Horrible Company EVER!!!!
The Proactive doesn't work!!!! The truth is that the company is a big ASS lie!!!! The product makes your skin really dry, red and looks horribly!!! IT DOESN'T WORK!!!! Proactive has the worst customer service department I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They took my credit card information and after 5 months I found out that they sent me just 2 kit products and they charged me almost 400$!!!!!!!!! for nothing. After I called them and I found out that the products actually do not costs as mush as it is on commercial or on their website but cost way more much! If they're telling you that the kit with products costs 35-40$ is a totally LIE!!! After they charged me 400$ they told me that one kit with 3 products costs 130$!!!!!! The representatives were horrible, rude, and didn't give me the information I needed to clear the account. They are just liars. Proactive is a complete rip off and horrendously managed to boot. Don't waste your money. Horrible product, horrible customer service EVER, rude and aggressive!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!! I won't give this horrible company no star for review!

Cons:

dried out face, didn't help acne

DON'T BUY IT. apart from the fact that this product is overpriced and doesn't work, their customer service tried ripping me off $72! I had to call several times and they claimed they "never received my package" when in the end they did! Horribly bad customer service

Pros:

None, unless you take wrinkles as pros

Cons:

WRINKLES!!! Very dry skin. Costs too much, and they come for more money.!

I used Proactiv last time about 5 years ago and still am paying the price--my skin got so dry that I developed wrinkles when I was 19! And the worst think about it, I could fill my wrinkles. Yeah, fill' em. That was killing me, so to deal with that I used heavier moisturizers, and that made me brake out even more. Pretty much any cream makes me brake out. Just imaging, having very oily skin, so you dry it so much, that you have to put some fat creams, which make it only more oily... How I deal with my face now? Not touching it my hands, because they always oily no matter how good you wash them. Also good sleep + lots of water. And washing face with black tea. Of course, I do regular fruit masks as well. And that helps very much. I just have to use some light lotion at night. I hope it will help.

Pros:

None!

Cons:

It dried out my skin and made me break out more than I already was.

This product is awful. You stop using it for a day and your skin begins to break out worse than before you used the product. They tell you it's only $29.95 and in reality they send you one kit that turns out to be over $100. It is so not worth buying at all! It is not affordable at all!

Pros:

It seems to work

Cons:

Deceptive about prices
makes my skin burn

This company is not upfront about their prices. I was charged the initial $30.00 for a one month supply. I was fine with that. When I ran out, I purchased more at $ 40. I was not aware that more was being shipped out so I got charged again. Today, I got a bill for $127. The representative told me what I paid for was an installment! I didn't know that it cost so much and thought I was paid up. Skin care should be so expensive that you have to pay in installments. On top up that, It hurts. the cleanser is so abrasive that It feels like your face is on fire once you apply the acidic toner. While it did clear up my breakups, there has got to be something else that will do the same. I cancelled my membership today and will NEVER have any more dealingds with this company. They Ought to ashamed.

Pros:

-clears up skin in the beginning

Cons:

-after a few weeks acne came back
-smells terrible
-expensive
-makes your skin SUPER DRY

I tried Proactive a while back. I gave it a shot since it has a money back guarantee. I made sure I got my money back before the 60 or 90 days were up! It ended up making my acne a little worse, and I got cystic ones that didn't go away. Don't waste your money. There are better products out there. Now that I know the key to clear skin is less irritation, I would never EVER try proactive again. It's too irritating.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Doesn't work. It causes dry skin, irritation, and redness. Main ingredient, Benzyl Peroxide has extremely dangerous long term side effects. Takes a long period of time to use. Proactiv company only cares about your money not your acne problem!

I've had acne for about two to three years now. I've tried every remedy out there. Everything from prescription facial cleansers to rubbing ginger root on my face. Proactiv is by far the worst. It didn't help my acne at all. The company uses celebrities to draw people in, but they could care less about you or your acne problems. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. They use deceiving prices after you buy. It says it costs 30 dollars but it actually requires three payments of 30 dollars and they have a four week automatic delivery service which charges you and send you a new kit after four weeks unless canceled on their website. I was told by everybody not to buy this product yet I went against my better judgement and bought it. I'll never make that mistake again. There is a reason this is only sold on the internet. Stores don't want to deal with such a deceptive company. DON'T BY THIS PRODUCT.

Pros:

I like the smell.....& sorta works..... (but not more than any other similar product......) It is a complete kit or program that motivates one to use regularly.

Cons:

SO Irritated by the 19.95 "OFFER" that signed me up for automatic payments/shipments that I was duped into...... I'm sure it was there in some part I didn't read - but it wasn't obvious, because I NEVER do automatic shipments/payment options. So I have the 2 unhappy options of paying for a product that I never intended to buy - at a price I wouldn't have OR Send it back through the mail...... NOT HAPPY with EITHER Choice.

Irritated..... I Will NEVER EVER use or encourage the use of Proactive again due to sneaky online tricky sales tactics ...... and now if you go on to get the "special offer" you'll know what you're getting yourself into. I sent feed back to the company ...... so we'll see if I hear back. The only thing that will prevent me from giving negative feed back would be if I get my "automatic shipment" $ back.
