Pros:

Improvement on less severe acne

Cons:

Billed me without warning me for 3 months.
Acne scars aren't healing
Very time consuming
Costly
Causes cystic acne

I've been using this product for 2 months. They say that it typically takes 4-6 weeks to see dramatic improvement. I'm right around that time frame and don't get me wrong, a lot of my acne has gone away, but the cystic acne and the scars are still there. Any salycic acid or benzoyl peroxide scrub could cure the less annoying acne I had. I was hoping for improvement on my cystic acne and scars...Nothing. I do use the emergency dose of benzoyl peroxide they give you as a "free" gift on the cystic acne but they only give you so much... My skin gets real oily after i apply it. It's really time consuming too. After my first month was up, They billed me $90 for three months which I was totally unaware of. I want to hope that it will work, but I have a feeling I'm going to have to go to the doctor and get a legit cream cause I'm running out of money and patience.

Pros:

I was able to purchase this product at an 'As Seen On TV' Store, therefore was able to try the product without joining the autoship program.

I found that the program reduced the size of my pimples, although did not clear up my acne entirely. The refining mask is probably my favourite product in the kit, since it is pretty effective at reducing the size and inflammation of the annoying 'look at me' size pimples.

Cons:

Besides clearing up only half of the problem, this product made my face feel like it was on fire! Also as a second note, be very cautious to read the ingredient labels of any products you're combining with ProActiv. A moisturizer with retinol for example may be way too much if your skin is sensitive. Keep this product out of the eye area, especially if you're skin tends to wrinkle since it's so drying.

I had to stop using this because it was so harsh. If you have hormonal acne on your chin, you may be able to get away with just using it in that area. Overall value is mediocre.

Pros:

cleared up under the skin acne and a fast way to get rid of overskin/underskin acne.

Cons:

It didn't really prevent zits.... everyday i had more. old ones were gone, but new ones kept popping up.

my acne wasn't that bad, but im a perfectionist. I was determinded to get better than not bad. Proactive really did help me with this goal. the first 3 weeks my acne was basiclly nonexistent.... but then my skin became irritated, dried out and peeling. i had to re-apply lotion at least 8 times a day.... it was awful. after that i cut down on my application, and then all the ance came back. after about a week of suffering through dry skin, blackheads and zits, i gave up and switched to a more promising product. eh. proactive is alright. doesn't work very well for harsh acne though.

Pros:

It makes my skin feel good..

Cons:

And I've been using it for about a month now; I have more acne than I used to; Is that just because it's STILL bringing it all out? Or should I just stop using?

I wanna know how long it takes to work on REAL PEOPLE. HELP! Hopeemilyxoxoo@[link removed]

Pros:

It cleared up my skin after my first day and I really like the product!

Cons:

Really expensive and i found that it smells bad and you can't use it on your nostrils so I had a really bad pimple there and I put it on there anyway and it smelt bad and everything!

I would use the product buy it once and if you like it and it works for you then stick with it but if not then try other stuff... if you have very light acne I would use mary kay it works will will very light acne and its not expensive, but it makes it worst then clears it ALL up so you don't get break outs!

Pros:

Works well most of the time

Cons:

Right now its failing me! Did they change their formula recently?

I've used it for almost 5 years it has been amazing especially at first! Seriously great. I mean yeah I still had a few zits here and there but nothing like the facefull I had prior to it. Yeah my skin dried out but you know what? I'll take Dry flakes ANY DAY over huge red spots on my face. You can put moisurizer on dry skin to hide it. BUt now all of a sudden I am breaking out TERRIBLY! This started a week ago so who knows maybe its me, hormones, stress etc. Not ruling those out. HOWEVER I did notice about 3 months ago that all of a sudden the cleanser felt different, much finer granuels. Less coarse. I can't help but wonder did they cheapen up their formula? And is that why my face is a mess right now? If anyone agrees with me please let me know!

Pros:

it works

Cons:

your skin gets addicted to it

I have been using pro-active since I started middle school. I am now finishing college and still am very dependent on it. I think my skin is very addicted to it. The moment I stop using it, even if it's just one night, my skin brakes out. I do not know what to do, I can not stop using it since I don't want acne but I know at some point I will have to. Bottom line.... this product work well but the moment I started using it my skin went from bad to horrible.

Pros:

at first makes your skin feel smooth after the wash

Cons:

-doesn't have any much of a result to see -dries out your skin
- if your skin is flaking the toner can sting -doesn't keep the oil away

I have heard of ProActive working for some people but it doesn't seem to work for me. You are not paying for a good product you are paying for the celebs to endorse the products. It is cheaply made and could be better. The only thing making it so popular is that it is shown of tv and they make it sound to good to be true... I regret wasteing my money on a product that just DOESN'T WORK!!!!!
