Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

Dries out skin. Made acne worse.

My derm said this was the best prescription out there. I got it in the beginning of July and now it's September and it probably has made my acne worse. And we already had picture day.

See ya later
I started this in September so about 5 months ago. As I was getting the odd spot hear and there and wanted to finally be rid of any spots. It's been horrible, I had a initial breakout but that hasn't stopped. When ever I put this on the next morning I'm so red, with like 4 new spots, and my red marks form older spots look so much more red. I just seen a different dermatologist today and she said come off it. There's less harsh ones she said. I could be reacting to it badly.

Pros:

Theoretically, it's a nice combo treatment - antibiotic + retinoid

Cons:

Did nothing to clear my acne
Expensive

Used this some years ago when I was living down south - it was prescribed by my GP who had no idea about skin but said lots of his patients liked it. It did nothing for me and was expensive, so I stopped after a few months.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Made skin very very oily, red, sticky, and break out terribly. Very expensive. My doctor gave me a free trial coupon, but even after insurance my cost would have been 155.24 if not for the coupon.

This is the worst product I have ever used. Even my dermatologist switched me immediately on my one month evaluation.

Pros:

- May work for people with dry skin.

Cons:

- Caused extremely oily skin.
- Did not diminish acne.

I used Ziana for a month. I remember at one point touching my face and being completely shocked by the amount of oil that appeared on my fingers. My skin has always been a bit dry, but this cream made my face practically ooze oil. Worse yet, my acne did not decrease (or increase). I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with oily skin or severe acne. I can't remember if it purged my skin, but my dermatologist warned me that it would.

Pros:

samples were free

Cons:

i never looked worse in my life

I went to the dermatologist for a spot on my face that he says is pre cancerous. so they used liquid nitrogen to freeze it. then i had two other blocked up pours that had to be basically seared with a hot poker. ok no problem. i was given two samples of Ziana to use as well. i dont have acne but i do get zits from time to time and i have large pores on my nose and above my cheeks an on my chin. the dr said that zina would help with the pores and i thought he said it would help to expose any other pre cancerous spots. so i began using the samples as directed. within 3 days i looked like a burn victim! a cyst formed on one side, huge red peeling spots around my mouth and the whole right side of my face peeled like a snake. it burned , part of it cracked and bled whenever i would eat. and i got huge swollen zits breaking out. i was so embarassed i didnt want to go to work. so i stopped Ziana and started using Polysporin to try and heal my face and nose, oh yea break outs on my nose too. It looks so bad that someone accused me of using Meth!! said my face is rotting off! The pharmacy called to see if i was going to pick up the script that was called in $472! i was given a discount card and its only going cost me $25 but i wouldnt want it for free. so 4 days of polysporin and cetaphyl and it almost back to normal but wow. definately not for me.

Pros:

works over night

Cons:

makes my skin super oily, really red and inflamed, still let breakouts happen [I'd have like,4 a week]

it doesn't work, evry night I'd "feather" it on and in the mornings wash off and I did so for about a year!

Not impressed.... Depressed.

Pros:

A lot of product in tube
free with rebate

Cons:

smells like yeast
makes skin greasy
did not help my acne

After failing many other acne treatments, including topicals and medications, my derm gave me this to try. When I first applied it, it smelled like yeast and felt overly greasy on my face. I told myself that I will give it a shot. I used for about a month and a half and saw absolutely no results. I have moderately severe cystic acne and this did nothing to help my acne while I was using it. It might have even caused my breakouts to get worse (but whose to say I wasn't just having a break out or the deep rooted stuff was coming up). I saw no results what so ever with the product and felt like I was handle over a tube or grease and for that reason, I gave this product one star.
