Pros:

-clears up problems immediately if you aren't allergic
-keeps you looking flawless with consistent use
-very reliable when your chemistry is balanced with the medicine

Cons:

-skin gets worse when you stop
-your skin gets used to the product
-a bit too expensive when you need it and are broke

I just want to put my 2 cents here. I just turned 35. I never had acne as a teenager. I started getting acne around age 26-27? It was bad on my cheeks and chin, deep, big whiteheads, blackheads on my nose. Proactive was my acne knight in shining armor! I used it for almost 10 years, and decided I was tired of using and paying for it... my skin was clear, so I stopped. I'm starting to get those horrible deep pimples again, and around my period? I look like a volcano. It's so humiliating, after having had beautiful flawless skin for so long! I'm trying Clinque's acne solution right now, to see if it helps. OTC products do nothing for me. I have latina, white skin, pores not too big. I may try out the Proactive again, and use it maybe every 2 days, with an OTC cleanser in between. It's just hard on the chemistry of my skin, I think. As I'm getting older, it's hard to battle oily pimples and deep wrinkles from dry, tired skin!!! I'll try it and report back if there's a positive change.

Pros:

My skin was smoother after about a week.
It also exfoliated my skin.

Cons:

It dried out my skin really bad. I'd put tons of moisturizer on and I'd still have tons of little flakes. It also never really got rid of the acne.

It's done a better job at clearing up the acne than anything else I've used, but my skin has never been this dry before in my life. Before I started using this, I had oily skin. I'd rather deal with oily skin than dry skin. After about a month I stopped using the toner and repairing lotion because those dried my skin out the most. My skin still hasn't completely cleared up.

Pros:

It works for a while.

Cons:

It eventually stops working.

Don't waste your time. It only worked for me for a few months and than it completely stopped and my acne was worse than ever.

Pros:

makes skin softer, clears blackheads and whiteheads.
works fast.

Cons:

takes up time, expensive, is used up quickly.
(personally made my forehead shiny).

Proactiv began working after two or three days. It made my cheeks specifically softer and my smaller pimples disappear. However, it left the bigger ones that I was worried about. It dried out the sides of my nose and chin. Works well for younger people it seems.

Pros:

My skin seems healthier. Because I spent so much on it, I am consistent about using it, which means I am taking better care of my skin. I have cleared up some, but still have some nagging zits. Before use, my acne was moderate, now it's mild.

Cons:

It really severly dries out the skin. Be sure to use a moisturizer.

I will order it again, but I would only recommend to friends who I think wouldn't mind taking a gamble.

Pros:

Proactiv clears up the blemishes and is easy on my skin.

Cons:

You must use proactiv everyday. It is time consuming, The cleanser doesn't remove all the makeup sp you may need to have another product on top of the Proactive line.

If you use this product you must use it everyday. I have skipped using it once my face begins to clear up and then it all comes back. I am afraid to change products though because proactiv does work, but only to an extent.

Pros:

-skin feels softer
-has times when its pretty clear

Cons:

-lotion is greasy
-it burns and itches a bit when you first use it
-doesnt make you confident, still insecure and doesnt prevent breakouts at all

the toner runs out very fast, i find the mask to work better than anything else. my skin feels smoother but i get ingrowns a lot and it doesnt seem to help prevent it or make my face "glowing." i still feel insecure. I am a little dissapointed..I think it works sometimes and doesnt others, but i dont think that has anything to do with the medication just how lucky you are that week. Im going to keep trying

Pros:

The cleanser is real good, It makes your skin soft and it helps control some acne.

Cons:

After using it for a month or longer it doesn't work, Your skin gets red and it does get somewhat flaky.

I believe you can go to wal-mart and get something more affordable and work just as good!!!!!!

Pros:

i just started using it like 4 days ago and my skin is a tiny bit smooth.

Cons:

it makes it really itchy after you use it and it gets rid of small pimples not that much withBIG ones. i'll see after a month if its good or not worth it.

i think that its working for my skin. the only thing that works for me is the toner and the mask thing. my forehead has LOTS of pimples and when i first starting using it , it took away the small bumps but kept the big red ones that hurt. i think you should try it cuz it may work for some skin types or maybe it wont. after a month i'm gonna see if its been working good on my skin or if its not worth the money at all.

Pros:

Within Days I noticed a difference. Smoother, less oily face.

Cons:

My neck broke out in hives because of the harshness of the peroxide formula. I had to discontinue use.

If you don't have sensitive skin, give it a whirl. I opted for the clinique skin care line which is not so abbrasive and have been super happy with it.
