Pros:

cleared up most acne. convenient as it gets mailed to you every few months or so.

Cons:

i still get horrible deep breakouts once in a while. When i used the program 2 times a day in the winter, caused HORRIBLE flakes and stinging. and not all pimples went away. so flaky and pimply- eww. bleaches towels, bedding even some clothing.

This worked moderately well for me. CANNOT use it twice a day as recommended, so that could be why i'm not getting the amazing results other people are talking about. Too expensive and stinky!

Pros:

It cleared up some of my acne.

Cons:

It was too costly for my budget and my acne didn't go away completely like the people on the commercials. There was still some there but not as much.

CONS CONTINUED: There must be some kind of chemicals in the product that my skin was used to because when I stopped using it, MY SKIN GOT WORSE THAN IT EVER GOT IN MY LIFE! AND NOW I'M DYING TO FIND A CURE FOR ACNE! I DON'T WANT TO TAKE DANGEROUS PILLS I HERE ABOUT BECAUSE OF THEIR SIDE EFFECTS AND FACE CLEANSERS LEAVE YOUR SKIN HOOKED! THIS IS VERY DEPRESSING BECAUSE I HAVE TO WEAR MAKE-UP FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE UNTIL SOMEONE FINDS A CURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros:

Half way works.

Cons:

Time consuming if done properly. Can no longer go tanning - completely dries out my face after 1 session. For those who say it smells good -- your crazy -- this stuff smells like butt!

When I became pregnant with my daughter my hormones decided to screw with me. Instead of having that "pregnancy glow" my face, neck, shoulders, back ... everything... turned into a giant acne pizza. I had never suffered from acne before ... it was so gross. Pregnancy is suppose to be the most exciting time in a woman's life ... it was my most embarassing. I tried everything while I was pregnant, pro-activ included ... nothing worked. I finally realized that it was my hormones and there was nothing I could do about it until I popped that kid out! =) About a week after I had my daughter I decided to give proactiv another try. It worked for a few weeks and then I broke out again, really bad... but I stuck with it, and now I have clear skin. I get one small zit every few months, but that's about it ... and usually it's due to stress. Just remember - those are PAID ACTORS in the commercials. Your skin will NEVER look like theirs. Ever. Those people have been airbrushed.

Pros:

works quickly.

Cons:

pricey and I don't use all of the three steps. I only like the bp lotion because it glides on so easily and works for the first year. And then my skin got so dried out to a point where I can't even wear foundation any more!

I would recommend this to people, but I just ask them to see for themselves.

Pros:

it does an ok job of clearing up some of the acne

Cons:

funny people are saying its drying there face, mine seems to be more oily with this product. esp when i use the toner and lotion.

if you have bad acne its best to see a dermatologist. nothing is going to be a cure.

Pros:

helped my acne

Cons:

overdrying

At first I used all three Proactiv products twice a day like the instructions tell you to do, but my face became VERY dry! I was using a ton of moisturizer and my face was still dry. I decided not to give up and instead only use the cleanser twice a day and the other two products I only use every once in a while or when I have a break-out. My acne is not completely gone, but the Proactiv definitely helps and by using the products less my face is not so dry. My advice is to give it a try and if it is too drying or irritating to your skin, then just use it less and see what happens. Though my acne is not completely gone, I am still happy with Proactiv because it keeps me from breaking out so often and my skin is clearer and smoother.

Pros:

it worked well when it actually worked

Cons:

too high-maintenance and time-consuming, way too expensive for the quality of the product

i used this regimen for about 2 years. it took about a month to see any results and then i was relatively clear for a while. after about a year and a half it just stopped working and i got annoyed. who wants to pay that much when it no longer works?

Pros:

Gets rid of most acne and redness, skin looks even and has a smoother texture.

Cons:

Left my face very dry for the first few weeks, the bottles break easily. You have to avoid sunlight/ultraviolet exposure & therefore must also use a sunscreen.

Proactiv has worked well for me, although I can only use it once a day because it really dries out my face because of this I have to use a moisturiser after the repairing lotion. You may need to adjust the amount you use, and build up your usage slowly to avoid peeling/redness.
