Pros:

I saw a complete difference in my facial acne in 24 hours. I have adult acne on my lower cheecks and this soap has really calmed down the new pimples and healing and drying out the old pimples as well.

Cons:

a bit drying, but using the cetaphil lotion which is non comedogenic, no worries of new pimples.

Cheap, inexpensive way to treat acne. No more harsh acne products. No inflamed skin from multiple types of chemicals, just smooth clean skin.

Pros:

Does the job
Antibacterial
awesome

Cons:

Seems to stop working when it gets small

I will never use another soap for my face. This really helps stop the acne. Didn't dry me out, but it probably would if I didn't moisturize afterwords. I bought a soap saver holder so it doesn't sit in a puddle of water and it lasts longer. I really take my time when I use this..to make sure it's killing all the bacteria.

Pros:

No Scent
Gentle
Generates a good Lather
Anti-Bacterial

Cons:

None

I have been using this soap for about a month and a half. I have really noticed a difference in my acne. Compared to the other acne washes I've used (Acne.org cleanser, Neutrogena Grapefruit wash, Dove soap) I have noticed that this soap cleanser also really generates a good lather. A good lather leads to less touching to wash your face. I only wash my face for about 10 seconds and then i do 8 good rinses. I wash my face before bed and noticed if you don't use a moisturizer after you wash your face it wont irritate your skin as much, almost calming your acne in a way. I love this soap. I also wash my face with this when i wake up in the morning. Thats when i use a moisturizer . Im also using Tretinoin 0.025% gel and the combination seems to be working great. I would absolutely recommend this soap to anyone. Remember generate a good lather with it and only wash your face for 10 seconds or less. Your acne will calm after a couple weeks.

Pros:

face feel clean and healthy

Cons:

can be a bit drying..but just use moisturizer

I have been using this soap in the am followed by neutrogena healthy skin moisturizer. In the evening I cleanse with cerave cleanser wait 30 min then use retin a cream and follow with cerave lotion. My skin has become so soft and the healthiest its ever been. I have very oily skin with alot of black heads and white heads and this is the only thing that has helped. To stop acne you really need to use something both day and night and this soap is the only thing my face can tolerate since I have become so sensitive from using so much ace treatments. This is truly the best for me.

Pros:

This really really really helps with acne! It's amazing! And it doesn't dry out my face like salicylic acid does!

Cons:

Triclosan is bad for the environment.

So I wet my face and my hands. I rub the bar of soap all over my hands and get it super sudsy. Then i rub the suds all over my face and especially over my very bad areas of acne. I leave it on for about 10-15 minutes... and when I wash it off... it looks as if a few of my pimples literally melt away... either they are about half the size or the swelling went down and the white part on top came off. Its perfect, my routine is I do this lathering and leaving on twice in a row so that my pimples are smaller. Then I put on benzoyl peroxide. I am so happy I found this! I can't wait to use it for my back because it does wonders for my face!!!!!

Pros:

effective, smells good, leaves face clean and smooth, works on very oily skin

Cons:

none.

When I was a teen my dermatologist gave me free samples of cetaphil and I loved the stuff. Only down side is the liquid kind is a little costly for me. Decided to try this and WOW! Best stuff Ive used in my 23 years of life! Really seems to do the job. I have VERY oily skin and it gets embarassing. For a while I started to think I had the worst skin on Earth. Cetaphil does not dry my skin at all. Does not make it feel sticky or tight like some cleaners do. Some cleaners feel like they burn a little...this stuff doesnt feel like that! Just smooth and soft! Some people are commenting on the scent and I personally love it. Its very fresh.

Pros:

Clears acne
Hypoallergenic
Doesn't irritate eczema
Doesn't dry skin
Affordable

Cons:

None

This is a great product for anyone with acne and/or eczema. I've used this product as long as I can remember and have always had clear skin, with the exception of one period of time. I accidentally switched to the gental cleanser by cetaphil. It turns out I actually have terribly acne prone skin, but the antibacterial cetaphil had always kept it at bay. After switching back to the antibacterial bar my face cleared up within a week. I also have battled severe eczema my whole life. Cetaphil products are the only ones that don't cause flare ups. Bottom line- try it, it works! I made a profile just to write this review. Hope it helps someone out there.

Pros:

Smells Nice
Helps with Oil
Really Cleans
Removes makeup including mascara!

Cons:

A little drying/tighting of skin, but just use a moisturizer and it corrects it

So first, Let me tell you I created an account JUST to write a review for this product and I have tried lots of store bottles and lots of prescriptions. My battle with acne first started when I was a junior in high school and it was a sudden change from one to two pimples a week or so to my whole left cheek covered in deep pimples, then about a month later my right cheek broke out just as bad along with my chin. These were the bumps on your face that feel as though they are under the skin. I made it a point to not be in any photos it was so bad. I went to the Dermatologist and he gave me clyndamycin which I was allergic to and a benzoyl wash which dried my face out. So I went to another Dr. and he gave me differin and an antibiotic and Ortho Tri Cylin Lo which all helped tremendously! So by the middle of my senior year I was back to random small pimples. Later after a year of being off the antibiotics, my face started acting up just a little so he switched me from Differin to Tretinoin cream .075% which got my face back into check, after awhile he cut me back to .025% and my face was still fine. During my Sophomore year at college I decided to wean myself off of the tretinoin cream and just stick to a regime of clean & clear benzoyl 10% wash along with a apricot scrub which worked great. I don't know why but I guess I like to tempt fate so I thought it would be a good idea to switch to the clinque oily face rountine with wash, astrigent, and lotion during my second semester Junior year. WRONG! Sure it worked for a couple months but recently I noticed my face breaking out more and more which turned me into a panic and my old rountine (benzoyl & scrub) wasn't working so I started research and found awesome reviews for this Cetaphil bar, so I took a chance and the 8-10 underskin bumps that threatened to invade my senior year at college are now shrinking after only 2 days!! I couldn't be happier! I wash 2 or 3 times a day with this bar and my skin feels amazing!

Basically the same as Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar

Pros:

Inexpensive
Lasts a long time
Rich, thick lather

Cons:

Lingering scent

This bar is identical to the regular Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar but with .3% Triclosan added. Antibacterial ingredients like Triclosan when added to cleansers are more for label claim than anything since cleanser itself is antibacterial. I notice zero difference between the two bars when I use them. Here is my previous review I added for the regular Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar: The lather is truly rich and thick. This makes cleansing a super-low irritation experience since your hands glide so easily over the skin. The thick lather also works brilliantly as a shaving "cream." Overall, this bar does not leave me feeling overly dry. It does its job of removing surface oils without overstripping. However, it does have a distinct scent that sticks around. Long after I've left the shower and arrive at work, my hands still smell. Luckily it's not a horrible scent, but I would much prefer to not carry the scent along with me throughout my day.
