakfast and two softgels at night with my dinner. i use the Nature Made brand cause thats what my mother bought me and she also takes fish oil. well i really hope that if your reading this and have a problem with acne that you at least try taking fish oil, i mean it cant hurt you!!!!!!!! :)

Pros:

Easy to use, works well

Cons:

Can be pricey, fish oil burps

Ive been on a regemin of fish oil pills (6-8 grams/day) and apple cider vinegar for about 2 weeks now and im truly convinced that there is a conspiracy involving dermatologists and the drug companies to keep these products a secret! Its been over 10 years of trying every cream, gel, and pill that the doctor ordered and fish oil is the only thing that has worked. Never once did a dermatologist tell me to take fish oil or use apple cider vinegar. Im looking forward to seeing more results in the coming weeks.

Pros:

-Skin appears to be more healthy
-Less acne breakouts
-cardiovascular health improved
-improved self esteem

Cons:

-can be difficult to swallow
-smells bad

I was looking through the reviews on fish oil on this site and I gave the product a try. I bought a big jar of fish oil which contains 350 softgels for about 10 bucks at Sam's club. My skin has gotten soft and smooth. My skin color also appears to be healthy. I jog fairly often, but now I am able to jog longer than before since taking the product. More importantly, my acne seems to have lessen. I still get a few break outs, but they aren't as bad as before. I get pimples like nodule which usually appears in different sections of my face. They have shrunken considerably. I recommend trying this product!!!

Pros:

It helps depression, and helps control skin tone and smoothness

Cons:

None..Just learn to over look the pill size. Hahahaha.

This is the only thing that has helped me after accutaine. I have had one big breakout from the weather changing (I think, or slacking on my dosage). I take about 3000mg a day, anything less causes my skin to dry and makes me prone to depression again.
