Cons:

It flakes, but thats no biggie :)

Pros:

Easy, cheap, effective

Cons:

?

I mix uncoated aspirin with honey powder and instead of water I use aloe juice or colloidal silver (antibacterial). Really great for reducing redness and inflammation. I like to use it after a high frequency session.

Pros:

Makes skin super smooth and brings acne flares down.

Cons:

Can be over-drying if used too much or too long on sensitive skin.

The salicylic acid in the aspirin is what does the trick. I've really come to love this treatment. :)

Pros:

reduces the redness of pimple
helps with blemishes

Cons:

nada

Just started using it, I only use 2 tablets of asprin, a dab of water and I put a little aloe vera gel on my finger and barley go over when I put the asprin on my face. Works really well and very cheap to buy. every 6 months am only out for aloe vera gel, asprin- that goes a long way...

Pros:

Works great when used consistently, face texture is much smoother, diminished blackhead & whiteheads, reduces redness, shortens length of pimples,

Cons:

You have to use constantly, if I forget one day I will break out

I'm almost 30 and have been battling severe acne since puberty. I have tried every over-the-counter thing you can think of. I've been on antibiotics and other perscribed medications. ASPRIN IS A MUST TRY! The only thing to ever slightly work for me was a Biore scrub with 2% salicylic acid. I was on acne.org searching for yet another remedy when I saw great reviews for Asprin. I was suprised to find out that salicylic acid is Asprin. The 2% put in some over-the-counter wash is equivalent to about 1/2 a baby asprin. I just needed a stronger dose. I put 6 to 8 asprins and a few drops of water in my hand. After a few seconds they will get soft enough to mush easily making a paste. I mix with my Biore scrub and scrub my face gently. I do this morning and night. As long as I use a moist. after I never have a probably with dryness. I'm not totally blemish free but I don't get as many and when I do they don't last as long. I also don't get those huge under the skin ones anymore! GIVE IT A TRY!

Pros:

Very cheap and easy to make paste.

Cons:

No noticeable changes.

This DID NOT work for me at all. I would have gotten the same results by just leaving my face alone. The redness was still there and maybe even redder the next morning. Ill try it again in a couple days. It also didnt shrink any of my pimples. After doing this, Ive literally tried everything but Accutane...Im so sick of this.

Great spot treatment for those pesky, painful, persistent pimples
I LOVE ASPIRIN FOR ACNE. I first came across aspirin masks in high school from an old school Michelle Phan video: [link edited out] I used them about 1-3 times a week and noticed they were having an immediate effect, with my overall complexion improving within 1-2 weeks and with the larger, cystic pimples shrinking pretty much right away. This makes sense considering the masks are a combination of salicylic acid, exfoliation, and if you add honey, moisturizer (all important soldiers in the war against acne). The masks did not, however, completely cure my acne, and after a while seemed to lose its initial magical effect. I think this is because not only was my skin getting somewhat used to/resistant to the salicylic acid, the mask was still very drying for my dehydrated skin, and the harsh grains of the aspirin were too strong of an exfoliant for my sensitive skin on top of that. However, this is still an amazing spot treatment for painful, pus-filled cystic acne that can last up to a month and cause dark marks for weeks after. Not only does it immediately calm the pain and dry up any oozing, it also reduced the size and redness and helps them heal a lot faster. Since I'm going for the full drying effect for these types of pimples, I'll usually skip the honey and just crush one aspirin with a droplet or two of water to make a paste, rub them on and around the pimple, and leave it there until dried (about 5 minutes). Then I'll wash it off, ICE that sh*t to calm the swelling even more, pat dry with a clean towel, and put on a thin layer of benzoyl peroxide. Sometimes I'll even pop an ibuprofen if it's an especially painful one, or put on a Nexcare Acne patch if it's an especially oozy one. Thank you, Aspirin.

I used the aspirin mask with honey - it was amazing, and I loved the smell of the honey. The gritty texture exfoliated my skin very nicely. My skin feels so smooth!
