Pros:

Worked quickly, I could tell that it was working right away. My skin became much clearer after a couple of weeks.

Cons:

The worst part about using this was that it dried out my skin. It also made my skin red when I first applied it, though the redness went away after about 30 minutes. Pricey. Also, it stopped working! That's the worst part.

I would recommend this product; it worked very well for me. Unfortunately, my skin eventually became immune to its effects and now I have to find something else to use. It was expensive, too, because my insurance didn't cover brand-name prescriptions. It works, it just didn't for forever for me.

Pros:

Benzaclin worked very quickly at clearing up my acne. I have only used it for a week and I am noticing a huge change. It also seems to prevent breakouts too.

Cons:

Benzaclin is drying out my face A LOT. even with the use of a very good moisturizer (Purpose)my face is still dry and flaky. It also burned the first few times I applied it.

Benzaclin worked very quickly for me, but that doesn't mean that it will for everyone. My dermo told me to be patient as it can take up to a month to work. So if you are using it and it isn't working dont give up hope. Also be prepared for driness! I love this product and would recommend it.

Pros:

it works really fast and gets rid of pimples, small bumps and redness

Cons:

really drys out skin

The first time i used Duac i was using Clearasil Ultra 100% face wash, and after 5 days my face started to peel. So i stopped using it. I recently realized that using Duac with 2% Salicylic Acid really irritates your skin. I started using Duac again about a week ago but this time with Cetephil gentle skin cleanser and Duac still dried my skin, but not as bad. Every morning and night i scrub my face with Clinique dramatically different moisturizer AND MY ACNE IS BASICALLY GONE. use this product.

Pros:

Got rid of my Acne FAST
Reduces Redness

Cons:

Extremely irritating the first few days.
Will bleach clothes
Drying (Moisturizer takes care of that though)
A little scared. Being an antibiotic, i'm really hoping it does not stop working.

I've been on the acne.org regimen for 3 years now. It worked very well and cleared my severe acne. However, the regimen did not clear my acne 100%. I still had several pimples on my jaw line and still broke out with cyst around twice a month. I finally went to the dermatologist We decided to give Banzaclin a try. After two weeks, my face was CLEAR. ZERO pimples. I started getting compliments too =D I did not have little pimples, I had pretty bad acne, cyst and everything. ALL GONE =) its been 7 weeks now, still clear. I do get one or two small pimples every now and then, but benzaclin takes care of that and disappear in 2 days. Im hoping for the best =D

Pros:

Cleared the spots and small bumps i had on my back

Cons:

Bleaches fabrics
Too strong for my face- terrible flaking, redness and burning.

This really helped the spots i started to get on my back after starting Yasmin. I also had skin like sandpaper which improved massively with Duac. I did find it way too harsh though on my face, which seems to be more sensitive. My skin became so flaky, red and sore and i had to stop after about 4 weeks as it looked so bad

Pros:

Worked well for a time, better than any other product. Free on the NHS. Simple and easy to apply

Cons:

Took 8 weeks to begin working, eventually stopped working, made face red.

After trying countless Oral antibiotics and Zineryt with no success, my doctor put me on Duac Cream. When I first used it it burnt my face (stinging, bright red), but after that first time never again. After 8 weeks (and almost giving up) it started working. It really cleared up my acne better than anything I had ever used before After around 2 years though, it has just stopped working for some reason, which is upsetting. The only other downfall is that it did make my face go very red and sensitive to washing/sunlight.

Pros:

this cleared up my skin within three months, just in time for spring and summer. people have come up to me and told me my skin looks amazing

Cons:

the first month was hell. my entire face was "snowing," as my doctor described. I could rub my face and a shower of dry skin would slough off my face. it was embarassing and makeup made me look even flakier

even though the first month will be filled with horrible dry skin and no sign of improvement, your skin eventually adjusts and start clearing completely. I dont remember a specific day it stopped, but the change was clear and my skin was finally beautiful. completely worth that one rough month.

Pros:

Works pretty fast about 2 weeks and stops you getting big painfull spots!

Cons:

Dries out skin in patches which shows up when you apply foundation or bronzer. Need to use a good oil free moisturizer! Also i do still get a few tiny spots.

I would 100% say give it a go for about 6 weeks and see if it works for you. Im so happy I tried it! I hope it keeps working and the acne doesn't come back!

Pros:

Clears up cystic acne

Cons:

Creates some mild redness
Dries skin

I'm in my early 40s and have battled cystic acne all my life. Since having kids 10 years ago, I've ignored all prescription treatments for my acne (basically gave up). Last week, my dr. gave me this "new" gel (I'd never tried it) and I've been using it as prescribed for 5 days now (twice a day, after cleansing). The cysts I had that were healing are much better - scarring is much less than it would have been. The cysts I had that were starting to appear never emerged. I have had one new cyst appear but it's definitely greatly reduced than what it would have been. I have had some flakiness/dryness around my skin and after a couple of days, I noticed my skin looks redder than normal (it's always somewhat red). A small price to pay to avoid getting the cysts to begin with! I'll be sticking with this lotion, although I may start to use a bit less each time. I only rated it a 4 because of the dryness and redness, but I'm hopeful that will go away after using the product for a while.

Pros:

Clears skin
Has benzyol peroxide in it

Cons:

Bleaches some fabrics
Drying
Expensive

The benzyol peroxide in Duac really helps clear skin fast. Salicylic acid never works for my skin, but benzyol peroxide does, so it's nice to have a product like this. It is very drying, but using a moisturizer (like Pond's) helps with that. Don't use this stuff around your eyes, it burns. The stuff can be expensive, but it works really well (for me at least).
