Pros:

It seemed to work at first.

Cons:

The cost. Smells bad.broke me out worse after long term use. Feels like sand paper on your skin.

I had pretty bad oily acne prone skin and decided to get proactiv. I used it for about 2 years and it just won't working as great towards the end. I called customer service many times and they said to use less...by the time I finally stopped using it, i was only using a pea size amount and my skin was red and still had acne. I found out that if you have a good cleanser you don't need a toner. THe toner made my skin stink also. After using proactiv i started seaching and found a better solution that works way better!

Pros:

Pimples dry up a lot faster.

Cons:

Bleaches your bedsheets, if you have dark colored sheets, it will turn yellow in a few days. Face looks greasy all day when you put it on. Smells like crap, and don't let anyone kiss you on the cheek.

I guess it works for some people, but not me.

Pros:

Absolutely NONE.

Cons:

DOES NOT WORK, DOES NOT WORK!! Makes skin WAY worse!! Enough said.

Buying Proactiv is the biggest mistake I've made in my life, period. It made my skin even more sensitive, broke out in places I've NEVER broken out before, made my skin extremely red and irritated everyday. Bottom line; don't trust those highly-paid actresses on TV ads. They do not use Proactiv.

Pros:

good advertising of product - that's all!

Cons:

Makes face to dry and red, if you appied it on the neck- even worse, peels like crazy!

Did not help me neither two of my friends. Try to cancel membership, you'll be on the phone for an hour asked several times by different people if you're sure. They even assume, you did not follow directions on those bottles, tell you information over again. I see here are some good reviews, maybe it helps to SOME people, don't know!

Pros:

None what so ever

Cons:

Dryness, itching and breakouts

It caused itchy bumps like eczema so They sent me the 'Gentle Formula' which is salicylic acid instead of benzyl peroxide and it caused me more breakouts than ever ' I was so embarrassed. I cancelled and went back to my Mary Kay regimen (Time Wise cleanser (combination/oily), blemish control toner #3, acne treatment gel and their oil control moisturizer #3 ' it's $60 about every 4 months but worth every penny) and the results are fabulous (just a matter of days), just as I remembered prior to trying Proactive. Buy Mary Kay instead.

Pros:

The repairing lotion works extremely well.

Cons:

It's too pricey, too slow-working- and has too many steps along with fake celebrity endorsements.

Proactiv wasn't a bad product but it is too pricey and you have to go through a lot of steps (sometimes even adding to the ones they made) and there are a lot more effective products out there. I would recommend ordering Bruunhause off of eBay if Proactiv hasn't worked for you. Your acne will clear up extremely fast. If you read reviews of it 90% of the people who wrote them said Proactiv failed them Bruunhause was amazing. It is a gel, but isn't so heavily medicated it will dry out your skin. If it is too expensive for you, or if you don't have severe acne, then I would recommend Acnexus (which can also be ordered off of eBay.

Pros:

None

Cons:

I had moderately bad cystic acne and ProActiv did nothing for me. Despite rinsing my face copiously, it still bleached our towels and ate away at the metal drain. If it does that to metal, what's it doing to your skin?

A complete waste of money. We canceled 3 times and they still sent me kits every 3 months. The only thing that ever worked for me was Mario Badescu drying lotion (the generic stuff found at any drugstore) and Accutane. If ProActive doesn't work, talk to your dermatologist about Accutane.
