does it have to be asprin or will tylenol 3 work
just not sure how the codeine and caffeine in these pills would affect the skin?

Pros:

It didn't irritate my skin.

Cons:

Well, I tried it a few times and I never saw any improvement.

It's possible that it would work if I could manage to keep it on for longer. But as it is, it's so flaky that it falls off just from moving around.

Pros:

Can be used as a spot treatment (haven't tried it as a face mask).
Reduces size and redness of pimple

Cons:

Takes a few days to work on big ones
Slight stinging at first (first few minutes).

I had a crazy cyst on my cheek that I thought would never go away. As soon as I saw the cyst forming, I mixed a little water with uncoated aspirin. I then dabbed the paste onto the cyst and let it sit there for a few hours. I did this for a few days. By each day the cyst got smaller and smaller. Now the cyst is flat. It formed into two pimples during the process, but these two pimples have been greatly reduced. I still have a slight redmark, but it's flat now.

Pros:

Inexpensive, better than most OTC meds, I've tried everything else, why not use it.

Cons:

A little messy, (trying to get the right consistency). As with anything you use, be careful using this for an extended period of time, (that kinda worries me).

I have been using this for only couple of weeks, twice a week, I did read alot of reviews of the honey/aspirin mask and decided to give it a try. I also have "hormonal" acne and it is very difficult to get rid of. the mask makes my skin smoother after using, I am going to continue using this regimen for another couple of weeks and see what happens, so far I am still "bumping up" I only have this severe problem on my cheeks and chin. The rest of my skin looks pretty good, as I said, I will give this another couple of weeks, and write back on results. I also using the phisoderm acne facial gel wash, dickerson witch hazel and( tea tree oil/vitamin E mixture) on a cotton ball, after I do the honey mask. It feels very soothing and calms down the pain of acne which I find very annoying. I also use a warm towel to my face for a few minutes on the new acne to reduce pain. The vitamin E oil I 've heard is good for acne scarring. I've even used PROACTIV, too expensive, and abrasive.

Pros:

Reduces redness, softens skin, makes skin glow.

Cons:

can be drying if used too often.

I use an aspirin mask once every two days leave it on for ten minutes, wash and then I moisturize with jojoba oil since it can be quite drying. It really reduces pimple and redness. Love it. I also notice my skin has a nice glow to it.

Pros:

cheap & convenient

Cons:

potentially abrasive

Stupid me - I popped a HUGE painful whitehead on my lower cheek last night. I ended up doing some minor surgery when I discovered a SECOND smaller whitehead inside it, so needless to say this zit turned into a flaming red open wound on my face. 3% hydrogen peroxide turned the whole thing WHITE which looked even worse, so I scratched it off and slathered it in neosporin. By morning, there was a black scab on top of it. Tonight I smashed up 10 uncoated aspirin tablets and used just a few drops of water, leaving it on for 30 minutes. Umm - WOW. The wound, which had closed halfway during the day today, is now completely closed, but no scabbing whatsoever. It HEALED. The redness faded DRAMATICALLY - it is now less red than some of my healing scars. It looks like a measley pink mark on my face - it's unbelievable that this was a huge open crater just hours ago. I cannot believe the difference this has made. My skin feels insanely soft and my pores are invisible. Try this.

Aspirin Mask
I like to make an aspirin and clay mask. I dissolve 3-5 aspirin in water, then add bentonite clay and leave it on my face until it dries. My skin always looks pretty good the next day.

Pros:

Leaves face feeling baby soft* Makes skin glow and look less red*
Takes pain of inflamed pipmles away* Reduces size of pimples in very little time* Gets rid of oily spots

Cons:

Will be drying if Not used correctly* Smells wierd

I use this as an exfoliator and mask and i have to admit...Thist Stuff is WONDERFUL! My chin used to get breakouts (nothing serious a couple of whiteheads or an inflamed one once in awhile) But since usin this i have to say that my chin, forehead, and nose have cleared up wonderfully! It also made my skin extremely soft! If you have dry skin though you have to have the right mixture that will work for U... This is my own little recipe for my dry skin: *3 aspirin tablets *1 tsp of honey (makes it stay and has antibacterial properties) *A couple of drops of green tea and water *2-3 drops of EVOO (Great for makin skin soft also lessens redness or u could use jojoba oil) *2 pumps of cerave (Great stuff i <3 it!) Then i leave it on my face for 15 min and lightly rub off for the exfoliation Bottom line is you have to try it! Im soo glad i did:)

Pros:

*takes away redness
*reduce pimple size

Cons:

I sneeze alot when i have it on.

I use the aspirin mask anytime i have a big pimple. I sometimes use it when i wake up and leave it on till bedtime. If the pimple isnt as small as i like it to be i apply more aspirin and sleep with it on. Then rinse off in the morning! I love it. It works very welll with my skin.
