Pros:

its a good exfoliator
reduces redness
treats blemishes and its cheap

Cons:

messy
dries skin

i used to have moderate acne on my forehead and chin also blackheads on my nose. once i started using the aspirin mask my face was a lot smoother softer. My face hardly ever broke out and the redness went away. It can be messy sometimes and if i use it too often it dries out my skin (but thats what noncomedogenic moistureizers are for). i love it.

Pros:

really cheap and effective

Cons:

it can get quite messy but its worth it

i used proactive solotion for about 3 months and saw no apparent changes in my skin/ rather i noticed my skin tone worsening due to the benzoyl peroxide. aspirin mask makes skin so soft and really deep cleanses it leaving it smooth. however, it makes skin dry so do apply oil-free moisturiser.

Pros:

very effective and safe.

Cons:

can be messy, but it is not bad if you mix it with a bit of honey rather than using just using the aspirin and water mixture

Thanks to a new medicine I had to start 3 months ago, my skin reacted in a horrible acneform rash. white heads, cysts, flaky skin, you name it - it was BAD. Ive had good skin before this, so it was a shock to say the least. After trying every product possible, I decided to try the aspirin mask, thinking there is no way this could get worse so why not. I use this each morning before my shower (because as i said my skin is flaky so i have to remove the dead cells or my pores will clog) and Differin at night. So now, a month after starting the mask (and 2 after the Differin) my skin is mostly back to normal. I know the Differin helps but I really feel like the aspirin mask has helped to speed up the process as I saw a major improvement within a week of using this daily. My red marks are almost gone, and I have no new zits. This keeps my skin feeling so soft and refreshed I cant believe it. The difference between a month ago and today is 90% better. i LOVE the aspirin mask!

Pros:

Very affordable and easy to do.

Cons:

A little annoying to prepare.

I love the aspirin mask! I just tried it the past two nights and so far so good. I crushed about 5 aspirins, added a drop of water and a little honey. I have been using Proactiv for years and it gets expensive and now I feel like my skin has almost become dependent on it. I am still using the cleanser but I am glad I have found something so afforadable and I think it works better.

Pros:

cheap, skin is so smooth after, really does reduce redness and bump appearance

Cons:

having to wait for 20-30 minutes is kind of annoying because some of the aspirin flakes off but its definitely worth it!

Every night, I take about 10 aspirin in my hand and just put a few drops of water and smash them up in my hand. Then I rub it into my face and leave it for 20-30 minutes. Then, I rub off the excess aspirin but leave the powdery coat on my face overnight. Works great just a word to the wise, when wiping the excess off your face, don't inhale, the first night I was sneezing for hours after.

Pros:

cheap
easy
keeps you from having yet another bottle in the bathroom

Cons:

hard to crush, but I've read it is better to take 3-4 aspirin and put water on them and let it soak in

Take the aspirin, apply water and let absorb. Then, use on "spots". Wait 5-10 minutes. Apply the rest as a mask using a circular motion. I left it on another 5 minutes and rinsed. My skin feels really soft.

Pros:

feels soft and first time in a long time I've felt I've had my baby-soft face back. reduces redness for my hormonal acne and you instantly see results. works wonders to your money maker

Cons:

NOTHING, ZILCH!!

I'm 17 yrs old and about only 3 months ago, i started to break out with hormonal acne, i've used dermalogica cleansers and duac gels recommended by doctors and by far, this home remedy is the closest i've gotten back to perfect skin ;), im currently thinking about stopping the duac gel use and just using an aspirin mask every night instead. cheappp as and will last you long time.

Pros:

Cheap, WORKS!, easy to get hold of, Easy to do

Cons:

Can dry out skin if used too often, have to make it yourself, quite grainy texture (can come off your face if you touch it accidentally :S)

I have tried so many expensive products and this works better than any of them. I was a bit surprised at the consistency as I thought it would be more creamy but it is meant to be grainy (great for exfoliating). This definitely has improved my skin but just be careful not to use it too often. I did it every other day and started getting dry almost flaky bits of skin on my chin and cheeks. This could just be my sensitive skin but don't do it too often if you are worried about this. I do it twice a week. Also if you are taking paracetemol/aspirin for pain relief at the same time just be aware that your skin will absorb some aspirin. Not a lot but still - there is a possibility you could slightly overdose. But I don't think its that huge a deal with the amount that is absorbed.

Pros:

Easy, cheap, effective

Cons:

Messy, makes me sneezy

One of my preferred acne treatments. I take Spironolactone for my skin, but I still get break outs. So, I put 5-7 aspirins in a small dish, add some water until they dissolve, and gently rub in circles onto my face. I leave the mask on for 30 mins, rinse off/exfoliate gently at the same time, and go to bed! I use it every evening, and it is a little drying, but a moisturizer fixes that problem. People say you have to crush, but you don't have to. Water dissolves them! Also, people put all sorts of other things in the mask, but if you want, water + aspirin is just as effective.

Pros:

its amazing! Perfect solution for acne. I did it every day for the last 2 weeks and i have literally PERFECT skin!

Cons:

Its a bit odd when you go to the pharmacist or chemist and ask for 5 bottles of aspirin

GO down to your nearest drug store and ask them for aspirin. It is pure salicylic acid and will cure your acne no matter how bad. Gets rid of Spots, red marks and scars, but mostly red marks! and without the red marks, your skin looks SOOOOO much better. Be sure to add honey as it is an antiseptic along with a nice moisturiser and holds the aspirin mask on your face. USE IT!
