Pros:

cleared acne

Cons:

very dry face, some areas would be a little white due to dryness and i would have to over moisturize just to get rid of that. it smells disgusting!!!if i use the cleanser, facialmask then toner then lotion like it says in the book.omg burned my face!

try it out and see what it does for you, if you start it stick to it daily otherwise you don't get the true results. I've bought my second case of the three step i only do it because I've tried everything else even bought a box of acne free product it didn't do anything. this seems to due something for me. i cant stand even a little acne

Pros:

Clears up existing acne quickly

Cons:

Dries out skin. Acne comes back with a rage if you stop using for a day.
Makes skin red and scars more noticable.

I hate this, It use to work for me when i was about 12, although i never had a acne problem back then. Now i guess it has no effect.

Pros:

Works better than other acne products I've tried

Cons:

I still get breakouts and sometimes large pimples

I have really oily acne prone skin. I've been using it for years and noticed and improvement in the amount of breakouts that I have. I still get breakouts but not as bad or as much as before. I can't say it's the best product out there but it's what I use until I find better. For those of you who are having such a severe reaction, are you possibly allergic to BP? I know people who are and they can't use this product.

Pros:

Got rid of most of my pimples within a week, kept my face consistently clear.

Cons:

Around my period I broke out with a few large, red pimples that took over a week to reduce in size.

I had minor acne when I started this product about 2 1/2 years ago. Within a week, my face began to clear up and I definitely noticed an improvement. However, I would normally get one or two large, annoying red pimples around my period that would take a long time to clear. After about a year, my face began to dry out, and began to flake, but I continued using it, scared to get off because of what I heard about stopping. At the beginning of the year (a few monthes ago), I stopped using this and began using Biore. However, I have broken out worse than I ever have and could have imagined after stopping. I have acne on my forehead, cheeks, chin and jawline - worse than before I even began using it. I'm afraid to start using proactiv again, but it may be my only way to clear up my acne.

Pros:

-Works on minor-moderate acne
-Refines skin texture
-Makes skin feel very "clean" and oil-free

Cons:

-Slightly drying
-Costly
-Not for long term use

If you are consistent and use it twice a day, it works pretty well. I noticed that after a few months it stopped working as well. Also, it has turned some of my acne a grayish-purple color. Not sure what this is about.... Bottom Line - it's worth a try. I the lotion is slightly drying and strong, but smooths the skin. Love using the mask.

Pros:

Smells good, seems to work, leaves face feeling clean and refreshed

Cons:

Has not significantly reduced the number of pimples on my face.

Proactive seems to work and I really enjoy how my face feels after I use the cleanser, toner, and lotion. However, I have only been using it for about 3 weeks so I am still is the beginning phase. I have heard that it will dry out your skin. If that happens, I was told to reduce usage to 1x a day instead of 2. All and all though, I am somewhat happy with the purchase.

Pros:

Stopped my big painful pimples, whiteheads and deep acne.

Cons:

Didn't clear up my blackheads or overall redness. It's more expensive than discount facial cleaner

I am 32 years old and have had moderate acne since I was 13. It was never so bad that I didn't want to leave the house, but I hated it. I tried a dermatologist twice and was given meds but they never worked. I tried Proactiv 6 months ago. I never get whiteheads any more. I never get the painful deep acne around my jawline anymore. I still get blackheads, but frankly who cares. The only thing I wish was that it would have lessed the redness of my face more. I still need to wear makeup most days. Sure, proactiv doesn't work for everyone but I am so glad that I tried it. As for the credit card charges...Proactiv is a membership. You will be charged every month. You agree to that before you pay the first time. If you want to end your membership you have to contact the company and your account will be cancelled. That's just the way memeberships work.

Pros:

Works great. Clears.

Cons:

Dries skin.

Bottom Line is people need to follow directions. This product does work. However if you are not allergic to BP it should work. Simply get some moisturizing cream of some sort and apply it to the facial areas which Proativ was used on. If you just let a powerful product settle on your face of course it's going to become a mess. READ DIRECTIONS AND USE COMMON SENSE WITH SUCH SUBSTANCES PEOPLE!

Pros:

It worked for me, cleared my skin in about 2 months (nothing I tried before worked..). My acne came back though about 3 mo after I stopped using it. Now i'm back on it!

Cons:

I don't have sensitive skin, and I can still feel that it is a little hard on skin. Be careful using it on the face. It's ok on the back. A little on the expensive side.

Doesn't work for everybody, but try it if you don't have sensitive skin.
