Pros:

-Cleared up skin
-stopped getting breakouts
-made skin nice and soft

Cons:

-You have to be really careful using it otherwise skin could get worse
-Possible for the first week to get Proactiv side effects: Redness, itchiness, dry skin, breakouts (it gets better after this)

I used proactiv and the first 3 days it was okay, then I got the side effects that I listed above, my skin was worse then. I'm so glad I stuck to it though because now my skin doesn't have a single blemish or pimple! My skin is so super soft and it really helped my confidence. I just love proactiv, although its a little expensive i say its worth every cent.

Pros:

None At ALL

Cons:

Caused worse achne than I ever had in my entire life. Caused like 5 months plus of pain and embarrassment.

I would never buy any product from these guys again. I used the original version back in the day but this Sh!t just caused massive zits within like two days of use. Like so big you have to pop them and then you get more after doing that. Then once you get rid of those another set comes in. It was a never ending cycle. I did everything right and even waiting 6 weeks to quit the product. Pure garbage, it also left these damn red marks that don't go away and I never get achne scars. Oh and 19.99 my ass.

Pros:

None

Cons:

It didnt do anything to help me! I've struggled with acne since I hit the 4th grade and my mom decided to try it out cause nothing was working. I used it for about 5 months and it made my skin try out, it was expensive, it made my acne worse, it made me skin red, etc. It's the worst.

I'm sure if you have light acne it would work great. But who actually has light acne? And why would you spend 30 dollars on it a month if you have light acne. It makes your acne worse and it bascially sucks. Dont get it.

Pros:

Makes skin feel really healthy, directions are clear, works!

Cons:

Can be drying

I wanted to get on here and tell people about my experience with Proactiv because I've read so many negative reviews. I was actually afraid to try it because all over the web people are blasting it! But if you really think about it, you are only hearing one side of the argument; people who a treatment has worked for aren't on these acne websites anymore, so you're mainly hearing from the people who a treatment didn't work for. Proactiv has worked wonderfully for me, but everyone is different, so there's no telling if it will work for you. Still, it can't hurt anything to try.. I was going through a "clear" skin couple of days when I first started Proactiv. For the first 2-3 days, my skin stayed clear and felt SO amazingly smooth! Then BAM, I ended up with cystic acne all over my face.. I had about 7 at once. However, something I noticed was that these cysts didn't stay under the skin for days/weeks; they were all coming to a head within 48 hours and were gone within 3-4 days of when they showed up. I continued to break out, although less and less, for the first 2 1/2 weeks. By the middle of week 3, I only had one small white head on my entire face. In addition, my skin felt and looked healthier than ever! I also wanted to share my experience because when I started getting cystic acne on Proactiv, I couldn't find anyone else who had a similar experience. Most people said it made their skin worse and was no good or that it immediately made their skin better. So if you are getting weird "short-term" cysts during the first couple of weeks, there is hope! Just keep using it exactly as it says to. One more thing- the products can be irritating. It is SO important to moisturize after the 3rd step. Their green tea moisturizer is great but expensive, so I use Neutrogena oil free moisture for sensitive skin. Also, if you rub the cleanser into your face too hard it can make things worse; don't force the medication in, just lightl

Pros:

Clears skin for a period of time.

Cons:

Stops working, skin doesn't look healthy, expensive, toner runs out faster than the other products, too much hassle to keep re-ordering on time.

I used Proactiv before, it stopped working after the third month so I stopped using it. Two years later I decided to give it another try and the same thing happened, I'm going to buy one more set to hold me off until my acne.org regimen arrives. Hopefully it works better than Proactiv.

Pros:

Clean smell, works if/when your consistant, works very well with oily skin. It lasts about a month and half, maybe longer it just depends, if you don't waste it.

Cons:

You have to be consistant with it. ( Thats not really a bad thing, but some people have trouble with that. ) It's exspensive but lasts if you don't waste it.

Its Amazing.

Pros:

Affordable, great customer service, easy to use, it works if used daily and consistently (as most skin treatments are to be used)

Cons:

Can be tricky to find the right treatment package

I used the original proactive system for about 2 months, and my skin errupted! I called in to their customer service, and the rep said it was probably purging my skin, but not strong enough to clear everything that came up. So she offered to send me the extra strength kit to try. Amazingly, it worked! My skin was super dry, so I had to adjust my usage of the lotion. After I had clear skin for some time, I switched to some fancier, more expensive products reccomended by my aesthetician. I broke out again and again, so now I have reordered the proactive! The customer service rep I spoke to was fantastic, she helped me figure out the best way for me to order the products I need to not waste my money with too frequent shipments. I have high standards and did not expect proactive to work, I ordered it because it was cheap and I was desperate. I am happy to have a line that works and I get five products for the price of ONE of my other ineffective products.

Pros:

Clears some areas for few days

Cons:

stings, dries skin out, only works for a little while and then makes it worse. It's waaay over priced

Don't waste your money on something that is going to make you red and inflamed.
