Pros:

that its easy to use

Cons:

if you stop using it for one day .. you will regret it

i only use this product for last result i need this bump to clear up now type situations .... i wouldn't use this product on my face everyday because its to harsh on your skin... like honestly the first few days you can tell a difference but then a good 2 weeks into the product it slowly start burning your face and irritates the skin to the point of insanity ... like is starts making your skin peel ... like plus it just smoothes your face and leaves the scars.... a lot of my scars on my face are due to proactive ... and it still leaves the black heads on your face as well .. i think if you have like crater ... cyst ... holes .. knots ... severe black heads .. whiteheads .. patches of bumps on your face like all that sh*t on your face then yeah use proactive but if you have light .. moderate acne don't use this product because it will lowkey make it worse because it'll leave all the scars and then you will have to go to the doctor like me and invest in lighting creams ...

Pros:

Cleared up most of my blackheads, nice texture and made my face smoother (through exfoliation).

Cons:

Made my face red, caused an overproduction of oil, and did not treat or prevent pimples.

Overall, while I used this my skin was better in some ways, worse in others. After two and a half weeks of use my face started breaking out in very large, painful cystic acne, which I almost never get, even when I'm not using anything medicated. I'd only recommend this to someone with fairly severe acne, as I think it would help, though not completely clear it up. I'm also a bit miffed by the company's assertion that you have to use it for 6-8 weeks for it to start working, which conveniently coincides with the bi-monthly shipments of new kits. In my opinion, if a product really is effective, then it should be sooner than that.

Pros:

kept skin clear while on the product

Cons:

LEFT SKIN HORRIBLE AFTER DONE USING

ok, so i tried proactiv for nearly 6 years and after a while i decided to slowly start using it...since afterall my skin appeared to be done with acne. However, after about 2 months the worst acne attack i could ever imagined popped up. I'm convinced that proactiv has something in it to make you "stuck" on the product so that you would have to keep buying it. now that im off the product i wish i would have never tried it in the first place. if you are considering this product...dont do it. trust me, i had to learn the hard way and words cant describe how i feel about this product. afterall, if it's true good to be true...it probably is.

Pros:

Not terrible. Works a little.

Cons:

Still had break outs. And with my extremely oily t-zone, the everyday scrub caused my skin to form a hard crust. I felt as if my skin couldn't breathe, not matter how much I washed it. Fortunately someone gave me a spa gift certificate, and an aesth

I don't mean to sound like an ad, but what worked for me is Clinique. Not much more than Proactiv and for me it worked. (And I've spent hundreds at med spas.) It worked so well, that even when I was lazy about all the steps and washing my face at night, it still worked. And I was so miserable and humiliated by acne, I didn't think anything would ever actually just work. Here are the issues that Clinique helped lazy me with (and they were really really bad): oily oily t-zone, cystic (huge!) acne, and enlarged, scarred pores. And Dan, your face looks fine. Where's the acne?

Pros:

Able to modify kits or order individual products

Cons:

Should be fragrance free since this is an acne product.

No one system works for everyone. My daughter and I fell for the advertisements of perfect skin that all acne companies make. Proactiv's claim is no different than what you hear from everyone else. Just because it doesn't work for one person does not mean it won't for someone else. My daughter has had good (not perfect) improvement with the three step program over two months but she is experiencing some leathery patches on her chin where acne has healed. We are going to cut out the repairing lotion to see if that helps with the dryness and sun sensitivity which differin and oral antibiotics caused (she uses the oil free moisture with SPF 15 but is outside everyday because of sports). The renewing cleanser contains a benzoyl peroxide formula which Proactiv states penetrates deep into the pores to attack bacteria helping to clear existing blemishes and prevent new ones from forming. Sounds just like the repairing lotion to me so both may be too much for some people.

Pros:

It stops acne from coming up

Cons:

it does nothing for the acne you already have
leaves a red rash on face

it isn't worth spending money on something that just stops acne from keep on comming but does nothing on all the acne you already have

Pros:

They always deliver on time. It worked great for the first week or so.

Cons:

I missed using it twice a day once and my face broke out something horrible. It started with these little bumps all over my face and turned into huge festering pimples (which i never had before hand). My face also started to burn and get dry

Buy the trial (it worked more than 30 days for me) and check it out for yourself. You might have better luck than I did. I spent way too much on this.

Pros:

smell, refining mask, reasonable price for 30-day kit which lasted well over 2 months

Cons:

only the refining mask made a difference, excessive dryness leading to peeling

I tried this product because I thought it would be the solution based on my friends' recommendations and of course the commercials. I was warned against buying the 30-day trial because it takes a while to kick in. The first few days of applying proactiv I noticed a difference in my skins texture, it was rougher looking which seemed promising. Soon that was replaced with peeling which was all the more cumbersome to put make-up over to cover the blemishes that were not diminishing! I did everything according to instruction except the first few weeks I forgot about the refining mask which turns out to be the only worthwhile piece of the kit! Apply it to a zit and sleep on it or wear it for 10 minutes like you're supposed to, my stubborn 3-month old blemishes did shrink! Oh, and the zits that did fade are still scars on my face. For now I've invested the trial line of Acne Solutions from Clinique and the post-blemish formula to go with that. Do trials to find out what work will for you!

Pros:

For me it started working the first day i used it. My sking was becoming to get clear within the 3 day.

Cons:

A slight burning sensation at first. Dries your sking.

Is an awesome product. I never had pimples until a few months ago, and when they came out it was really bad specially on my cheeks and my forehead. Once i started using proactiv, my skin became clearer since the first day i used it. Now i still get a few pimples from time to time but i just apply the refining mask and in a day or 2 gone =]
