Pros:

-Cleared my face...which is all I care about

Cons:

-Dryness
-Redness but went away
-EXPENSIVE

I loved this product. It worked well for my skin and I noticed a total improvement. But now I cannot use this because it is over $120. Cannot afford BUT for those who can, I would recommend it.

Pros:

Clears up blemishes and really does reduce acne. It is very important though to use a mild face wash such as cetaphil. I was using one containing cylisic acid and it wasn't getting better until I switched.

Cons:

Will dry out skin. Using a good moisturizer is very important. Slight redness, the redness seemed to go away though. Depending on how bad your skin is infected when starting this you may break out worse. This gel goes deep to retrieve bacteria.

Stick with it for at least 2 months then decide if your skin has improved. Mine got much worse at first b/c the medication was getting all the bacteria out. Once your skin starts clearing up stick with it. Taking a break from using it is really bad.

Pros:

Clears acne (pretty much what we're looking for)
Fantabulous spot treatment

Cons:

Dries skin
Bleaches clothing

Benzaclin is basically benzoyl peroxide with a topical antibiotic (clindamycin). It works pretty great, especially as spot treatment, and *especially* if you use it with another product. I was prescribed this along with tretinoin and it's worked wonders. Benzaclin in the AM and tretinoin in the PM. I do believe that benzaclin was the reason I didn't really experience an initial breakout with tretinoin. The only downside really with benzaclin is that it tends to bleach clothing and pillowcases. I've actually lost a couple of shirts to this product, but it's a small price to pay for clear skin, as many, many acne-sufferers will agree. I don't really know at this point if benzaclin loses its effectiveness over time (although common sense suggests it might, due to the fact it contains an antibiotic). At this point, I am reluctant to change my regimen.

Pros:

Clears up skin somewhat

Cons:

dry skin
flaky
more breakouts where i never had them before

I like this product. but it dried out my skin too much. its brought out acne under my chin, where i never had it before. Bottom line is, i would get it to clear up existing acne but i would not use it to prevent it

Pros:

No odor. Easy to use. Seriously helps your acne. Pimples slowly fade away. It really helped me, I've really bad acne, and I've still a pretty long way to go, but it has dramatically helped.

Cons:

Redness. Dryness. Bleaches hair and clothes. If not consistent, it isn't really very effective.

This is a solid medicine, often perscribed. It works very well, it's not a miracle medicine. It takes time, as all acne medicines do, just be consistent and you'll see definite changes.
